This Seemingly Harmless Item Does INSANE DAMAGE
First up is how to weaponize Selune’s Seal! This chest deals 3-24 radiant damage to any heretics that touch it. And to get all your enemies to try to open it and take damage, all you need to do is head to the Owlbear cave as a cleric of selune. This allows you to pick it up and add it to your inventory. From there, head to a group of enemies you want to defeat, where there is also a trader nearby. Then, sell the Gilded Chest to the trader - use improvised weapon to pick up the trader and move him far away from everyone else - use an elixir of hill giant strength since your strength is too low as a cleric. And then pickpocket the chest back from him. Now it’s not your property and you can drop it right in the center of town and watch the fireworks as one by one they will try to pick it up. If any of them succeed the saving throw, just move the chest a little and they’ll start trying to pick it up again.
This Amulet is Secretly Overpowered (Advantage on Intelligence Saving Throws)
Use this Amulet to nearly guarantee success at making your illithid powers cost a bonus action instead of an action! This amulet is the Aberration Hunter’s Amulet and when equipped by a Githyanki - or any race disguised as a Githyanki - you can use this to nearly guarantee you succeed in getting the Awakened Permanent Condition from the Zaithisk in the Githyanki Creche. In order to get the awakened condition, you need to pass 3 Saving Throws. The first one is a DC 12 Intelligence Saving Throw, the second one is a DC 15 saving throw, and the last one you have a choice of either a Constitution, Intelligence, or a class-specific Saving Throw. So by equipping the Aberration Hunter’s Amulet and disguising as a Githyanki, you can gain Advantage on Intelligence Saving Throws. That means 2 of the 3 saving throws to get Awakened you’ll have advantage on, giving you a much higher chance at success and it’s important since Awakened is one of the best permanent conditions in Baldur’s Gate 3. And in order to get this amulet all you need to do is loot it off the corpse of Ghustil Stornugoss the Principle Healer of Creche Y’llek - the githyanki right next to the Zaithisk.
Perform on ANY Class
Next up - did you know any character can use the Perform action while they have an instrument equipped? That’s right, no need to be a bard or help Alfira come up with a song to earn the ability to perform. However, if you perform without Musical Instrument proficiency, then you will not be able to play well - you’ll even get a condition called Poor Performance. And that doesn’t just mean you won’t get any coin for performing, it also means you’ll drive everyone around you crazy. At camp your pets will howl and growl and run away, and you’ll get comments and insults such as offers to pay you to STOP playing and you can even get rocks thrown at you that deal bludgeoning damage. So be careful if you don’t have musical instrument proficiency and you try performing.
Newly Discovered Permanent Buff!
And next up is a newly discovered permanent buff which makes you unable to be knocked prone or moved against your will - that means you can’t be shoved, or be pushed back by spells such as thunderwave. This is amazing for traversing the secret chamber to retrieve the blood of lathander, and generally just great if you’re melee or enjoy standing on the edge of cliffs.

The Indiana Jones trick with the Amulet of Greater Health can also be used to steal the Necromancy of Thay book.
Don't do what I did in my honour run, use a bow as my switching item, I had no other items, it didn't work for me, maybe it was too big or only the string was on pressure pad.
I still managed to kill Raphael, just, but I wanted to get some more gear before that fight to make it easier.
easier way to get the book is just go into turned based mode as soon as you pick up the book. None of the traps go off and you can just walk out of there.
The Justiciar's Scimitar lost its required scimitar proficiency, because Shadowheart couldn't use it.
This literally just happened a short while ago. Shadowheart talks all the time about wanting to become a Justiciar. But then you find this blade and she can't use it as a pure Cleric (canonically).
So they decided to just drop that part so she, and everyone, can use it.
"that will CHANGE how you play Baldur's Gate 3"
"LAMP"
Thanks for the video.
I read that the Justiciar's Scimitar lost its proficiency prerequisite, because storywise it suits Shadowheart perfectly, but she doesn't originally have the Scimitar proficiency.
Sorry if someone already posted this.
12:00 - For people who don't mind a bit of cheese, you can get the effect of these boots for free by having a wizard and cleric in your camp cast them on all of your party members after each long rest.
That's not cheese though, it's a completely intended part of gameplay
The [Adamantine Scimitar] doesn't just apply the (ignores slashing damage resistance) to the weapon in your off-hand, but also to all slashing weapons in your inventory. Even throwing the [Comeback Handaxe] from your inventory will still allow it to ignore slashing resistance, despite not having needed to equip it.
You are incorrect about the “Hidden Lamp of Disappointment”. It most certainly shows up more than only right there. Although I know it’s in more places in act 3, I can’t remember off of the top of my head. I am however able to say with confidence that there’s also a disappointing lamp in the back of the Zhentarim hideout in one of the locked rooms all the way in act 1
"Lamp!"
Yep. Pretty sure there's also one in the Toy Maker's basement.
I just lost my honor mode to Ansur cuz I got complacent, I'm not crying you’re crying shaddup!
There are more portraits to find from DOS2. Red Prince, Ifan, Fane, Lohse, Sebil and Beast.
Selune chest and Boots of striding are obviously glitches, certainly not a secret permanent buff. Song of rest is definately a bug too
Chest is not a glitch. Thats just how the game works.
@@TrixyTrixter Hmm, selling the chest and pickpocketing it back so it doesnt have the "your property" tag sounds like a glitch to me tbh. If it damaged mobs just by putting it down without needing to sell and pickpocket that would be working fine imo.
I'd say it's more of an exploit than a glitch.
@@Siven80 it damage the mobs thanks to the incantations that the chest have, so if you steal it and put it down all the goblins try to interact with it to pick it up since is their property. The boots of striding are probably glitched yes. Song of rest i don't think it is, if u switch region other spells get refreshed and since song of rest is one of them u can use it again.
Highly recommend an Orpheus aligned gith playthrough, it feels like the game is designed around it when you do it
Roah also restocks the hunter's dagger so there's two nonunique weapons.
I tried acquiring the MANSCAPED buff, but they told me it was a microtransaction. I thought this game didn't have any.
12:25 a passive that applies only when you wear the armor is not a permanent buff
Yeah, really doesn't seem worth it for the amount of effort
@@dsvwtrbeytnryuneyou can just pickpocket it off her.
I was thinking about playing as a gith for my next run, but this has convinced me
The spell might gloves are also awesome for an Eldritch blast build
I have 2k hrs in this game and didn’t know most of this stuff 😂
13:43 there’s a lamp in act one hidden in the wall by the abandoned village that dose the same thing. Still awesome 🎉
Another great one mate, keep up the good work ❤
Damn i never been on that roof at 10:30. Crazy considering i did first act like 10 times already
I got screwed over by the Spear of Night bug On my Origin Shadowheart playthrough I thought I'd be clever and kill Aylin with the spear out of the cutscene by making a thrown weapon attack with it. The game had her come back to life as if you'd killed her any other way and the conversation gave me no option to become a Dark Justiciar as I was trying to do.
I've seen those oil lamps twice before. I can't remember where the other was, but I found one in the Zhentarim hideout under Waukeen's Rest.
997 hours played and still finding new things.
I missed that painting and forgot to look up how to complete the set argh!
That trick with the amulet would be nice…but you’re pissing off Rapheal anyway when you free Hope or taking the contract, so might as well just grab it without doing anything after you take the contract.
The reason the trick with the amulet is awesome is that for a lot of builds, it's super beneficial to raid the house early for the helldusk gloves and helmet, staff of spell power, the amulet of greater health and the gloves of giant str, even when you are like level 10 and not ready to face Raph.
I wanna do the fight with Raphael last so stopping the pressure plates for the legendary items is useful
too bad Karlach's line isn't "I LOVE LAMP" :)
I didn't realize Dame Aylin betrayal turned into an epic boss fight. That's definitely something worth doing in the next playthrough.
I feel like there's not enough boss fights in Act III. You hit max level, finish your build and achieve full power - now you only have like two or three fights left before the game is over :<
There's just not enough time to enjoy max level in the endgame.
I mean, cazador, lorororororororoakan, the steel watch spider thing, orin, gortash, a dragon, the one guy before orin, there's quite a few actually
@@isiahingram6427 Yea but you reach full power after doing at least two of those if not sooner, depending on the build. Then each encounter is a bit of a joke and often ends by turn 3 at most.
You end up not having enough encounters to enjoy your full power, is my point.
@@SerAlthur i suppose, I personally think the level cap should've been 16 just to get an even number of feats
@@isiahingram6427 I don't even that's the issue. I think there should have been more encounters that's all.
There's been speculation about cut content, regarding upper city. I feel it's really missing whether it's true or not.
The Dwarven splint armor also is able to be re purchased after a long rest
curiously at the end, you had the morninglord's radiance on the justiciar's scimitar. If I understand that buff, it's a one time thing after placing the 4 weapons on the pedestals. Did you save that buff before tackling the gauntlet of shar or was there's a way to reacquire it?
I saved it. I also tested if you can reaquire it and unfortunately that has been patched.
I may be wrong, but even when I chose the "Do nothing" options for Shadowheart, she did not kill the Nightsong anyway. Making her kill the Nightsong actually requires speech checks I believe.
If she spares her by choice, it means you did certain dialogues with her early on that makes her doubt her faith. And with making her kill the nightsong, no speech checks are made
There is another one of the lamps in the room that has the abyssal callers gloves in the Zhentarim outpost as I remember.
Question: The last bag trick was patched out? The one you could drag items from one bag inside a vendor's inventory to another in your's as long you dragged on the icon of the open bag? It stopped working after the last hotfix, apparently.
According to the wiki the Booal's Benediction buff was patched to be lost on death
Does the immovable buff also persist through long rest?
for the song of rest, will playing trigger the deaths of the dwarves in the underdark?
My first run was a githyank rogue and she was a MONSTER
Oh… so I literally murdered shadowheart immediately for like… no reason then 😅
What about Fane's portrait in the crumbling ruins?
Fairly certain all the origin characters have one
You're wrong about force conduit. The nova only procs with 5 or more stacks. I've been using the halberd for early game beef
Dumb question but don't you need the Gith healer alive to use the zaithisk ? But you need to loot the amulet from her corpse ? Or am I missing something?
You can still use the Zaithisk without the healer!
If you pass the deception or performance role after the zaithisk explodes, she'll stay in the room and you can kill her then.
@@Toyhouze Couldn’t you just pickpocket the amulet from her?
@@KaijuKrusader1 Tried but it wasn't there. Makes sense though - she must be wearing it.
@@Toyhouze Ah…okay. It’s just that Laezel is in my party and I doubt she’ll go for me killing the Gith healer before using the Zaithisk.
I wish you could get a companion to use the gith machine... I usually max Gale out with Tadpole skills so would be great if I could get him to do it but nope.
havent tried it myself, but have you tried moving every party member away from the machine except gale?
if you need a specific party member to talk to someone this is usually the best way to do it.
You can. I've done it with Gale multiple times because Wizards usually don't have great use for their bonus action and can combo stuff like Blackhole with AOE spells really well, and auto-crit on some attack roll spells is crazy powerful. You can give the buff to anyone you can get that early except Lae'zel (and Halsin, for obvious reasons).
So the "new permanent buff" is just a bug... Gotcha
There are more ingame lamps which have the same dialogue!
Lethal weapon will also proc with a dual longswords build
Wonder if that dual weilding thing with the adimantium simmy also works with the the mace and long sword
It does. I think the best use case for the adamantine weapons would have been with an adamantine shortsword, cause then the ignoring piercing resistance would also apply to your arrows
@@common_undead Mhm or a spear. There's barely any unique spears and even less that are magic focused
What is that weapon at 14:59?
There’s another lamp at the Zhent hideout Act 1
No exp for that trick with chest
Eeeh
Can you not pickpocket the amulet off the ghustil?
why would your cleric have low strength?
i've watched all of these through tiktok.
I'm REALLY into this game and still learned stuff here. /subbed
With a 110, 000 subscribers and actively growing, how much money is enough to make you happy without promoting a product that has no association with your channel. I guess there is no limit.
I've been using that unlimited short rest. It's a shame a vid was made of it and they might patch it. Though they haven't patched the other stuff so here's to hoping.
Smash
Many of these are bugs and will get patched
......ok
