What exactly is not working for you? I just went to an old save with the requirements for going to Grey garrison done, talked to Irabeth got the xp and reward for the inn attack, then exited out of the party select screen like in old patches. Are you sure you have done the quests in the market and saved the storyteller?

I agree that he is probably the strongest based on the teleport frenzy bug. There is a couple of other characters that have similar bossing capabilities to him, mostly others with %phys ults, because energy dmg +% phys is ridicolously bugged and busted and theres also Iron Man with his broken buff. Btw you do not need Gambit or Bishops energy buff to oneshot any bosses (including NG+), just BIS energy dmg Gear in all slots will do the trick too. Nightcrawlers biggest weakness is he comes online lategame with level 30+, while oher chars like Deadpool can be used on a low level import to NG+ game too (as long as you import decent level energy gear too)

@@VictorCreedGaming True, but Nightcrawler has the most positive bugs and wont get himself killed compared to everyone else, especially Iron Man who will one-shot himself against anything with damage reflect. It's part of the reason he wasn't playable in Ultimate Alliance. They initially planned for Jean or Nightcrawler to be playable based on who you chose to save. Both characters exist in the game code. Jean was also woefully underpowered since all the robots in Ultimate Alliance had inherent mental defense.

Yes I agree he is the strongest overall. I don't remember who I played in MUA, I think Deadpool (if thats the game where he has spin2w haha), only played thru it once, ages ago.

You will have to check places with lots of priest, like some of the bounties. It's been too long so I don't remember but pretty sure Beina bounty has SoT and BDD. Either way at least one of the bounties has it and also other encounters with higher level priests. Cool that you managed to steal some stuff, it's quite fun, but a little op. :P

It is important that you didn't actually learn the steal spell on levelup. You need to only have it on a grimoire, have 2 different grimoires equipped, once you stole a spell you switch to the other grimoire and it will become permanent.

Not sure if this was upscaled, video is 8 years old, so I don't remember the details, but this might have been on release of the first dlc. Pala has pretty insane defenses, so definitely possible to solo even on upscaled. I do remember doing upscaled with other classes like chanter and cipher.

Some of the bounties have a lot of spells. Not sure if you get unique Arkemyr or Concelhaut spells elsewhere tho.

Yes, the 2nd level pala is for saves, first level for bypassing DR with smite. (which most times I ended up using the force dmg ring lol). If you're behind in levels might want to hold off on pala, but i took it early because I changed my alignment to chaotic thru dilogue (for trickster) so taking pala early made that a lot less of a hassle.

Hey man, mother theresa does not work at all anymore, they nerfed ele barrage and it only works with spells now. The SS also used ele barrage, but it was a very small part of the damage, so you can just pick another feat. Other than that most of the stuff with Ss still works, however I memed around with Opportunity Attacks (AOOs) and I would not advise doing that, so instead of picking feats around that, rather pick the cleave line of feats.

Ye, See invis only has 30 units range (or smth like that). Back when I played this build greater invis was also bugged and overrode see invis, so once i got that i could just attack them in melee. These days I'd prolly just play Vivi ranged, or if you really want to play SS get a mythic path with good dispels.

So how would you go about it these days? I'm testing it right now on a custom difficulty and taking drezzen is a pain right now cause there are so many deamons that can just see me. And it really is a glass cannon built

2 levels witch of the veil paired with either vivisectionist or kineticist is easiest. If you really wanna play sword saint I would use scrolls of dimension door and just bypass the gates in drezen (takes a little practice). Later on you get a spell that protects from divination (needs trickster spellbook) that will help a lot.

Sounds interesting. Personally I usually play true solo, so I don't ever pick compainons even if it was just for a couple seconds. How does NG+ chaining work, do you still have to do the tutorial and fight against somewhat juiced enemies? Or do you just import savefiles?

You put it in consumable slot (I think it appears in whichever companion did the events consumable slots anyway) and then use it on the item u wanna dupe.

Well, both Oracle and SS were played by me, when things were still in the game that got removed by now. If you're willing to dip 2 levels into Witch of the Veil, Oracle has a better earlygame, because you can stay at range, however SS also blows up enemies faster. For Last Azlanti def Oracle or even better yet ranged Vivi, but if you don't mind reloading every no and then SS is really fun.

Sorry for late reply. As you saw in the vid it's a ranger (sharpshooter or no subclass both works) into cipher soulblade. Stats don't really matter but high Might is slightly faster dmg buildup and high perception helps with earlygame accuracy. The base idea of the build was abusing the soul blade passive (gaining max concentration and focus on kill, which also triggers on downing your own pet. You can extend this effect indefinitely by un-/reequipping the necklace "Strand of Favor", this way you can infinitely stack +10 focus per "kill". Personally I wouldn't recommend this build tho, gaining the initial amount of focus to oneshot everything is very tedious (it will last over the entire game tho if extended long enough). If you like a cheesy oneshot build I'd rather play monk (any class combination or even singleclass work) and use Mohora Tanga weapon. Yes, I have killed him like this in practice runs several times (just never accidentally killed an imp to to reset invis) you never lose invis by operating the levers. Pillars 1 also had cheesy builds or a straight up exploit one, the chanter. BG3 is just much less dangerous due to enemy stats, enemy abilites follow the same rules as players (without a creative mind behind it to create busted combos), while in games like pillars enemies got overtuned stats/damage numbers. This was a lot worse in PO2 tho, POE1 was very balanced and fun.

Hehe ye was my first attempt at her in Honour, so I had no idea brand would trigger clones. It's much better to just shoot at her like you mentioned anyway, because with brand its way more dangerous to accidentally kill her.

I honestly think almost any build can do it, picking your fights wisely and well geared is more important than build. That being said some classes are ofc stronger than others. Assassin with dual cbows probably has the best dmg at level 3-4, because if you dw and attack from stealth you will attack with advantage on both shots and still get back your action and bonus action, so 4 attacks first turn 2 with advantage. Gloomstalker is close because of dread ambusher and ofc becomes more interesting at 5. Shadow Monk is actually also a class I played quite a bit. You can play it with a twist if you want to be very safe: Use Tavern brawler with returning pike and Githyanki as race for proficiencies. You can throw out of darkness with throwing weapons (even tho with good cloud placement you don't need to) and bonus action hide in cloud for max safety. If you have to throw out of cloud you'll have both advantage from stealth and disadvantage from blind. But if you placed your darkness well you can come out of the cloud each turn while remeaining hidden, throw with advantage and go back hide in it again after.

You're probably right. I sided with the harpers in my first playthru but went full durge on the pixie, so I never learned about that buff.

She is alive and I already bought it from her, but then kept forgetting to use it. Should be next episode where my brain finally remembers.

The original idea was to use Diadem of Arcane Synergy together with +5 wis from longrest buff in A2 (for +6 to damage). However since they changed Synergy to only work with conditions inflicted on enemy I'm not to sure about it anymore. Could always use stuff like reverbration and radiating orbs, but I'm wondering if it isn't better to just get 18 Dex via 17+ auntie boon.

The main reason I didn't commit to Dex is because you need Hag's Hair to get it to 18, while the wisdom buff is a longrest buff that you only keep during A2 (if never resting) but it keeps your Hag's Hair flex if wanting to switch to smth like Charisma for A3 (24 CH needs Hag's Hair). However the more I think about it Charisma doesn't seem all that great anymore with POBs extra attack stacking gone. Even if I wanted to respec into pala 7 with Aura of Hate, having 22 CH will not really lose me all that much dmg, because 27 str pots are still a thing and the hate dmg would just be added either way. (I mean ye it would be 1 point more dmg with 24 but thats a very small deal :P)

Not in Honour Mode anymore they fixed it, but should still work in Tactician and lower.

Afaik it's a certain amount of long rests after you first arrived. But with my strat I don't rest in A2 and only have the right amount to trigger durge in A1, so he stays alive "infinitely".

@@VictorCreedGaming oh wow good to know. yeah, gloomstalker is my best-known character type, and I almost never rest either. I get all 4 perma-buffs and leave them for all of Act 2 and much of 1.

With pala you also don't ever need to rest, since you can get infinite sp with just two sorc levels and convert these into spell slots. But the method of getting sp in A2 is mega tedious, but in A3 it becomes extremely easy. So for A3 I'm wondering if I should either completely change my build or just add 2 sorc and palalevels at the end.

@@VictorCreedGaming I actually dont know the trick of doing that. I haven't done much at all with Paladin yet. I've mostly focused on stealth with shadow monk or gloom. I've also been doing single-class, actually. At least for tactician, I found it made things more interesting. I'm not sure that duergar or durge is necessary. I do have a single class duergar (not durge) shadow monk in Act 3 who basically hasn't died (once in testing against the forge guardian but now I know how to do it every time), but the duergar part isn't that necessary. I'm a big fan of halflings. I also have a gnome barb that is shockingly good, as well, that used shattered flail, bearheart, periapt, and could basically straight-up win any fight without stealth or prep. He literally just straight-up killed the forge guardian by standing there and hitting, trading blows. And, finally, next on my list to try honor mode with, after gloomstalker, is abjurer.

Oh yeah Durge or Dure are not require at all. They do make the game a lot easier tho. AOE shattered flail is quite fun (or force conduit weapon :)). Abjurer is pretty powerful, but the dmg output is very low compared to martial classes with extra attack(s).

Hehe we will visit her eventually, most things stay available after starting A2. (the only thing I ever noticed goes away is Gith patrol, but there is plenty more Gith's in Creche anyway. :)

Usually I go as low risk as possible on nautiloid, this run i went way too risky tho lol. I guess if you rush to the end first and then blow up the tanks its pretty safe.

@@VictorCreedGaming Great to see you doing this! I enjoyed watching you back in the Pillars days. On Tactician solo, I'm around 7 for my last 7 attempts for getting xp from the lieutenant and mind flayer. I do use the companions there for that, similar to Ciliant Lis (sp?) in Pillars. I don't try to kill the cambions - that is far more iffy, but killing the mind flayer and lieutenant isn't risky. You don't really have to take damage at all, or if you do, it is a guaranteed 6 damage. Of course, if Sheart fails both commands, you can't do it. Main strat is to have US handle most of both groups of adds, have Laezel rush and pick up the Everburn sword before attacking. And have your MC and her hit the Lieutenant while Sheart does the 4 barrels and initiates the cutscene with the 2nd group of adds. Sometimes her radiant cantrip hits the Lieutenant. You, US, and Laezel get a bless before a refresh right before the fight. I use the 4 chests (3 big and 1 little) to mostly or fully block the cambions (I'm inconsistent with fully blocking them each time). You also have mage hand for a bit of extra here and there. That's mostly it. The barrels do about 30 damage to the Lieutenant.

Hehe I'm too lazy for all that work (and even some rng with command) just to hit level 2, when literally all you need to do is munch Gales hand off. :)

The action economy is rough. On Tactician, if you attack from turn based (outside of combat) you regain your action on combat start, losing that is massive, especially in the early game. I barely ever used fog cloud or darkness on Tactician, but now it's gonna be pretty important until I have 3 rogue levels for Assassin. Haven't fought too many bosses with legendary skill yet, on my testrun I fought the owlbear and ofc I saw Grym's increased movespeed, so we'll see how impactful that will be.

gloomstalker, properly understood, should make Acts 1 and 2 pretty straightforward. I don't know Act 3 as well. You don't need to do any fighting pre-lvl 4 other than the goblin ambush. However, if you don't get your attack back after initiating anymore, perhaps that changes things significantly. Lvl 5 also comes with very little fighting, especially with the Kuo-Toa area xp. And then you just need to beat goblins to open everything up all the way to Moonrise and Last Light with no fighting, except the shadows/harpers fight with Yonas, for the xp.

Boalll has a hidden check in dialogue, failing it locks you out of the easier check to reveal him and then you have to be his bitch and still meet a fairly high skillcheck, so I left him for later just in case. :) Act 3 is probably the easiest Act, there is so many completely absurd exloits you can do, that I haven't decided yet if I will stay with this build or just go Sorcadin for max damage.

@@VictorCreedGaming Yeah, you mean the DC 10 nature check? It isn't 100%, but I prepare pretty strongly for that check. I do that area after Kagha while I still have the statue before giving it to Mol, and I wear Findus' circlet, the ring above the bibberbangs, and the hide armor from Aaron, plus shapeshifter ring and guidance. And if ranger, I'm a halfling =)

At level 5 you get invis as cantrip, it is really good for setting up fights.
