i really hope that Z-A releasing in 2025 is because of them slowing down for the sake of the developers and not because the launch of the switch successor is going to extend the deadline

My personal hope for Star Fox is that we get a Star Fox Assault remake, it does really well and then Switch 2 launches with a Star Fox Assault sequel that erases Command from the face of the earth/banishes it to an alternate timeline

Yu-Gi-Oh Dungeon Dice Monsters needs a modern remake.
Don't tease me with hope of Starfox....unlike most I actually liked Starfox Zero, just needed more content. If we get Prime 2 Remastered and Starfox Assault HD or a new Starfox game in this Direct...this will already be the best Direct of the past few years for me lol.

Prime 4 is a Switch exclusive. Even in the recent investors meeting it's listed as a Switch game. The games been essentially done for awhile and been in the testing phase for a year. It's a Switch exclusive, and will come after Prime 2 and 3 are out.
If they show Silksong in a montage with no release date, it's fans are going to burn down the entire world. So I kinda hope you're wrong on that one, lol.

Odyssey sequel is not happening. Nintendo doesn't do 3D Mario sequels. Each system gets a new 3D Mario. Galaxy 2 was the only exception and that was cause they had left over ideas from Galaxy 1 and the Wii didn't have DLC capabilities. So they had to release it as a new game. SPRed is likely just the next 3D Mario for the new system.
I just want a Chibi-Robo GC HD port from Nintendo and I'm never gonna get it

Interesting thing with those trademarks for Starfox, but you mentioned one was connected to toys. Now I know Nintendo directs haven't always been about games, I mean the last one talked about the Nintendo Museum in Japan, sometimes they mention the theme parks or even the films. So here is my prediction on what you said, I think we are going to get some Starfox LEGO sets, probably stuff like the Arwing or the Great Fox or something along those lines. They just recently announced the Deku Tree 2 in 1 set for Zelda, so a Starfox set isn't a complete longshot, after all we have Star Wars LEGO and what is Starfox if not furry Star Wars?
This may though this is unlikely too, go for a LEGO Starfox game, again Horizon is coming to LEGO in video game for so why not Starfox, but I would be down with Assault coming to switch, online Assault multiplayer is a dream for certain. But I can't say I'm 100% either way. I'm keep expections low for this one.

I’m a big star fox fan as well. I will say that I think it’s more likely that they would remaster star fox adventure before assault. Mainly because some plot points in assault will only have context if you played adventure. Specifically crystal and slippys roles in assault
I'm hoping for ports of Kirby Planet Robobot, Kid Icarus Uprising, and Bravely Default.

They already said the Direct will be focusing on Switch gams for the second half of 2024. (Though we know there will always be 1 or 2 things that are Q1 of the next year) There will not be anything movie related lol. MK9 is for the next system, no Switch 2 news, WW/TP aren't happening. We don't need TP on 4 systems in a row and WW on 3 out of 4 systems in a row that's absurd. They could act as filler titles on Switch 2 to help with the wait of the next Zelda, even though Zelda is a dead series now after BOTW/TOTK killed it. Splatoon 3 is done. You can have maybe one new Kirby game. And Mario Odyssey 2 isn't happening, ever. Each system gets one 3D Mario then they move on to a new direction.

why would some online opinions turning sour matter for making a sequel? odyssey sold well right? and got critical success. even user reviews on metacritic is like 8.9. just because there are one or two dozen popular videos about sour opinions doesn't have some implication about how profitable or that a ton of people loved it and want a sequel. imho this is a misconception born from just commonly seeing popular critiques.

Respectfully I think it’s a little bit stupid too think direct isn’t going to be good it possible could just be mid but I believe something big maybe as a final hit and last stand is coming because they said they want 13.5 million switches sold that’s crazy dude before the switch 2 too and already announcing it !? They need a real game changer a system seller to come out on this direct so to say it’s gonna be aight is a bit of an understatement but if it is just mid j mean only price drops and system bundles could really save it then

lol I’ve seen so many of these videos of predictions and Nintendo might deliver on 1/4 of them…yeah, no Twilight Princess remake, no Wind Waker remake, no Mario Odyssey 2….FINALLY a Metroid Prime 4, but not really lmao, it has no definite release date, so I’m still not holding my breath….ugh, Nintendo kinda sucks anymore

Easiest Mario game ever
No, it's a horrible 3D Mario game. 64, Galaxy, and 3D World/Bowser Fury all blow it away. The only good thing about Odyssey was it's visuals. It was horribly boring and repetitive, it had a lot of utterly pointless content that did literally nothing. Like the costumes, why bother unlocking them if they don't do anything? The game's lack of bosses was an issue, like really fighting the same rabbits over and over again got annoying. Why switch from stars to moons? Just cause? Made no sense, and my god there was like what, 800+ moons? And you didn't even need to go past like what, 300? The game looked good but almost all of it's content was hollow pointless junk. The gameplay loop was repetitive and boring, go here, and no matter where you look OH a moon! collect, oh another one, collect, oh and another one, collect, then rinse and repeat with going to another level.

@@ItApproachesI disagree with your take on the outfit and moons primarily because they feel like nit picks. The costumes aren't supposed to do anything, they are purely cosmetic which is fine, they don't need to anything. The moon is a weird nit pick considering that Sunshine had you collecting shine sprites which are Sunshine basically (yeah I know Suns are stars but they can be separated for story purposes or myths).
But yeah I'm not a fan of odyssey anyways.

Might be a controversial opinion, but I think the campaign of star fox zero is MILES better than Assault, and only slightly worse than 64.
That said, if they do remaster Assault, the online multiplayer will be absolutely insane. I would buy it just for that.
