I'm on team "this was a GREAT direct" especially with the fact that the Switch is winding down. There's so many games I want to get from this one. Mario & Luigi, Hello Kitty, Zelda, Ace Attorney Investigations...

Yeah! its impressive how they are still releasing amazing content for the switch even tho is in last years of life. Those four games were also my highlight of this direct ❤🎉
I thought this was one of the best directs I’ve ever seen! I am so excited about the Zelda game, I think it’s a great way of mixing the old with the new with a traditional top down style, but open exploration as well! That and Metroid prime 4 were definitely the highlights for me ❤️
Agreed! By far the best Direct in the past 4 years. My head was spinning after the event.
I can smell the Kool-Aid from here. Lol
With the new Mario and Luigi game, it looks like it does go back to the art style of the original GBA game, but enhanced in HD and 3D, especially with that thick outline of the character models. I personally think they nailed that art style of a "classic" look for the series but in a modernizing way, going into the first HD game in the series.
Lots of good remakes, rereleases, and remasters to be excited for
I am super excited for that Zelda game. And i am so happy it comes out this year. I think it's awesome they are giving Zelda her own abilities and world.
I really thought the switch was dead, and we’d just get “hold you off till the next system” games.
But Mario & Luigi, Zelda, Ace Attorney, Danganronpa, Metroid Prime?! Awesome stuff coming, the switch is going out with a bang!
I was happy with the Direct. Definitely going to be picking up a lot of these releases. Great video as always!
I feel you on the first person perspective for Metroid Prime, I also get some motion sickness from playing POV type games. I've gotten more accustomed to it recently, so I've been considering picking up the remastered and seeing if I'm feeling the series.
Marvel vs. Capcom Fighting Collection: Arcade Classics was the best gaming news I've heard in a long time and reason alone why I liked the Switch Direct 👍
I definitely think it was a very strong direct given the fact we are in the final days of the Switch.
I think Mario and Luigi, Zelda, Metroid Prime 4, DQ 1-3 and Mario Party are all huge additions that I'll be picking up for sure. I'm with you regarding Donkey Kong Country Returns though. I am a huge DK fan and I think it's a cop out to do a second port of the game. It's been 10 years since the last new DK game and that doesn't sit right with me. If there weren't so many other great additions, it would be a bigger issue, and I'm not mad about them doing something rather than nothing. But I feel like a new DK game is well overdue. As a whole, great direct in my opinion.

Still holding out for Metroid prime 2 and 3 remasters! I’m hoping now that we have a 2025 timeframe for MP 4 that MP 2 and 3 remasters are coming soon
Metroid Prime 4 looks freaking amazing and Zelda looks awesome. Mario Party also looks promising, and I’m super happy for Mario and Luigi fans. Other than that, the direct didn’t have much else to offer IMO.
I feel like alot if the games with 2025 release will be switch 2 games
I was actually really happy with this direct, I think they are going out with a bang on the switch.
Mio is a metrovania, and as an avid Hollow Knight fan I forgive you, because it also reminds me of Hollow Knight! Lol.
I dont think I'll be able to resist the Hello Kitty game.
I am super excited for the new Zelda game for many reasons. Playing as Zelda for one. But it looks so interesting and different! I'm glad they are switching it up.
I FREAKED OUT when Miles Edgeworth showed up. I mean I went crazy, I wish I was recording my reaction lol. Edgey is my absolute favorite and I love the Ace Attorney games.
All in all a good direct in my opinion.
I’m REALLY excited for the new 2D Zelda game, playing as Zelda herself! This and the DQ games + all Metroid made this an A level showing 🤩
Super excited about the new Zelda and of course the new Mario Party! Nintendo really hit it out of the park in this direct. The Mario RPG also looks great but I've really OD'd on RPGs this year 😅.
Mario and luigi brothership is a launch day buy for me

I thought the direct was amazing and the best for the last 5 years.
I think referring Phantom Brave as a "series" is a bit of a stretch. The original game was released on the PS2 and everytime they ported it to another system they gave it a new subtitle. So I think this is only the 2nd gave, but maybe someone else is more informed.
Metroid Prime 4 is 100% a dual release and I have a momentarily feeling of disappointment from the new Zelda just because I was expecting a remake but once that passed I'm all abroad especially cause I loved the Link's Awakening Remake and the art style.
PB is NIS classic IIRC... so it's part of a series of NIS games.... so in that way...maybe?
Unpopular opinion but I wasn’t excited about anything in this direct :/ but I am happy for the Zelda fans to get a game form Zelda POV
Samee, I’ve never been interested in Metroid, I’ve tried Zelda and kinda liked it and Mario party games I’ve kinda grown out of
Im more interested in tomodachi life and other mii games, most Mario games (especially the platformers) and animal crossing side of things and unfortunately we didn’t get much of these
I personally wouldn’t go that far, but I also agree. Outside of Metroid, Zelda, and a few other things, this direct was painfully mid.
It was a great direct and was bettee than my expectations. I still think we will have one more Nintendo Switch focused Direct in September and a Switch Successor reveal in October.
ugh i'm so tired of remakes and releases. just make new stuff. it'd be ok if they didn't charge full price for them and nintendo never puts anything on a good sale.
