But as for my predications for our upcoming June Nintendo Direct Predictions for this June 2024 Nintendo Direct, I have some interesting and different predictions that won't make this your typical Nintendo Direct predictions video...

To be honest Nishquik... FE4, Prime 4, and a Zelda remaster all in one direct doesn't sound impossible, I think we could see that! I like the Mario Galaxy 2 prediction, to add to that - what if Mario 3D All Stars comes back into stores this holiday for a second limited time run and they add Galaxy 2?! With the success of the Mario movie as well as increased Switch software/hardware sales, I think this is the best time to re-release 3D All Stars with an extra spice for more incentive to get it - that being Galaxy 2!
That would be cool to see 3D All Stars back + Galaxy 2 being sold too! It just begs the question again... why the heck did they have that limited window for it in the first place?? xD
I truly don't have many expectations for the June Direct, especially since Directs for Nintendo Systems late in a console's life are usually lowkey, but anything can happen.
I believe the reason why Galaxy 2 wasn't rereleased with 3D All Stars was because it's one of the most pirated games on the Wii. That doesn't mean it won't come to Switch, or be rereleased for that matter.
I would love to see Metroid Prime 4, but since the direct will focus on Switch games releasing for the rest of 2024, I highly doubt we'll see it, let alone any updates. I would love to see a Metroid Prime 2 and 3 remake/remaster come to Switch; I think that's possible.
My predictions:
- A crossover game featuring lots of original Jetix characters (probably Kingdom Hearts IV or something else)
- New version of Tomodachi Life, with a wild Mii maker (like in Miitopia)
- New Mario Party with the addition of Geno, Vivian and Pauline
- New Rhythm Heaven installment
- Duelverse, the first fighting game full of various duelists (from the Yu-Gi-Oh! universe)
- Enhanced ports of Fortune Street and Mario Sports Mix, now with the addition of Geno, Mallow and a few others (who didn't make it in the original)
- An action-oriented platformer featuring Geno as the protagonist (same treatment as Snufkin, but with combat)
- Mario and Sonic in Paris

About fe4 and fe5. I’ve heard a lot of people who just know that they are related suggest that they should be combined into one package. However, I see this as incredibly unlikely, they are just too different both in terms of story and gameplay. To make it clear, fe5 is not a sequel to fe4, nor is it a prequel. It’s a midquel. It takes place during fe4, with drastically different gameplay. It’s been common to call fe2 the “black sheep” of the franchise due to how different it is, but in my opinion fe4 is just as unique if not more. Fe5 meanwhile has more traditional fe gameplay, but with it’s fair share of weird and unique mechanics of its own. It just doesn’t make sense to have them in one package, if nothing else because they are fully complete experiences on their own, and like, fe3 did include a remake of fe1 originally, but they still remade the games separately, so yeah, I highly doubt we’ll get both at once. I do think that we’ll get fe4 though (and Thracia will probably follow eventually).
Doesn't Thracia also have the largest cast of characters in the series in terms of units you can recruit? It would be tough to combine them but if they can find a way it would be cool
@@nishquikpops Thracia has 52 playable characters(but you can get only 47 in one playthrough) ...so it's highter then most FE but not the highest...
I also agree that both do not really fit together as one combine remake...the only real solution would be to go the FF7, RE2/RE3 remake road to make them fit together(take the base story and gameplay and redo everything else)...but even then I would expect most of thracia to be cut for it to be possible...(like a small dlc rather than a full game)
If they did Frankenstein the two games together it wouldn't be the worst thing. They take place in the same time frame, so they could do something creative and additive with that. But if they don't, there's probably going to be some other extra dimension added to the FE4 remake that will make it stand on its own.
It's a win-win. SoV set a high bar!
Final Fantasy 13 mentioned!! I have a love-hate relation with that game. Overall I'd say its an underrated and overhated game. Received well by critics but trashed by fans. It just came in the wrong era, where jrpgs were in a small declive. Square wanted to push graphics rather than gameplay, they had to create a new engone, crystal tools, for the new "Fabula Nova Crystallis" universe/lore they were creating, which includes FF13 and others like FF versus 13 which later became FF15. In fact there are some trailers of FF15/vs13 in said engine on PS3. Anyways, the battle system is simple at first but gets more comlicated, it shines the most during boss fights, class shift/paradigm shift during battle is like the main mechanic. Not turned based but active time battle, you have a bar that fills up and different attacks take certain amount of slots, but you gotta be quick, the everyone can attack when they have the chance, no turns to wait. Fans complained about it not being an evolution, as you were still scrolling through a menu of actions instead of moving, and that the maps were too linear (even tho FF10 and even 7 are very linear aswell). Ironic as fans critizices FF16 for being too different and not the classic turn based. Square is weird, they tend to release anything but what the common sense would have done, although there was a recent change in the command chain, they will focus on big titles again... but they are still on that wester audice pleaser phase. The creation and use of said engine was a pain for them, could be hard to port, the trilogy is seen (unfairly) as the black sheep of the franchise, even ff16 and ff7r were not selling as they expected, but they realized the problem of the small playstation 5 audice so... who knows... as you said its one of the FFs that haven't received a rerelease, but it would be weird to have FF13 before the rumored FF9 remake. I'd love to have the trilogy on the switch tho. But they know that trilogy is not as beloved as other entries.
Interesting insight! 13 seems cool and the characters seem fun which makes me interested in those games. FF is interesting as both fans and SE sometimes don't know what they want. Many people want FF to go back to turn based games, but idk if that's the issue they're having rn. I could get them and start them on Steam, but I really hope they come to Switch!

What I need at a bare minimum to be hyped about this direct is fire emblem 4. That combined with Elden ring and metaphor would get me through the rest of this year for the most part. Icing on the cake would be wind waker twilight princess. With having both steam and Nintendo I’m suddenly far easier to please lol

I think we will def see FE4 remake, with Thracia coming as DLC down the line. Prime 2 is most likely gonna get remastered and they’ll end the direct with either a small trailer or developer discussion of Prime 4. I can see them talking about that the game is progressing but will show more during a switch 2 presentation later this year.
Awesome video man! Got me even more hyped for this upcoming direct! What i actually would like nintendo to do with the Zelda games is remaster Windwaker for switch and to actually do a complete remake of Twilight princess for switch 2. That would be an awesome way for them to give us a new Zelda game in the early days of switch 2 and could really show what the console is capable of.
So, are people still forgetting that Pokemon have their own directs now?? They're never in general Nintendo directs anymore lol.

I love ffxiii trilogy so much , everything about it, they appeared on steam playstation and xbox 360. I have the trilogy on my series s. need this on the switch
FE 4 is already on the japanese NSO whereas FE 5 is not.
Therefore I think FE 5 has more chances to get a remake :)
All the more reason to get a remake so all regions can play the game and not have to skip part of the Jugdral story.
At this point im convinced fe4 remake will never happen, it's been years and ive been disappointed too many times

First: I assume DWO referes to the new Dynasty Warriors that was just announced? do you know how many Musou they release each year, including all licences? Plus, a next gen mainline musou and a switch nintendo centric musou would hit very different audiences anyway
Two: I never said it wouldn't release AFTER January, technically. Three Hopes released just 4 months and a half after its reveal...
Three: we don't know if Legacy is a new IP or not. Could be another Xeno something, but yes, it's more likely to be new, in which case, it'd be team B, not team Takahashi, so no impact whatsoever. "Legacy" could fit a Xenoblade 3 Warriors taking place in Aionios, too, but point 4 contradicts Legacy being a musou
Four: A musou game wouldn't be developed by Monolith, you know? Monolith is likely working on two projects in house right now, my bet is the polishing of this new IP, not directed by Takahashi (like Baten Kaitos), and work on a X DE, maybe even a third team started production for X II or something. Then they're working on support for Splatoon 4, next Zelda, next Animal Crossing, etc., so they could totally support a musou game by giving directions as consultants or something.
Also, if they make a Xenoblade Musou, the point is fan service. They're definitely working on the X part of the franchise rn, so it's now or never to make a fan service game focused on Shulk, Rex, Noah & co., before the focus of the IP switches to X for a while.
Also also, a nintendo musou game releases every 2-3 years. the last one released 2 years ago, and it was right before Xenoblade 3 released, so it makes a lot of sense for a Xenoblade Warriors. What, they'll make ANOTHER Fire Emblme Warriors? "A New Hope"? or a TOTK focused AoC-like game, but... is that really worth it?
No, Xenoblade Warriors just makes too much sense. Or some other random IP, like... idk, Splatoon Warriors. Kid Icarus Warriors? Star Fox Warriors? no, those last two didn't even get a game for Switch. Mushroom Kingdom Warriors? yeah, could be, but... I just can't see Mario's face for a while now, with everything they released these last 12 months, for real 😭
