- On today's episode, we continue our Spring Previews discussing the Ole Miss Rebels. Can Lane Kiffin and the Rebels win a National Championship this season? Are they realistic title contenders? With the schedule that Ole Miss draws, their path to at least a 10-2 season is very doable and that should get them into the 12-team CFB Playoff.
On offense, bringing back QB Jaxson Dart with a bevvy of weapons should make them as dangerous as always. Ulysses Bentley can fill the void of Quinshon Judkins at running back, and the addition of Juice Wells to go with Tre Harris at wide receiver should be threatening.
On defense, Pete Golding has a ton of weapons with the additions of Walter Nolen, Princely Umanmielen, Chris Paul, Trey Amos and more. Can the defense be so improved that the offense doesn't have to score a ton of points every week? We discuss it all with Steven Willis of Locked On Ole Miss.

@@jrebel1975 yep the funny thing is we wanted to lose him 2 years before he actually left as well.. lol. Pete is an ok DC, he just has bad habits. He loves to blitz both inside backers leaving the middle of the field wide open. He did that a bunch last year and it hurt ole miss significantly
Not sure how you could say significantly lol. Our two losses were Georgia and Bama in which we weren’t going to win those games last year! This year whole other ballgame! We didn’t have the dudes needed to win the georgia game in particular last year. The Bama performance for us was just sloppy bad game

@@TonyWedgeworth the difference is pros are pros meaning it’s their job. Plus people teams have structure in place and veteran players to mentor young players. In college athletics that’s not the case. These players are young and rich, meaning they ain’t even developed as humans yet. Now things may work out who knows. But I just don’t see it.
