  • Josh Pate (‪@LateKickwithJoshPate‬) joins the show to discuss his most recent storm chasing adventures, the crispy vs. limp bacon debate, and what counts as "watching a tornado." Of course, we did fit in some time to talk college football and his thoughts on the current happenings.

Lane Kiffin inherited a program that was light years away from competing with the best teams. He has built Ole Miss brick by brick to be what it is today. Lane Kiffin teams could always score. The issue has been defense at Ole Miss. Will Ole Miss have a Georgia or Alabama defense in 2024? No. Will Ole Miss have the best defense Kiffin has had in his five years at Ole Miss? That is highly likely. Will the 2025 defense be better than the 2024 defense? There is every reason to believe it will be. Will Ole Miss be able to attract more four and five-star high school players as the program continues to improve year after year? That makes sense. Rome wasn't built in a day. Kirby Smart inherited a better program than Lane Kiffin did at Ole Miss. It is nonsense to suggest Ole Miss is going to be a flash in the pan in 2024. It is the next step -- not the last step.

Lane has the safest job in the SEC. Even if he’s winless this year, they would give him another year.

So its only manly to have a bloody steak and bacon burned to the crisp...got it. I'll take both medium rare

Yea medium rare is the superior way to cook steak. When it comes to bacon I don't want it floppy and I don't want it crispy lol

Government weather modification is pretty standard knowledge. Quatar just received a year's worth of rain in a week. They mess around with the weather all the time.

Wait, so are you really sitting here and saying that the government can control and manipulate the weather?

@doc8013 it's true. We developed it and used it in the Vietnam War. WHY do you think it rained for months on end. We were trying to flood them out of their tunnels and bunkers among other things. All that paper work was released a few years ago under the freedom of information act. Also. The government has come out and said they Chem trail to create a layer of clouds to protect from green house gases. Not to be confused with con trails. Those evaporate. Chem trails fall and turn into thin clouds. You people have an amazing ability to not want the truth. You run from it. Why?

Its no longer a wondow team .. look at the HS recruiting level going up . The wins and the "party in the sip" mentality mixed with constant media attention from portal have made Ole Miss a destination school.
2025 will be just as talented if not more so only slightly younger inplacea and a first year QB

If not now then when? Rebuilding a whole new team every year isn’t sustainable. Until they start signing top 10 high classes consistently I don’t see how they can be a consistent contender. Bringing in 1 year mercenaries isn’t sustainable. If they don’t make the playoffs this year and then lose their qb and several receivers and several d linemen to the nfl they gotta go out and go nuts in the portal again. Their high school recruiting isn’t good enough to build a program. They are building a good team for this year though.

It was built heavily with portal but they are transitioning into more HS as the profile for Ole Miss is much greater and they have been winning those battles for national high 4 star and some 5 stars

@@UnrivaledGHout of 16 sec teams they finished 12th in the 2024 class. Their 25 class is currently in 11th out of 16 teams. The only teams they are beating in high school recruiting is vandy, Mississippi State, Arkansas and Kentucky. Even South Carolina is doing a better job at high school recruiting.
