Insane core strength & Flexibility from Chen on that backtake. I wonder what Taza shouldve done to stop it, maybe followed the momentum by forward rolling while still blocking the far-side hip? Interesting sequence
Good match but Chen dominated. Taza was slippery and escaped a lot but Chen consistently was on the offense and securing better position
And imagine. Were it not for that escape/back-take, there would have been no scoring whatsoever, despite Chen dominating the match. JJ scoring needs to be overhauled.
Thats why ref decision is a thing and it is based off of who is the clear aggressor so even if it went to decision Chen would've won.
Points for the body triangle need to become a thing

Passing Tommy’s guard multiple time was more impressive than this match imo
He caught Tommy off guard with some new shit, he is not levels ahead of Tommy, guarantee you Tommy has already thoroughly studied the match and Jozef's passing and improved his guard retention, next time they run into each other it will be very competitive.

Josef is a really good player at the game of it using all the new technical battles and old school ok reliable moves. Very basic with a hint of excitement due to his flexibility and his athleticism. He’s gonna be around for a while

As far as the match goes, Taza should just find a new profession. How long has he been training and under Danaher no less? He never wins anything big and he just got destroyed by someone much newer to the scene. Give it up Taza, your game isn't getting better, I would go learn a trade or something or maybe open your own gym and become an instructor, you just aren't good enough to be in the elite group.

After attending your seminar and buying your instructional, I can say without any doubt that your jiujitsu is better than Chen's. Also, your performance at the Europeans, Panams, and World's was better than any other athlete in the sport.
