- Very noisy bass. Does not make this noise in other locations, such as the place I bought it from. Problem ended up being the amp, which I exchanged at Guitar Store Who Shall Not Be Named.

Glad you got it sorted. I was going to suggest checking the cable and the amp since there was no real obvious issues with the wiring in the bass.
Florescent lighting
Nope, hate the stuff. It was the amp.
This exact thing is happening to me now. New Rumble 40 and new Squire Mustang Bass. I took the guitar to the store and tried connecting to one of their Ampeg 30 W amps and the guitar did NOT produce any loud hum whatsoever. Even with the bass amp cranked & NOT touching the strings, the amp only made very little hissing sound which is normal. This Rumble 40 is going to get returned
In my case the problem was the amp, and I got a new one, and it's fine.
@@jasmine2501 I saw that your issue was the amp and I’m hoping that this is all that is as well. I also just saw a video showing the amp x ground loop hum eliminator for around $80.00. I think I’m going to take my amp along with guitar to the store & if it makes the same noise it’s the amp and if not, it’s my home wiring I suppose
@@paulv8453 any mass produced product can have bad ones get out the door. You'll probably be fine with a new one. I upgraded to the 100, the 40 wasn't loud enough.
I'm guessing you just got to replace the pickups and/or the pots, and yes, you're gonna want to shield it too. That's what I did with a couple of my basses.
Turns out it was a bad amp. Took it back to chain store and got a Rumble 100, it sounds much better. One of the pickups still has a little noise but it's the normal amount that I would expect from a single coil.
once it does that get a new one its gonna start giving problems the jack is loose and proabably ripped its the black wire i believe it has two cables inside one just seperate them and resolder and tighten the jack but its gonna give you problems after that
It was new. I took it back and got a better one. The store agreed it was messed up. The amp, not the bass. I still have that.
@@jasmine2501 yeah mine is making every amp i plug it in fart for some reason
@@erosmontesinos9646 obviously that's gonna probably be some issue with the bass itself. Often it's just a bad jack. That's the most common damage on guitars because you use it a lot.
I was gonna say that it can be the wiring in your house.
I’m having the same type issue with my 200 except when the bass is turned up all the way.
I never have this issue after I got the new amp. But it is a low quality bass.
Are the bass pickups bad or is it just the amp?
the pickups and pre-amp are not so good, but it was mostly the amp making that noise.
Yes, I'm grounded in problems that you're house with your electric. That's where the homes come in from. Get your power conditioner, put your base amp in do it. You wanna have that anymore
Oh wow
Those fender rumble amps are usually pretty solid
Crazy haha
The replacement one has worked fine for a while now. Any mass produced product can have defective units sent out.
