Benedict Mathurin grew up in a poor part of Montreal, Canada but what happened to his family is heartbreaking. The awesome part of his story is how someone helped save his life as a child. Now Benn is shocking the NBA by challenging number 1 pick Paolo Banchero for Rookie of the Year.

The Lonnie walker video was the best thing I saw on this channel. It was deep on him but showcased his talent. Same here with Mathis. I saw a couple videos from other channels on him being a steal in the draft but knowing his background now makes cheer for him more. This is definitely my first choice in nba videos now.

This is my favorite video you've ever made! I'm a self-aware Pacers fanatic and it's nice to see them get a little bit of credit for nailing their rebuild. Even if they trade Turner rather than re-sign him, his value is the highest it's ever been. Mathurin and Haliburton are super exciting and more importantly - FUN TO WATCH! The last couple of years watching us lose close games and shooting terribly from 3, now we are chucking up crazy shots, super fast-paced, and highlight plays every single game. Rampage over 😂

The most impressive thing to me about the Pacers is as young as they are, they close out games like vets.

Mathurin has the mindset players need. To us normal people, stating someone like LeBron needs to prove they’re better than you seems insane, but to be in the NBA that’s the mindset you need. Can’t be scared of opposition. When I read that statement it put him on my list of players to watch. He’s got a bright future ahead of him.

Great video, Casey. When I saw the Knicks draft position this past year, I was hopeful because I thought they might have a shot at Mathurin. I was convinced after seeing even a small sample from him that he was going to be elite. Once again, the Pacers fuck things up for me as a Knicks fan like they've been doing since Rick Smits was automatic from the elbow.
