Crazy we should’ve been 9-3 with an abysmal offense
Last season Thorne never saw the blitz coming off the edge. Did he not have the freedom to slide someone over or change the play? If so then wtf were the coaches doing all last season? That problem was never solved last year and it drove me crazy. I want to know what the offensive and defensive coaches were doing during the season last year. I saw the same mistakes being made over and over on defense last season and no attempt to correct it at all. Like an LB not hitting the run gap on a 3rd or 4th and short. I hope they fix these things this year.

My only issue with pt is going through progressions and terrible interceptions freshman make... he's a senior
He always seemed to not see the open receivers last year.

I will not be buying into the Payton Thorne propaganda. I do think he will be better yes but even if he is a 1000 yards better he would still rank around 49th in the fbs he was 97th last year. He has gotten worse every year he played. He has decent straight line speed but is horrendous in the pocket. He makes unbelievably bad decisions. With all that being said I’m not mad if he is starting but I think it’s a failure on the coaching staff not to bring in another portal qb to compete. There was Dante Moore Malachi Nelson and Jayden Rashada all former 5 star qbs. I understand it’s not a slam dunk they would be good but it’s more than likely and at least competition. But I’m tired of hearing it was every besides him scheme included. We was able to run the ball on anyone and the wrs we brung in the portal last you a lot of people wanted at what point are we going to come to the conclusion he is not good.

That's an interesting question. I hadn't thought about it, but it may very well be. I'm expecting a big year from AU in 2024. I'm thinking we are gonna surprise a lot of people... Why isn’t anyone talking about Lambert-Smith? I believe he’s the best receiver on the roster this season. Coleman/Thompson/Simmons/Cain are all freshman. Coleman is a beast but lacking experience. With Coleman, Lewis, Fairweather and Lambert-Smith on the field at the same time makes bracketing pretty much impossible. Should be plenty of 70/30 balls. A lot of wide open guys. The depth could be just as potent depending on how Cain, Simmons, Thompson progress. PT shuts erbody wrong and I can’t wait to be sitting in the recliner talkin trash and going on the “I told you so” tour 😂
