  • You’ll love these crisp apple fritters covered in glaze and chock full of apples. They’re an easy to make, basically foolproof treat you can whip up in a snap! It’s SO much easier to make than a donut since there’s no yeast, no rising, no waiting. Just mix it up, fry away, and enjoy!
    Full Recipe: preppykitchen.com/apple-fritt...
    My fritters have a touch of lemon inside and in the glaze to wake the flavors up but you can also roll in cinnamon sugar if that’s your jam.

    I’m here because after buying a package of apple fritters from Sam’s Club that had absolutely NO apple chunks (yes, I tore them apart looking for some after realizing it), I decided I’m going to have to make them myself. I subscribed because I, too, like the way you get right to it. I’m excited to spend all day watching your other videos. LOL

    Hi John, I just discovered your channel tonight. I really like how you explain about the ingredients, you don’t hurry along, which makes it easy to follow, at least for me. Being that your mother is from Mexico, I’m sure she has taught you how to cook delicious recipes. My mother was from Mexico too, and she was a wonderful cook, she had soo much passion for cooking. I use to ask her why her food was always soo flavorful and delicious? She said because she cooked with love. Thank you for sharing your love for cooking, it shows, and I can’t wait to make these. Cheers!

    My kids and I have really been missing our Sunday trips to the donut shop before or after church. And this recipe was so simple and delicious. I didn’t have nutmeg, but I had cinnamon, and I only had one apple, but we make due with what we have. Still came out fluffy and delicious!!

    I made this recipe for breakfast today and they taste amazing! I do not have a Dutch oven pot, so I used a frying pan. My fritters did not turn out round and plump like his, but were still extremely tasty. I did not use water in my glaze. Instead I used milk, vanilla, and lemon juice. The added vanilla gave it that extra something that made these so much better 🥰.

  • @godblessypu4596
    @godblessypu4596 Před 4 lety +4

    Thanks John! I like how in your recipe you have more Apple than better. When you go to a coffee shop and you order as you know they dip it in the sugar glaze as well there's too much sugar in the batter and is way more better than there is Apple. Sometimes there's hardly any Apple. I can't have gluten very often so yeah maybe every now and then would be nice but I think this recipe I could definitely do and I'll just treat the sugar that works for me. I always yep on your videos I always like the bite in the end I like to see your expression we eat and I'm going up that recipe is for us! My husband watches you too. I also love fresh ground nutmeg. One of the reasons it is better (beyond the freshness aspect) is that the outer shell of the nutmeg "nut" is actually the spice mace and the inner part is the actual nutmeg. Double spice from your nutmeg nut for a fantastic flavor! :)

    I just made these and they were flawless and delicious! I always change up recipes tweaking this and that, but this recipe is perfect as is! My only advice for a novice is to not make them too big, spread it out because a couple of mine turned out looking like Chinese chicken balls and it took a while to cook the centre. Give it at least 2-3 minutes per side to make sure the inside gets perfectly cooked with oil that’s not too hot as to burn the outside.
