Emmy with space buns? 10times cuter!!!đ„°
I agreeđđ

I work at an amusement park, frying funnel cakes. This video is rad, and a heck-ton healthier. I'll have to try this out sometime! Thanks, Auntie Em :)
I'd think you'd be sick of funnel cake lol
Great America
@@msjkramey Oh, I never eat the stuff I make. But Em's version looks downright tasty! The oil looks a lot cleaner, too đ
Auntie Em!! Love it! đ
Why do you say this version looks healthier I'm curious
I bet funnel cake fries would be amazing dipped in spiced applebutter. đ
i've never heard of applebutter. that sounds unbelievably amazing
@@xrispi You should definitely try it if you get a chance! :) It's much thicker and darker than applesauce, and much more flavorful. It gets cooked so long that it reduces down to become super concentrated. It's amazing on toast or pancakes, and I've even put it on my grilled cheeze sandwiches before and loved the results. :)
@@Behold_I_am_Egg yum!
There was a poutine restaurant in my old town that made these topped them with peanut butter sauce, hot fudge, and chopped Reeseâs cups and Reeseâs pieces. Literally to die for!
Yummmmm
Oh my Lord! I would melt in happiness lol! Thanks for thatđđ„đ«
đ€€ đ
@@laurametheny1008 It was one of my favorite places to eat for lunch just so I could try their weekly special poutine and then that dessert!
@@kaleighcarpenter6181 Sounds so good. I've never had poutine. My grandson and I are peanut butter freaks. And chocolate. I love Peanut butter M&Ms too. And peanut butter silk pie. All the stuff I don't need dammit! And cheese too. There's cheese in the poutine right? I would just put my face in it haha! Have a great weekend and stay safeđ€Łđ
We found out that the pizza place near us makes fried dough fries, which sounds like it might actually made from pizza dough?? Not entirely sure but they looked just like this and tasted so good!! So now im curious to try this with your recipe and with extra pizza dough and see how they both taste! I also like how you can end up making a more reasonable amount this way; a whole funnel cake is sometimes a bit much to eat in one sitting.
Little different she didn't use yest also this almost same as pancake
Pancake or waffle batter works best
I love funnel cakes they are so yummy!!! I will have to make some. Thank you Emmy!!!
If you make extra and wanna reheat put them in the air fryer it turns out perfect
Definitely going to give this a try. Thank you!
I'd use golden corn syrup because of memories of my mom.
I love these and now want to make them. Love your hair and the cool recipes. You are fab!
I made strawberry freezer jam for the first time last month.
I canât believe Iâve been watching you for over 3 years now!! Your videos are always so entertaining. We love you Emmy!!!!
Hi Emmy! Thanks for the video!
I make funnel cakes for my kid but just use some slightly thickened pancake batter. Quick and easy, but special!
Yours look amazing Emmy!!!
Iâm definitely going to try making these, they look delicious
I cannot wait to snuggle up an watch an Emmy cooking vidđđ€ funnel fries seems like a very smart idea XD ooo an dip it in strawberry/chocolate sauceđđ
I love funnel cake, its my guilty pleasure once or twice a year when we go to a fair or similar. YUM!
Looks so yummy!
Yummy! I'd forgotten the freezer jam! No one but me used to love strawberries but now my granddaughter is a kindred spirit! Yay she can even drive to get us some. Love the funnel cake fry idea. I sure wish I could go to fairs again. Or at least one. Can't walk around like that anymore thođ say could we also make blueberry and other fruit freezer jam? Kinda thought yes, but wanted to be sure. Thanks Emmy! Have a lovely safe weekendđđđ
I love your hair up like this. So cute!
Delicious snack!
A Bloop Of Vanilla... Omg I love it đ„°đ„°đ„°
I made strawberry freezer jam for the first time last year after seeing your video about it and now I'll never look back! You're absolutely right that it has a much nicer fresh strawberry flavor than other jams. It's become my favorite go-to jam for anything! Naturally I had to make another batch when strawberry season rolled around this year đ
We, my family, đs Funnel Cake and even made some once. My favorite way to way them is just with powered sugar. Maybe we'll try your recipe at our next get-together.
Dip an Oreo in the batter and fry. Yum
This looks good! I'ma try it!
Emmy!!!! Ur hair is BEYOND CUUUTTEE!!!!! đđ„°đ€© Ur just so beautiful and genuine n it's so effortless n pure I love the person you are đđ€âš ur one of a kind!!
You know when she dances, itâs just that good.
Now I want to try those
Your hair is so cute! Omg â€
I need this in my life. My fair is coming to town soon
I adore your hair in this video. It's super cute đ
I need this recipe asap yummy đ
So is a bunkbed a double helix? đ§Ź
Right on time yaaaay. Last video before bed â€ïž
Yum!
Looks yummy especially that strawberry jam
loveee the hair
My daughter makes these for my mom and I..we use strawberry, chocolate, and caramel sauce to dip them in..sooo goood đ
#LoveYouEm đ
This makes me want fry bread with jelly and butterâșïžâșïž
Mmm. Fry bread.đ
I need these in my life and in my mouth. đ€€
The town where I live in Wyoming has a little coffee hut that makes these. We door dash them to work every now and then. So good!
It looks similar to what we do in South Tyrol/Italy. We make batter and form a really big spiral in the frying oil (from the center to the outside). It's called Strauben and we eat it with jam!
It's all MINE!
It really looks delicious đ and actually do-able!
đȘ
Sounds like an awesome idea. Also, you look so pretty today.đ
âTheyâre all for ME! MEEEE!â
*walks off camera to share with the kiddos.*
I love her spirit đ„°
Why would she give them to her kids after she said she was going to eat them all?
đŻ
I love my funnel cake with chocolate syrup, whip cream, and powdered sugar. I need to try it with strawberry or cherry jam, mmm!
Yum
Yum.
As a non-American- Iâve HEARD of funnel cakes- always wondered what the hell they are?!- I always imagined some fried tube shaped pancake-y thing? Filled with a sweet filling of some sort?!đ§đ€·đ»ââïž apparently not!?
They are actually called funnel cakes because the batter is typically dispensed through a funnel so that you get this sort of tangled pile of dough that is more of a spiderweb type shape and then typically you dust it with powdered sugar some fairs offer fruit on top but the traditional funnel cake is just powdered sugar
I love this because I like funnel cake but only in very small quantities, so I always end up sharing with someone else or else I get one for myself and wind up with half a funnel cake left even after trying to share it. The fries version would be perfect, I could have just the number that I'm going to eat!
I donât have that squeezing contraption but Iâll try frying it with a piping bag!
Our bowling alley does these with either chocolate or raspberry sauce for dipping.
I make these as summer treats for my kids. My favorite topping is plain ol powdered sugar but they're also pretty dang ahhhmazing with ice cream, or strawberry preserves â€ïž
Adding just a dash of cinnamon into the dry mixture makes them next level...soooo good đ
Edit to add: I find the fry type easiest if you make a sort of curly fry type. Not sure why but it helps with the splitting.
Lastly, if you make too many they freeze really well. Just store between 2 sheets of parchment and put it into a freezer bag.
Definitely made with cinnamon. Even better, sprinkled with cinnamon/sugar mixture. But I can't imagine having to store any. Not happening at my house. Lol đ€Łđ
Here we go!!!
I feel like Funnel cake fries is a way to short u out of the rest of the funnel cake. I went to a fair a few years ago and every booth only had "fries" that cost more and gave u less than what a traditional funnel cake would have cost and given u
Homemade Fair Foodsđđđ
I love the idea of funnel stick fries. I'm surprised some state fair hasn't tried this yet. They're all MINE!
đȘ
Thereâs a fair in Cranston this weekend!
Emmy I just have to say you are adorable, inside and out!
Love your videos. You so adorable
Here in Brazil we got the "bolinho de chuva" (you can translate to "rain scone"), best served hot and covered with sugar and cinnamon
The dough takes a rain drop shape when it hits the hot oil, thus the name
More fruity fruits please!
Veggie veg???
I love funnel cakes so much. I've used kits with mixes to make them at home, but this looks so much better. I'll need to try this soon!
Theyâre super popular in Louisiana. I have em all the time. I prefer them over the big funnel cake
Ooooh with a scoop of ice cream!!!
My mom loved funnel cake so she would have definitely loved the fries if she was still with us!
The Dollar Tree sells a Funnel Cake box mix that might be easier and cheaper for some people.
I used to make funnel cakes at home. Then I got tired of screwing up the shape & switched to just stripes. Imagine my surprise when this took off a few years later. Minds really think alike.
I think I'll go back to making some again. Only this time I'll make some dips for it too.
I would wish you come to the Big E in West Springfield MA this year!
Hi Emmy, can you please try the Korean sticky pastry, Yakgwa?
I'm Pennsylvania Dutch. That's so awesome you're using a P.D. recipe.
â€ïž
I'm trying to find your freezer jam recipe, and didn't see it in the description, or a link. Could you please tell me where I can find it?
Thank you!
đ„°
Roll kuchen. German pastry. Reminds me of dippable pancakes.
Thanks for amazing content in these dark times!! Your a beacon of hope!
It's all MINE! I love funnel cakes but, they are so full of calories. I don't know why I never thought of doing this.
đȘ
Love your vids:)) itâs all MINE :))
Where we live, funnel cakes are called Indian fry bread.
The freezer jam is the best! I won't eat cooked jellies or preserves after making the freezer jam. It is just like fresh strawberry sauce.
I fully expected a savoury version of funnel cake dough, made out of pureed potatoes, fried just like you did here, and served with some savoury dips đđ€Šââïž
Me toooo
Soooo...
Fries?
Love this hairstyle on you
**~Oh! What a relief it is đ
I bet these are great dipped in coffee, especially a Cuban coffee.
âItâs all MINE.â :P
đȘ
Love you emmy. My favorite fair food is deep fried bacon wrapped peanut butter cups.
I think you should try making peanut butter and jelly chicken strips!!!!!
The earliest I have found is a Seal fat. Fry bred.
Intuit. And a bear fat fry bred.
The grain would be mixed grain flower. With corn being used as a grain.. just like rice. Or seed meal. Frying in a pan is the same as a covered pot or oven as we bohemian use.
The clay roaster or stone hearth were later..
A ball of meal and water. On a hearth stone and cover with a pot. .. they all look like a pancake or ball. Some of the old breads have the round look still today vs 50,000 years ago...
I feel the frying method was first. As the Doe flower was placed on a rock to dry or rise.. then fried.. bear, seal, pig, cow and bison fat were available. In every tribe for over 50,000 years.
You should try making Koeksisters from South Africa. It's a delicious spiced doughnut fantastic with a cup of coffee â đ
EMMY! Please make zeppole! It's basically this but round and dipped in chocolate. An Italian classic!
I made them a couple of years ago:czcams.com/video/AIOkHVPTWoI/video.html.
I love your hair today
When I worked in an amusement park eons ago, our funnel cakes used pancake mix. Also, do you know your chapter tags are bacon related????
Holy shoot this is the earliest Iâve been
State and County fair food is awesome but I am craving a dish I had in a restaurant called "Tratario Boraga" in San Destin Flight when I lived there in my 20's. It's Polenta with Corn Salsa. It's in season and I'm hoping someone could try it and teach me how to do it. Your amazing and I hope you have some insight to the dishđ€
More fun fair food after the delightful lemonade and hot dog video. Makes sense.
Do you suppose I could use self rising flour instead?
What kind of bed frame do you have
You are correct about the Pennsylvania Dutch. They were actually German, but the English speakers misheard âDeutschâ as âDutchâ.
Iâm thinking about doing this over the weekend, but substituting gluten-free flour and oat milk. I hope it comes out as well as yours.
The origin of the recipe is interesting; you're correct that the Pennsylvania Dutch settled from Germany. On my maternal side my ancestors were "Pennsylvania Dutch".
We used to sell these at Burger King. One of my favorite things there, actually lol. They were super good.
Mixing the batter thinner. Using a freezer bag to pipe the mix ..use your fingers to pinch the opining to stop the mix. Will help with clean up.
And that is a good batter for chicken. Make a raspberry sauce and..
Cool vid. Thanks..
I wonder if they split because they weren't completely submerged? Maybe air getting to the wet batter caused it?
I literally would travel to cedar point just to get these đ
