One thing I'd like to add about why I love Elementalist so much is the 60% AOE for both the explosion and the Ignite Proliferation! (mb if I missed it in the video)

I went ele and I regret it so much.... Everyone says this is so easy to league start when it's the worst league start of my life.... Every league for past 11 years I was able to hit red maps almost straight out of campain if I was LVL 72+ and had third lab.... I can't even farm white maps I'm so squish and damage is so horrible

I cleared searing exarch and t16 maps with only a 4link of EA Ballista Ignite prolif Faster Attacks and only recently upgraded to a 6 link for my mapping setup after I got some currency. Followed Palsteron's guide with some variations and he did me great
So this is a bit late and likely people wont see this. However, its really important to note regarding the Champion hit chance. The Champion has an an ascendancy node that gives taunted enemies can not evade your hits. It also has 100% chance to taunt on hit. So when placing totems you are constantly taunting and thus do not need much hit chance except your first hit. And then you just taunt non stop.

You can crank the dps numbers upto 35m by adding timeless jewel, impossible escape and cluster jewels (8,4,4). Also consider using devouring diadem as it helps you use eldritch battery - this means you can replace lifetap with another awakened gem - awakened ele damage with hits. In addition it gives 25% reservation efficiency so helps adding in another aura (malevolence). As a final note, you can get the ignite prolif as an eldritch implicit on glove thereby freeing up another gem slot for damage.

Zizz's build switches off IP when you get the implicit on gloves. It really opens up the build to more Ignite damage and the scaling multiplier after that makes the build feel much better than the other two on a far lower investment imo. Also, he has since switched to champion.

I just started Ziz EA Champ in standard. I wanted a build to finish off the end game bosses. I was also looking at Palsteron's build. But I had an extra Slayer I could convert over easily enough in standard so that is why I went that route.

The big thing about EA is that you really don't give a shit about the explosion. You need to focus on your damage per ignite number more.

So, one part was a little short for me. I know it was just a comparison... but i wanted to know, what the best gemsetup in terms of single target is? For Elementalist.

Explosive arrow is not my thing but its extremely informative, I am learning so much more from each video then I have ever done with any build guides. Learning how to read PoB, compare PoB, its just super helpful.

G3, regarding your accuracy discussion at about 15:45 have you considered the fact that SuperSecretTech uses forbidden flesh/flame to allocate Worthy Foe, which makes monsters taunted by you unable to evade attacks?
Yes! It's something that we chatted about in another comment here. It was a mistake on my part (and potentially the build guide creator) not to tick "enemies are taunted" in the PoB configuration. I think using a few passive points shows alternatives to having those jewels to reach 90% + accuracy if you don't have the jewels. I should have clarified that further. Good eye seeing this and thanks for your comment!
I donât know if ziz had the video out on how to craft a min all the way to max the bow when you made this. But to the people reading the comments he has a way to craft bows check it out if ya need
You kept saying flat added damage bricks dps because of ele equilibrium. But you can have flat cold or lightning damage which would do wonders because it will expose mobs to fire .as long as itâs not flat fire damage.
I played elementalist during archnemesis and playing champion on HC this league.
I personally prefer champion, WAY tankier but if you like damage, go with elementalist.

I think super secret tech tries to be too balanced and in the end fails to get higher damage than the juggernaut but also is less tanky than the juggernaut. So basically if u want fast clearspeed and big dam go elementalist and if don't mind going slower and hate dying then go juggernaut as its the most balanced AND defensive.

Kind of strange he left his suppression at 99%...
Sure, there's very real benefit to 100%, especially on HC.
If you're not really bossing then it doesn't really matter.. 99% is a huge help defensively.
But PoB basically doesn't care about piddly 99% suppression. Sure, you get some credit for your ehp with it, but it's like, nah, there's a 1% chance the slam isn't suppressed so your max hit doesn't mean anything!
How much higher do all those max hit numbers on the champion build go if it just got 1% more suppression from somewhere? (it might even have it somewhere as conditional, I dunno). So all those numbers, while technically true, are basically de facto deflated because they'll all go up waaaay more as soon as 1% suppression is gotten from somewhere.
I love the concept of these videos as I often find myself comparing different versions of builds looking for optimizations in my own characters. However this video felt a little too unfair towards the Champion variant. I understand that all PoB's must be taken as they are presented and it must be accepted that it will lead to mostly minor discrepancies between configurations, but it is somewhat common knowledge for most Champions, and especially the Champion variant of EA makes use of "Worthy Foe" from the Champion Ascendancy to solve Accuracy (Hit Chance) for the build. In the PoB of the champion variant however, the champion only has 3 Ascendacny points allocated, missing Worthy Foe. It is also clear the intention is to have Worthy Foe as in the "Kalandra" version of the character, they ran a Forbidden Flesh and Flame setup to allocate Worthy Foe for them.
While I agree, changes should not be made to the PoBs, this mistake in the PoB seems far to big to ignore as having less than 100% hit rate will completely neuter the displayed DPS and make all dps comparisons of the Champion variant irrelevant.
This would also require ticking the Has been Taunted checkbox in the configuration.
This is part of the downside of comparing multiple POBs from multiple different build creators. There is no "standard" as of yet for normalizing calculations for POBs, so rather than make too many changes, I've tried to make an effort to display the POBs in the video discussion as the build creators have released them. In some way, this is a discussion I'm glad to be a part of, because hopefully we as a community of POE players can begin to normalize all our POBs to be on truly the same ground when making comparisons. If build guide creators do normalize their configurations it would make comparing guides vastly easier.
A quick couple of ticks in POB according to your suggestions (taunted + goal gear + using the Kalandra build tree) and the damage goes from 5.2 mil DPS as shown in the video, to 6.1 mil DPS. A significant change to be sure.

My major qualm and what prompted my comment more so than other is that within the video you recognised the hit chance as being incredible low and as a seasoned player, you yourself, knew there was an error somewhere. Hence why you went on to increase the accuracy from 68% to 91%.
I'm not familiar with the creator of the Champion variant however after quickly reading through their forum build guide they do mention Worthy Foe in the ascendancy order and mention the Forbidden jewels.
Using the Goal Gear + Kalandra Tree + Ticking Taunt + Removing 20% delirious effect + Setting to Guardian DPS + Setting 20 fuses = Gives me a Full DPS of 6.7M bringing the Champion Variant, rightfully, above the Juggernaut in DPS.
The only reason I'm maybe catching these mistakes is I myself am playing Palsteron's variant and already compared many variants of this build type only a matter of weeks ago :P Another reason why I love for your content and this type of video to become more common place as it would save myself, and many others, the effort and make decisions much easier.
I love the idea of build comparisons and can't stress enough how much I enjoy this type of content and wish there was more of it in the PoE scene. I do not want this to come off as insulting or anything of the sort!

Don't have much of an interest in EA this league, but maybe next league, assuming all the tech in the video remains relevant for it. Loved the video I like this format, but it looks super tough to create, great job!
Thanks for your comment Josh! I doubt (just based on numbers) that the build will receive a big hit in terms of nerfs. It's solidly strong, but not over the top OP. Should still be a strong option for next league.

If you're like me and got 15% fire exposure as your fourth sanctum relic... and nothing else at all synergistic with the build before or after, sure. =P

My pronunciation of all things is awful haha. The number of times I got tongue tied saying "super secret tech" and "pal-st-er-on" was....too high.
Played zizs champ and the elementalist. Got to say the elementalist is more tank with faster clear on the exact same gear did add more life to the elementalist but only a few nodes still have 30m dps and had about 4 on the champ

I did ele EA because everyone said damage was insane compared to other options.... I wanted to go chieftain. But yeah.... Not only is my damage horrible but if mobs so much as sneeze in white and early yellow maps I die.... Worst league start I've ever had in 11 years
Sorry to hear that mate. Please realize that this video and the comparison was done for the 3.20 patch cycle, and not the current patch. That will make a wild amount of difference as Path of Exile builds fluctuate heavily depending on patch changes. Cheers.
