- Britannia Hotel Bournemouth. One migrant appears out of nowhere making threats. Police are called ( by me ) and they seem to think filming in public is against people's human rights to privacy. Therefore the behaviour of this guy is justified. Even though I wasn't filming him.

For the last decade+ you've needed a degree to become a police officer. Do you think people with STEM degrees are the ones that ended up joining the police for £32,000 a year? Nope. It's the weirdos that did gender studies, art, history, music, etc, and found out they couldn't get a decent job, but realised they can make decent money as a police officer, with a lot of power, gold plated pension and sparse accountability.
Police need to remember who pays their wages and that they Police by consent.
Imagine this in reverse. You're being put up at tax payer expense in Pakistan, Afghanistan, Iran, Iraq, (fill in as applicable). Suddenly the locals appear and you start dishing out orders on their patch, telling them what they can and can't do.

I lived in Bournemouth a magical place of residence and friendship , in the end I had to move away for what I saw and experienced was a sign of our future .
I remember the Britannia hotel well , I would meet up with friends and family in a relaxed environment, what is happening to our society that our government is not responsible or accountable.

And doesn’t listen. He said repeatedly you filmed that guy and he didn’t like it so asked you to stop even after you told them you hadn’t filmed him at all until after he kicked off and threatened you. It’s fine for him and the staff to film you but not the other way around.
There is also a difference between filming a hotel from outside and sticking a camera in people’s faces while they are having a private conversation and that PC must know this. After all if the police want to talk to each other in public they walk away, get into a vehicle or the like to make their own privacy so you can increase your own privacy in public.

The police have their own surveillance units, they rely heavily on cctv material and appeal for public to provide video footage after an incident but they are telling you not to film in public.

Next time it may not be stones as his weapon of choice. I had to comment as pc 2984 frustrated me to point it boiled my blood, bell end came to mind for so many reasons.
That police driver needs to stand in front of an Inspector and be asked to repeat what he has said to a member of the public. He then needs to be educated and given a warning for providing the public with false information on the law.
