That choke job was one of the most unbelievably believable things.
After we won game 6 I believed we could win lol
which one?
@@alexvaillant7351 yeah, after KK won you game6 😉
Can't wait for the next podcast... Screwed up my weeks without them lol
Me too....
Legitimately feel likes my weeks are missing something. This sucks lmao
Losing Hyman stings almost as bad as this year's playoff choke
:(
Aaaaaaaaaaaaaand they lost Hyman for nothing. 😖
Just putting it out there, equating winning the Stanley cup with a different team to winning a silver medal is something exactly zero Stanley cup winning hockey players will ever do
Steve is a lunatic...does he look down at his newborn and think, this is great and all...imagine if it had worked with helen in high school how much better this would be.
@@garygantz1053 So I'm all for sharing opinions and criticizing Steve for what he said...but do you really have to bring his kid into it? I'm pretty sure you can find a thousand different ways to call him out for what he said without questioning how he is as a parent. It's only a podcast man, why you heff to be mad?
What now??? You keep signing players to team friendly hometown discount of 7 years 11 million per year!!! Book it!!!
'We can, and we will' but you really shouldn't have..
Watching this was like opening up a scar that was just about to heal
I’m a Sens fan and I find these guys amazing. I’m can’t wait for the next podcast.
Toronto fans during the season annoy the hell out of me with their smugness that according to them my team (Montreal) sucks. The off-season however always makes up for it 😀
If they cared about a ring they would have left some dough on the table for better teammates like Syd did
Great point. It’s like a boxer that has one punch. Negate that punch and you win. Matthews Marner were completely negated non factors
@@NelsonA_ leafs won the same amount of playoffs series as the Habs :)
It makes me so happy, I feel kinda bad
When ever I’m down and out I think of leaf fans ….. my day always gets better 🍺
Steve comparing winning the Stanley Cup without the leafs to a silver medal is just ridiculous. I get it but come on man, really?
I find the "silver medal" conversation interesting. I wonder how Pat Maroon feels about winning first with his home team then with the lightning. I know Steve didnt literally mean that it feels like coming second place but Maroon seemed pretty happy winning in Tampa
As a Ducks fan he was the only one I was happy to see win in TB, rest of the team can FOH. St Louis I was bumping Gloria like everyone else outside Boston.
@@charlesblack9959 absolutely brother, Gloria is an absolute banger
I don't think it's so much the hometown aspect of it as it is getting to be a part of history. Think about it, none of today's players got to see the Leafs ever win a Cup, so if you grew up cheering for them and then get to be part of the team that ends the drought, that'd be pretty damn special wouldn't it?
"I'm gonna be inconsolable if they lose Hyman for nothing" that aged well lmao
This is great please upload this video once a month!! #3-1
Headed for a much more expensive version of the Minnesota Wild…. Good enough to make the playoffs but not special enough to get past a round or two. (And now that I have said that, they will become magical this season, and honestly as a fan of a rival, I hope they prove me wrong, rivalry’s are only fun when theirs joy and pain on both sides.)
As a habs fan this is hilarious
Lol, this is normal for us Leafs fans. Were used to the humiliation, but we are not used to Marner being a 10 mill player.
That's what they did: NOTHING and the result was the same. And Robertson did not make the team...
I’ve went back to Steve’s game four video, under which is a comment left by me that is essentially pleading with the leafs not to blow it. At that point they were up 3-1 and I was full of dread, what other fanbase has this feeling when they are in a great position in a series?
Other than the Chicago Cubs pre 2016 I can't think of one
@@brianreilly7139 fair, but it’s a sinking feeling in every game for us lol, at least the Cubs got a ring
@@User-12133 no lie i woke up the morning after game 4 having dreamed they blew it. It sucked
@@brianreilly7139 lol, hopefully the leafs can break through, but damn they make it hard to believe in them
that run was so amazing.. gonna remember it all my life! - habs fan.
Same here!
As hometown guys and fans of this team, there’s no excuse for the greed of some players (mainly Marner). The point was well made in this clip. I would know better than to demand more than I’m worth, as Marner failed to do and as a Toronto kid he should know better. Matthews is no better but he’s not from Toronto, a fan, or Canadian, so I can live with his ignorance. But Marner! Cmon!
They were on the move with Lou! You could see it. Then they hire the kid and it all went sideways.
The decision was Shanny's why is he not held accountable. Hired a minor league goalie coach and fired him immediately because of his political views. Unbelievable, The culture of this team is just bizarre.
Steve is so depressed during all these post season leafs segments it’s not even funny
Except it's funny
He knew this was the year to make a deep run. The cap won't be friendly with them moving forward
It's because he made his mind think this team was different. Don't get me wrong, they did look great but I was nervous going into the playoffs. Then I wasn't really at 3-1 (still a little) but once we lost game 5 I knew it was over. Steve didn't though which was the problem.
Yeah but he looks more enraged than depressed by the end of the vid, lol!
Man tortured by a vicious circle of disappointment. Poor people that are born leaf fans. If u choose to be, then you must be some kind of masochist
I suppose now is as good a time as any to mention that the Leafs are back in a division with both the Cup runner up in Montreal, and more importantly, the back to back Stanley Cup Champion Tampa Bay Lightning. If they can win, I’ll be impressed, but as a Bolts fan, I think Tampa runs it back a third straight time
@Scott Campbell the montreal Canadians are the least of anyone’s worries in this division.
They are star players for. A reason that's why teams have star players they have to step up....Adam hit the nail right on the head
Adam is right absolutely correct the star players are seat Ayers for a reason....they must step up to have the team win....that's why they gets paid the big bucks after all Adam again you are 100 percent correct
What Steve Adam and Jesse should be discussing is how can a team (the Leafs) play their worst game in the (Habs-Leafs) series in game 7?
I only watch this show to see Steve mad/disappointed 😂💕
...
Jesse is bank on. Leafs fans are more passionate about winning the Stanley Cup. That's so true. For the players, dollars and term are by far the most important.
...and then they lost Zach Hyman for nothing. *le sigh*
Doing nothing is the easiest thing not the hardest. That guys making excuses for them in advance.
oh gosh
We all want the leafs to win
1967
You do nothing. Caps finally got over the pens. Why? It’s all mental
@isthatyoubetha won the cup that year
Do you want to ruin my night?
Brought in pieces, useless pieces, Simmonds and Thornton. Still a pathetic 3rd line, and Chucky was last season signing for a 2nd line winger. Nothing to talk about.
no
Nick Robertson is not a full time NHL player. Easily gets pushed off pucks, average speed, zero defensive output and very undersized.. on a team that desperately needs skill with size.
Caufield is also undersized at 5'7" but that didn't stop him from scoring goals and giving assists in the playoffs. But Habs have big defensemen, so it's alright.
Lottery team
Welp I guess Steve is inconsolable.
rip the team completely apart its been 5 years and did nothing in the playoffs.
Rielly has been suffering on the Leafs since 2012. Let the poor guy go elsewhere.
The Leafs are FULL of little boys!! Not MEN! The Leafs don't even make the playoffs this year.
