    Nice to see Coach Hooft on CZcams. Definitely one of the best out there. Making a fist is important, also not tightening up your biceps or triceps as you punch. I had really weak wrists genetically and the constant bag work would sprain my hands multiple times every week. Did a lot of forearm strengthening and compound arm strengthening and it fixed that. Also gloves can be tough to make a fist out of, especially new ones, so the hand "crushing" strength definitely comes in handy.

    Hallo gigant,
    Had niet anders verwacht van je.Zo makkelijk uitgelegd.
    Je was in de Good old K-1 tijd je tijd al VER voorruit.
    Heb in die periode waanzinnig veel van je geleerd qua tactiek techniek en sportbeleving.
    Bedankt nog hiervoor klasbak,je was en bent in mijn beleving THE BEST.

    These guys are going against the teachings of Bruce Lee and Jack Dempsey. Teri Tom explains in her book about Bruce Lee's Jeet Kune Do named The Straight Lead says you should hit with a vertical fist or diagonal fist using the bottom three knuckles as the contact area upon impact with the intended target area. The index finger large knuckle is not intended to make structural contact with the target area.

      You can hit with the bottom knuckles, but you need to condition them separately because they are the smaller ones that are more vulnerable to breaking
