All fun and games until the clips on the round grills flick down on your finger

IV always been told you can't use smart duct outside, looks good tho

I personally never really use it. I always use colorbond trunking. However, if it requires a certain bend (hard to explain on here) then I’ll use it. Every single balcony on this particular building had the exact same pipe duct so I just matched it. But yeah in regards to using it outside, I don’t see why not. It definitely lasts, just doesn’t look as nice (some may think). Anyway, thanks for the comment mate !

Might be a silly question man. But how do you mark in your grills? Do you go up in the roof space and stick screw driver hole? Any tips would be much appreciated.

Hey mate, when marking out I normally have someone in the ceiling that I’m talking to. I’ll tap where I would like it and then they put a pilot hole down from the top with a small screw driver in a position it won’t hit Timbers. Or if I’m doing it alone, I draw what is on the ceiling on a piece of paper, for example 4 lights and a fan then I get in the roof and find those lights and fan and put a pilot hole down myself somewhere it won’t hit timber. You get used to it after a while and it gets pretty easy.

In cutting supply air duct on ceiling, you don't use stud finder to ensure nothing is above it when you cut the gyprock? Or how do you know which spot is clear to cut? Thanks

Hi, just wondering how many wires are there going from the outdoor unit to the indoor unit for the ducted unit? is it 4 or 5?
