Sultan Murad (Metin Akdülger) learns that Kösem Sultan wanted to kill him. Valide Kösem Sultan, who learned that Sinan Pasha was a traitor, realizes that he has been exposed. Helpless corners. Knowing that Sultan Murad will not stop anymore, Kösem Sultan takes measures to protect Şehzade İbrahim.
Sultan Murad IV conquers Baghdad, despite all the measures of the novices. Kemankeş appointed Mustafa Pasha as the Grand Vizier and sent him to Shah Safi.

I haven't watched from beginning to end ( just a few episodes ) & in every episode I watched, this man, Murad, was killing someone or many someones at once !
Living in the West, where life can be held so cheaply, I didn't really try to understand the Sultan.
When he strangled a woman, for whatever reason, I knew he wasn't a good / righteous ruler.
Most rulers, throughout history, don't really care about the People.
Ruling by fear / intimidation / death / religious terror ... are all foundations of a decay of Humanity.
A man who strangles a woman, is a man not fit to rule over anyone ; is a foretelling of the Children who will be next --- if necessary.
His sickly death-scene offered some recompense, but w/o any self-reflexion of his past.

In the show i was happy that his plans failed. In the history he died because of cirrhosis. Kösem had nothing to do with his death. Ottoman empire was controlling the most crucial point of trade routes that made them power hungry. Instead maintaining islamic principles they only wanted expand their empire further in europe. There was no doubt that murad was cruel though but look at how he became what he is. As a kid he saw osman who he looked up to get harassed and god knows what by the people and janissaries. He feared that and which was why he was so tough and strict and refused to bend because in his heart he hated the people he governed for what they did to his brother.
As for kosem the thing that probably angered him was while everyone acknowledged him a sultan and his authority, he never got that recognition from her until the end when he forced her to submit to him . Most of the time she was always going against him rather than backing him.
She could have given him advice and if he wouldn’t budge, she could have just supported his decisions. Instead whenever he didn’t listen to him she would actively go against him, which just made him become even tougher than he had to be and become crueler.
Murad accomplished a lot while he was in power and ended all the rebellion, won the war against the Safavids and made everyone submit while dying at the age of 27.

Not Kosem, this was even not possible. Her first child was ayse and she was born in 1605. Osman was born in November 1604, so there no place for mehmet. Kosem even supported Osman to kill his brother mehmet, but was also afraid about her children. You take your research from the series, but i took my research from the reality.
