The survival side to your channel was one of the first reasons i subscribed back in the day of your weekender etc glad you're doing these kinda tests and nights again really love this idea keep it coming all the best Ryan
Nice one …might have tried putting the poncho or tarp on the outside to keep the plastic from catching so much wind and possibly tearing…is this a replay of an older video??? I’m older and my memory is always the best. Have fun stay safe.
Thanks for sharing a different set up than I have seen before, the foil seemed pretty resilient that it handled the reposition of the pole and boughs etc, good share.
What’s the purpose of that, is it to show how to get warmth inside the tent without other heat sources. I always carry the Myla safety blanket and a tarp, which I’m guessing would have similar effect. Maybe you could have the spruce on the front to get heat from the fire but deflect the rain. Reminds me of an old fern hooped bivouac.
It was a design similar to what mors kochanski came up with, thing is , the shelter does work well keeping you warm and sheltered without the use of a sleeping bag, obviously just need to keep the fire managed for warmth
It is nice to mix it up a bit. Keep it up.
Spot on that Des, I've not made one of them for years, they are the dogs danglys, you end up too warm if anything.👍🏻
Thanks Dave
Yeah it certainly is a great idea for an emergency in really cold weather
Yeah get proper warm hey 👍
