It’s always fun to see other people enjoying a place I go to every other week. The cliff tops can be brutal in the wind. Hats off to you for braving it.
Have a wonderful connected Christmas. I agree, getting out there is so good for mental health. Photography, especially landscape photography is so mindful.
This video was Great Adam. Your laughter is sooo contagious - it makes watching this so much more enjoyable. You and your family have a great holiday Adam. 😊
Adam thank you for the joy that you have brought me, and I suspect many others, over the year. Good luck to you next year. Ken
Great landscape photography needs weather. You were blessed on this one, despite being battered and blown around. Great video!
Thank you very much. Spot on about weather making great shots!!
Another top video Adam. Many thanks for your good work in 2023 and best wishes for ’24.
Still one of the top youtube photographers for content and inspiration. Merry Xmas.
Such weather can create images that are unique. You are so lucky to enjoy this as part of your work. Wishing you and yours a great Christmas.
Love the wave images. Something I want to do more of myself.
Oh sir, wow, those waves were beautiful!
I appreciate YT photographers that actually USE their equipment instead of only relaying tech specs and selling us products. It's not always easy recording out in the elements, but they do make for the most dramatic scenes! Well done! Epic time lapse!
Yes, but the gear Adam is using in the video is a loan from Canon, circa £8,000...so is a sales pitch of sorts, to show the specs. That's why they loan the gear. Great photos aren't they! Well done Adam.
Well done Adam you captured the storm brilliantly.Thankyou.J
Merry Christmas to you and Family. Thanks for this Year and look forward to more adventures in 2024 !
Nice choice to go B&W with some of those waves. Really highlights the power of them. And thanks for going out in such challenging conditions.
Hope you have a terrific 2024 with lots of photo ops. Keep doing what you love the most! Great shots and I sopecially loved the waves, they had a sort of Selenium/cianotype mood which I love.
Beautiful scenery and images to match. Thank you for taking us all along again Adam.
To you and your family a very Happy Christmas.🎅
Stay safe 🇦🇺
Another great video Adam. Agree 💯% with your thoughts on the positive impact that photography can have on mental health. To be able to immerse yourself in nature and forget our worries and troubles can only be positive. Thank you for your videos this year, hope you had a great christmas, and i look forward to seeing what you have in 2024. Slainthe!
Amazing images Adam, thank you. May I wish you and those you love a merry Christmas and a happy and healthy new year. Terry
Hi Adam, ive just come across your channel and just wanted to say how impressed i was with this video: there are so many impressive elements to the way you make these films. I watch a lot of YT photography videos and yours are right up there.👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾
Thanks Graham. Very much appreciate your time.
Beautiful Images and the TL at the end was amazing! Cheers!!!
Adams thanks for an amazing video. It takes courage to go out into such conditions
Great content, lovely to hear your laughter Adam. Keep up the great work.
Loved the video mate, some great images in there, I particularly liked the moody wave images. I hope the boots survived the mud.
Have a lovely Christmas.
Thanks Darren. Hope you have a great Christmas too and some time off to enjoy it.
Another great video, wish we had a coastline like that near me. Have a great Christmas and look forward to more great videos in 2024 👍
Merry Christmas Adam, enjoy time with your family and friends.Another excellant video love the sound of the crashing wave and seals.
Another great video, full of amazing images. Merry Christmas to you and your family and best wishes for the new yeat.
Thanks Thomas. Same to you 🙂
You are right about the lighting in that first image. OMG! Incredible! Your excitement just makes it even better.
Love Flamborough Adam, one of our favourite places to visit, and for me to shoot. Beautiful images, loved those wave action shots. Epic timelapse to finish with. Great watch as always. Have a great Christmas mate ☃️
It's a lovely spot Sewerby Lighthouse, we were there in September and loved it so much we are going back in February, we walked down to that beach too, so numerous photos of the seals. Have a Merry Christmas and look forward to more videos next year
Another great video Adam thank u for sharing. Stunning pictures
I've been to Flamborough Head a few times when it's calm and my head still goes....dont think I'd have gone that close in those conditions! Great images
Awesome, and the audio was impressive given how much wind there was! Watched several of your videos and I'm a new subscriber today!
Inspiring video Adam! Lovely set of images from the day.
Adam, thanks for all the videos. Merry Christmas.
Love that first image. The video of the seals was great. So many times I’ve seen seals and they are just asleep on the beach. I did notice that your ‘audience’ had clean shoes. I guess there was another way down to the beach. Pleased to see you didn’t take the pro1000 with you 😜. Have a great Christmas and I’m looking forward to the epic year end.
Ha. yes there is. I normally take the other path back up.
Adam, another inspiring video. Thanks.
Spectacular photos mate! Very well done. Merry Christmas to you as well!
Thanks mate. Very kind of you to say.
Great Videao as always Adam!! Heres wishing you and your family a very Merry Christmas....be well...
Merry Christmas Adam. I hope you and your family have a good one.
Beautiful images! Thanks for sharing 📸
Great video Adam. Especially liked the time lapse 👍
flamborough head. love it, agreat place for wildlife. good images to be had, as you have shown. thanks for sharing, have a good christmas and a peaceful new year.
Merry Christmas Adam! Another awesome video. Loved the seascapes. Living in the desert southwest in Arizona we don't have the ocean. Some lakes and rivers, though. Whatever that pink ball thing was you pulled out of the tide, thank you for removing it from the ocean. Looking forward to your next video.
Washing away the year, beautiful images Adam! OH Mammouth video! look forward to that. All the very best bud, Merry Christmas to you and yours Adam.
Thanks for posting. Merry Christmas!
Nice video! Great reminder to go out and about again:)
Thanks mate. Hope you’re well.
Dinosaur island (Flamborough)is an amazing place to photograph. Beautiful location all year.
What a wonderful day for photography. All of your images are so inspiring, wish I could be on the beach with you. Can’t wait for the year end wrap up.
Loved the video, have a great Christmas!
Thank you! You too!
Hi Adam , the time I'm watching this Christmas has been, I loved this video, epic photo thank you so much
Great video today Adam, lots of exciting stormy stuff blessed with good light. Well done! 😊
Hi Adam great video as always, first time commenting on one, I was down in Cornwall in September with very high winds and it was so invigorating boosted my mood and it felt great to be there, thanks keep up the great videos.
Beautiful!
Hi Adam,
Another great video.
I have been watching your video's for quite some time now and i thought i had subscribed to the channel, but alas no I hadn't.
I have now subscribed at last.
Certainly a very windy day there.
It looked like a great place to photograph, what with the wildlife and the great rocks from the top of the cliff and on the beach.
Great image's as usual.
Look forward to seeing your next one.
Awsum video Adam thank you you the year I look forward to many more and merry Christmas
Great video and photos. Beautiful conditions. I agree with your mum, stay away from the edge. Merry Christmas.
Beautiful images.. one of those seals seemed to be looking up at the camera!
Ha. Yeah I know I thought that too. only realised once I looked at the footage though. I was quite far above them.
Wonderful! Merry Christmas my friend!
Another belting set of images Adam. The wave shots are so simple but really capture the power in them. Thank you and have a great Christmas.
wonderful video... have a wonderful Christmas
Beautiful images Happy Christmas to and family
Beautiful images Adam, loved the time-lapse at the end😊
A great video. The mud would have been enough to send me back to the car 😀 so hat's off to you. All the best. 🍷
Great shots Adam 🎉
Beautiful image from the beach, you really managed to pull the colours out of the sunset clouds.
Hey Adam... Great shots and video as always. Have a Very Merry Christmas from Ottawa Canada.
I've visited Flamborough 3 times and it was all down your videos and images from here Adam, especially the image of the Lighthouse in the storm. We have friends that now stay in Scarborough so will definitely return the next time we visit them. Loved your images from today and big thanks to you for all you have shared this year, you really do give your heart and soul into this. Hope you and your family have a lovely christmas and look forward to the continuation of following your work
Thanks Adam! A wonderful video and images. I do like seascapes and wish our coastline had cliffs here in the Northeast US, but it is a rather low lying
Coast. Merry Christmas to you and your family, and thank you for everything you do and for the positivity you bring to photography.
Merry Christmas, Adam!
Another grand video. Living in the state of Wyoming 60 mph winds are not uncommon. No sea but plenty of open prairie. Gosh I never thought of bumping up the speed to 1250 for landscape. Nice idea.
Thanks Adam for another awesome video. I love the wave images.
Merry Christmas to you and your family. Have a safe and wonderful New Year 🎉 Cheers James (🇦🇺)
When I seen you covered in mud reminded me telling you to try gaiters all them years ago haha. Have a good Christmas 🎄
Thanks for another wonderful video, Adam. I especially enjoyed the shot of the ocean with the colours in the sky, but my main take away was the shots of the waves. I had not considered taking that sort of shots before and so, next time I have an opportunity, I'll definitely be giving it a go.
I hope you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and I look forward to your next video.
Great images Adam
Only a brief glimpse, but it looks like the mud was (more or less) washed off by the tide. 🙂 But I bet you had wet feet! All part of suffering for our art, eh? Really enjoyed the video, stunning location and beautiful shots.
Great work again Adam… thank god you didn’t have to pull your printer through that mud…😂. have a good Christmas
Always enjoy your videos Adam, you again managed to capture some beautiful images, I was very impressed with the 1st image and I'd like to ask you One question when you are Bracketing why did you use 2 stops either side? I have mostly been only going to One stop either side. Looking forward to catching up with you in 2024 so merry Christmas to you and your family and have a very successful 2024
I used 2 stops in this case because I was basically shooting towards the sun and dynamic range was large. otherwise it’s just habit. to be honest, in most cases 1 stop will be fine, especially with the R5.
If you want weather, you should try a trip to western Norway.. You will not be disappointed :)
Now you've had the R5 for some time to try out. What do you think of the R5 compared to the 5D Mark IV?
I think there are worlds apart, just the dynamics. The AF is much more accurate. And then the RF lenses are so brutally sharp...
Very nice! I live in Cleveland, Ohio area and we don’t have great waves unless it’s so stormy it’s not common sense safe. This makes me envious. If your boots got muddy, how did you get back up without a repeat mud bath? Keep up the great work and thanks!
Merry Christmas Adam!!
Great audio considering the wind!
Hi, Adam. Nice shots, Merry Christmas. For the cliff shots in that very strong wind, were you using any lens or camera stabilising... on or off?
Hi Adam: I really enjoyed your video and the wave images that you have captured. I agree with your comments about this time of the year being difficult for many people. Our son is an Ontario Provincial Police officer and many years have gone by when he is working protecting the public well being. As well, my oldest brother passed away on Christmas Day in 1999 so I certainly feel his loss particularly during the Holiday Season. Your videos do provide me with some comfort. I really looking forward to seeing your upcoming video. Best wishes to you and your family during this Holiday Season. 🎄 🎄 🎄 Cheers, Keith (Canada)
Happy Christmas to you Adam!. Muddy boots aren't much of a concern considering the fantastic location and light. Wonderful images. A couple of questions on shooting with high winds/gusts. Do you have a means to hang your backpack to your tripod to give it a bit more downward force and stability. Also, were you using a lens hood with you telephoto? They can act like sails and disrupt your camera when shooting in high winds. Or was there a compromise because of the lighting?
😊
What does Servo mode means for us using Sony or Nikon?
