I have an 04 Silverado and it’s -20F here in Montana, the blower motor stopped working and I found this video. Excellent video, straight to the point, I followed along and found my resister is making funny electric noses. I played with the wire and got the blower motor working again. Saved me a trip to the shop
Excellent video, thank you for doing this!

Thanks for the info! Just helped me replace the fuse under the hood instead of buying a new blower.

I have replaced the resistor, the climate control was acting wierd the heat was staying on the entire time, I did a reset door actuator reset, it actually fixed it it was all good for like a day! Then something happen everything went crazy all gages windows everything stop working in the truck. I get a BCM that fixes everything but, when I replace the fuse the 30 amp inside the truck the blower comes on and blows for 3 seconds and pop out here goes that same fuse over and over and over I’ve tried doing the reset thing again nothing just pops fuses. I’m about to dump a gallon of gas on it a throw a match but gas now days is expensive! Just throwing anything out to see if it sticks I’m at my wits ends with this truck!! Thanks

Thanks! My blower won’t go off. Even when the truck is off and keys are out. It stays running on high. I needed to find the fuse to make it stop so it will stop running the battery dead.

The tap method worked for me. You said it was temporary, so my next step would be replacing the blower itself? Or taking it out and checking internal connections?

My 2006 GMC Sierra blower has stopped working. First it began by some of the settings on the switch not working like 1-2, 4. Setting 3 and 5 worked and now none of them are working. What do you think it is?

I changed my resistor and the blower but still no luck, fuses are all good so idk if there’s a loose connection somewhere with the actual wiring. I need more help

All fuses good under the hood of my 03 GMC Sierra but no power on either side of the heater fuse in the dash. What might be wrong? Please help

So this video’s about trying to fix a non working blower motor but what about the blower motor staying on even with the key off switch off pulling the 30 amp fuse did nothing but pulling the 40 amp fuse did stop it
