A Pokemon Omega Ruby Hardcore Nuzlocke Monotype Challenge with ONLY FIGHTING TYPE POKEMON - Can it be done? (No items, No overleveling)
Make sure to let me know what hardcore nuzlocke challenge you want to see in the comments!
RULES:
1) If a Pokemon faints, it's considered dead and can no longer be used.
2) Only the first encounter can be caught on each route.
3) Species Clause; I can reroll an encounter if the first encounter is something already caught.
4) No items in battle (held items are fine).
5) No overleveling the next gym leader's highest Pokemon (leveling up during the fight is allowed).
6) Battle style must always be on 'Set'.

ORAS were such great remakes, I love seeing them being used in runs! I feel like remakes are often ignored in challenge runs other than BDSP (obviously) and this run was a joy to watch!
I would love to see you do a steel-type run of gen 5! There’s some little-used options that I’d love to see like Durant, Bisharp or Escavalier! BW2 also gives you early access to Riolu so the run is definitely doable :)

first, my favorite fighting type is yes(don't have one, too many great options). Second, the workout brawly was doing is very similar to a few irl workouts, and it is quite effective.

I did the exact same challenge (except it was not nuzlocke) in BDSP and it was quite ok until Lucian because there is no Fighting/Dark pokémons in BDSP. That fight with Lucian was so hard.
My team was : Infernape - Machamp - Toxicroak - Heracross - Hitmonchan - Gallade

Gallade is your best shot, but with a team like that with good coverage, types are useless
The amount of love for Blaziken this guy radiates resonates with me in a spiritual level. Pokemon Emerald was my first ever game and Blaziken was my first ever starter. He is my boi and he will forever be my favourite starter.

I was thinking reptiles all together; so like crocodilians, snakes, lizards, and turtles. If you want, it could also be extended to dragons and dinosaurs too.

Hi I am now doing a sapphire Nuzlocke with hoenn fighting types and I am on the league and trained blaziken and medicham to lvl 55 , now only breloom and hariyama are left. Wish me luck😛

My personal top 3 fighting types are easily:
3. Blazakin ( really cool design, very powerful and the og fire-fighting type )
2. Heracross ( kinda like a pincer but with one one super long spiked horn that's typing is really unique and really good quite frankly, it only has 3 weaknesses )
1. Marshadow ( favourite Mythical, one of my top 5, really good typing having 2 weaknesses and 2 immunities, ADORABLE and a *busted* signature move )

YES Blaziken is the best starter and imo the best pokemon of all. it may not be the strongest (But it is the strongest starter because of ha speed boost) but it is still my first and favourite Pokemon.
edit: too bad its shiny is really bad. Would've been cool if they went for a different colour breed like an Australorp which has a jade green kinda tint to its black body

Just a curiosity: so sad GF gave Wally moronic AI. Scrafty was dead to Gallade's CC yet he deliberately went for Slash. I'll check it later but from the looks of it, he doesn't have an AI level of 7, which sucks for those of us who actually like challenging lockes.
That is really interesting I didn’t know that that gallade ran CC but it most probably does. Good spot I just kind of glossed over it lol
@@Quinnjamin Yeah, it does run Close Combat.
Took me longer than expected, but checked it and was totally right. His Trainer AI level is 5 (same as Roxanne). All other Gym Leaders ( except Liza&Tate because Doubles work differently) and E4 got an AI of 7, the max for Singles.
Which means that battle has been intentionally designed to sometimes not kill the player even if the AI sees the kill. Good to know for future runs, I guess?
This time it worked well because it saved Scrafty, but planning around a semi-random AI should be tougher, you never know which move to expect, thus making pivoting a bit more unreliable imo.
Anyway, just a curiosity. Looking forward to your next run, mate!

I feel like you should have naturally switched Blaziken against Aggron. Because Aggron is part Rock and Blaziken is neutral against rock. Any of your other fighting types could have taken damage from it. Honestly, the fighting type actually has an advantage against Steven. So it’s a bit disappointing seeing any of your Pokémon getting taken out in that battle especially Blaziken. Maybe it’s just me being a big time Blaziken fan. But besides that, the rest of the run was good and I like the run.
