16:10 one of the twilight books did that EXACT scenario, with Alice (who could see the future) predicting what moves Edward would make and Edward (who could read minds) picking her counter plays out of her brain as she came up with them. They mostly just kinda sit there going back and forth in their heads, barely making any actual moves. the game abruptly ends a few turns in because Alice foresees the opening moves playing out to result in an inescapable situation and just surrenders.

The case of the future-seerer and the mind-reader playing a game of chess. The future seerer has the upper hand, just because the mind-reader can tell what move the future seerer will do, doesn't necessarily mean that the mind-reader will make an impactful decision with that information, the future-seerer however should be able to tell how every single move he makes will end, Even if they aren't very skilled at chess they can still make perfect decisions the whole game, assuming, of course, the future-seerer can process all that information quickly. The mind-reader doesn't have the same utility, all he can do is see how fucked he is in the future-seerers head and try to make his moves quickly.
Even in the case that the Mind-reader can see the future in the head of the future-seerer; which if the case should be nerfed into the fucking ground. There is no guarantee the amount of information the mind-reader can process would be greater than the future-seerer, as the future-seerer can just think of some fuckshit and distract the mind-reader, even if they both processed information at the exact same rate, the mind-reader would need to process extra unrelated information, therefore, a loss in time. Seeing the future in the future-seerers mind, also doesn't guarantee the information the mind-reader would need to make a good decision.
Also, if the future-seerer, see's himself winning, then he wouldn't even need to try.
