It's scuffed to be sure but legitimately not bad - definitely not meant for races like these though (probably the charm lmao). You're expected to collect a bunch of fruit and use it on the post-level slot minigame.

i can vividly remember the layout of level 2 cus that was my live level as a small child and every level up until clown and was confused why i barely remembered clown and on levels. but it was because that stupid 1 boss kept child me at the start area for so long once i beat that the rest of the game was super easy. Iv replayed the game only once since than and idk if adult me can mentally handle that boss
the one thing that makes me sad is they never learned that each set of stages has a DIFFERENT bonus level
as a kid i would grind lvl 2 cus you could get like 5+ lives per run cus of the fruit bonus game and life at the start

This game is literally my childhood! I was watching this vid with my friend and he was just looking at me having a nostalgia meltdown! I’d love to see a remaster of this game so I could access it easily. I know I could emulate it but I literally don’t know how to do it and have attempted many times Im just dumb I think.

@@zeeteepippi275 I regret begging my mom to buy me the third game. I already both the 1st and the 2nd and to me, the 2nd heavily improved upon the first, so I was excited for the 3rd. I couldn't even force myself to get pass the tutorial back then, and it was even hard to watch past 20 mins of Simple playing it. It was just so bad, not even the legendary streamer could help me experience it 😭
@@zeeteepippi275 I'm pretty sure 3 was always envisioned as a Pacman game, but not a Pac-Man world game. The artist Don Bluth even worked on it. Apparently the original concept got scrapped and they were told to make something with what was left

I think it's hilarious that you played the other pacman world games first, since this one just looks SO different and I was not expecting it. It almost looks like a weird crossing point between Pacman 2: Ghostly Adventures and Pacman World 2.
The first time you raced pac man is one of my favorite videos on youtube ever.
Finally they are racing another pac man game. The first 2 races were honestly some of my favorite videos from simple.
Now the Pac World trilogy is complete.

Edit now that I've watched the video: this race felt like a stereotypical hero's arc. At first, Simple gets his butt kicked by the game and everyone in the race passes him, even Vesting. But then, through sheer perseverance, he manages to overcome the "no lives and one health save" portion of his arc and not only catch up with Vesting, but also secure the win by outlasting the rest of his friends. Truly an amazing and well though-out story, props to Simpleflips for being the great entertainer he is.

This game was one of, if not the very first game I ever played at 6 years old. As I've never played it since, getting to see the levels, music, and cutscenes that I used to have only weird, vague memories of is a uniquely strange experience, but good.

I had Pac-Man World 2 as a kid, and because I had pretty much never heard of it I assumed that basically I was the only person to have ever had it and also presumably there was no Pac-Man World because I had never heard of it. I'm glad I've had both the existence of Pac-Man World 2 and its prequels/sequels validated for me.
