There's three roles: innocents, traitors and the detective.
Traitors must kill everyone, have access to stronger items and know eachother.
The rest must kill the traitors.
Only the detective's role is shown.
The voice chat works using proximity : you only hear people close enough to you and no one can speak once they die.

If you ever want to do some TTT Shmoovement:
-Take the magneto-stick and pickup a prop (barrel/box are the easiest).
-Walk backwards while holding it at a like 15 degree downward angle (just barely down)
-Press and hold mouse1 on the object (this makes you let go of the prop, then pull it towards towards you)
-Jump
-Bhop to maintain insane speed
IIRC source games let you turn better if you don't press W while trying to control that crazy speed and only focus on doing turns with slower camera rotations and A and D based on which way you're turning.
