That part was extremely hypocritical. White majority countries are objectively the best countries for gays and women and somehow it's white men who are holding back women's and gay rights? The very men who treat women and gay people better then anyone else are getting shit on meanwhile in most non white countries homophobia is the norm and in some cases even punishable by death where as women are equal only on paper. In the muslim world honour killings are the norm and it's white men who are holding women back?

If u guys are wondering "Where's Bo Burmham?"
Well.... Buckle up buddies, this is a long one.
Bo Burnham got more and more anxious despite loving stand up comedy. Eventually leading to panic attacks on *stage.* He was scared from preforming, became depressed, basically just laughed through the pain. For example: In "Make Happy." The last song "Can't handle this right now" There is a line that states "Come and watch the skinny kid with a steadying declining mental health, and laugh as attempts to give you what he cannot give himself." The 'thing he cannot give himself" Is happiness (For obvious reasons) Both the name and that line is proof he had severe anxiety issues (and the fact that he said it on in interview). He didn't hate preforming tho, he loved it. He just needed to stop due to his mental health.
He then made a movie and wrote songs for sesame street.
But don't lose hope completely. He does some short stand-ups in LA. And he *really wants to get back to comedy.* So we never know, maybe in time he will come back with a massive banger.
If I made any mistakes. please correct me. Have a nice day.
Edit: I know this is *VERY* late, but he returned. noice.

And he blows up at hecklers very much the same way I lose my temper when someone crosses the line with me.) It can be a hard awakening, figuring our talent out, because the solutions aren't as obvious as the problems are. I'm also good at everything I try, if I stick with it for a moderate amount of time. But I'm not tormented enough to have directed my wit at comedy.

The song is funny, it’s a humorous exaggeration. Carlin said,
“I believe you can joke about anything. It all depends on how you construct the joke. What the exaggeration is, what the exaggeration is. Because every joke needs one exaggeration; every joke needs one thing to be way out of proportion.”
If you haven’t realized this, pay attention from here on out and see if he’s wrong. And it would probably do you well to read more opinions and listen to arguments against your position, or just admit you’re ignorant and would rather stay in your bubble. I think the most impactful part for me is when he sings "and also 'no' to the things you asked for"--because it shows he recognizes the social power imbalance. When people say to a marginalized person that they're taking "offense" to something--they don't get that it's not about "offense"--it's literally about being disempowered and having to come and beg another demographic to try and gain access to what that demographic assumes they have a right to simply by being born how they are. If I have a right in a society, there really is no reason that any other citizen should have to come and appeal to me for that same right. If I'm born with it, so should they be.

    (Lyrics)
    Guys
I got a lot of problems in my life
I wrote a song about some of the problems in my life
Hope that some of you can relate to it
    Here we go
    Walking around
I got no one to talk to
    There's everyone
    And then there's just me
    If I could change
Don't you think that I'd do it
    God only knows
Why he cursed me to be
    A straight white male
    I state my problems
    Other people roll their eyes
    Three trips to the mall
    Zero khakis in my size
    I've never been the victim
Of a random search for drugs
    But you can't say
    My life is easy
Until you've walked a mile in my Uggs
    Straight white male
I know the road looks tough ahead
    The women want rights
    The gays want kids (what?)
Can't you just leave us alone?
    And also
"No" to the things you asked for
    (They're being greedy
    And they know it, okay?)
Everyone thinks that I've got it easy
    Just 'cause it's true
    Doesn't mean that it's right
    So pull up a chair
    And put down your pitchforks
    Give me a chance
To show you what it is like
To be a straight white male
    The churches never made me
Feel ashamed of who I am
But I get emails from Zappos
That Gmail doesn't mark as spam
    My country's constitution
    Was hand-written by my race
    But my wife bought me
    The brand new iPhone
    With an iPod Touch's case
    (Case doesn't fit that phone)
    Straight white male
I know the road looks tough ahead
    The women want rights
    The blacks want
Not to be called "the blacks" (Sorry)
Can't you just leave us alone?
    And also
"No" to the things you asked for
    No
    Straight white male
Know the road looks tough ahead

I've tried pulling up lyric videos, but he's also legally blind and the videos usually either have a color scheme that he can't see/read, or it's too small, or too much on the screen at one time, or sometimes it goes too quickly. Or sometimes it's all of the above.

As a bi white woman who, like bo, sturggles with her mental health, I find this song so genius.
You know that your privileged and your life is for the most part amazing and full of opportunities and sometimes you whine about small things and feel bad. ( Rightfully so)
But when it comes to your mental health and your not okay you feel ashamed and guilty for feeling as if your life was difficult and full of challanges because you know that you have such a good start in life. To be able to put that complicated mess in a sarcastic song is really quite the work of art.

If you live long enough, no one's life is consistently easy. (And if you don't live long enough, well, not ideal either.) Played this for my father, who unironically loved it until he realized it was making fun of him and those like him.
    Husband loves it though

If you start to think about how useless the human being is, how greedy we are and how trashy we threat everything we touch. We are literally a parasite on this planet. You might not see this because you are a so called consumer. We all are. Some lives their lives and never grant it a second thought. Others Dwell on it for eternity and it destroys them since they want to change something that's impossible even tho they heave wealth and "power" this will never change. I hope you never get these thoughts and just live your life. All i hope for is for him to hang in there. like i said , hes extremely clever, he thinks a alot about everything since he have too because hes a comedian. Why do i write this long text ? i have no clue. There are no meaning to life. we just live and do stuff we find good for ourselves, / Greed . Its pointless in the end.
