The pen itself would possibly resemble a tower from Hogwarts with various dioramas emblazoned around the barrel featuring objects from each of the Harry Potter books? On top of the tower could be remembrall or a golden snitch. In the bottom of pen there would be a magnet to make the pen levitate! But here’s the fun part! There would be an amazon echo device in the bottom of the display stand in which you can say the infamous words wingardium leviosa in which the pen would magically levitate!

I must admit, from a distance the Hogwarts pen looks a bit cheap. Cannot say whether it feels or writes that way, but looks alone I had expected a little bit more of it. The packaging on the other hand is great though, I'd definitely keep that box! Simple yet elegant.
Cheers on the video, jeers on the pen. For that price, the standard MG nib is a bit cheap. And the print work of the barrel is not very high a quality, from the impression I get from the video. Almost like it’s screen printed on the pen, and will rub off over time. Not my cup of tea, but hopefully the Potter fans out there will enjoy it.

For a creative series of HP pens, some possible motifs would be: wands, a broom, a lightning bolt, a deep bas relief montage of animals and animagi important in the series , a quill and scroll, the Headmaster’s Tower, a Fawkes the Phoenix design going from chick to adult to flame to ash to chick, the Sword of Gryffindor, the strongest women of Hogwarts (Lily, Minerva, Hermione, Molly, Luna, maybe Tonks), the Trio (duh), etc etc. So many possibilities and all they did was toss some clipart on a pen profile that could have come from a kit. Sigh. Oh well-$400 to put towards something else!

Pet peeve of mine since I sort into Ravenclaw. The pen is lovely, but if I am going to break the bank for a pen, it would be a sakura night sky from 18111.
The intro was awesome and a great video. For a higher end model it would be cool to have a gem somewhere representing the philosopher's stone and maybe a wand clip or like you said lightning.

This intro made me squeal with joy! So fun! 😂 Unfortunately, I don't love the pen. I wish the styling was a little more inventive than just the house flag pattern slapped on the body. A solid color body would have been more my preference. Warner Bros just can't help themselves in making and uber branded pen. And it's extremely pricey for a steel nib pen *sigh*

Montegrappa’s Fortuna line of pens remain my favourites from the brand. But although I have zero time for the Harry Potter books, these pens are rather lovely in their own way. I have the Hufflepuff pen in this series. I love it much. I might even get the Ravenclaw later. If I have any money left after buying their majestic Miya 450. But these pens write wonderfully and are rather neat and pretty to my eyes.
Apparently Parker Quink Black is not actually black. If you do a chromatography, there are lots of other colours mixed together, but no black dyes. That kind of makes me interested in getting it! 😂.
ACCIO! The Montegrappa Mia's are in the same pricerange but have 14k gold nibs. Not really on par with the other models on closer inspection but one has to factor in the price for the branding and extra details I suppose. That is where they put in the saved money on the nib. Love the Sorting Hat in the back which school do you belong to Fig? You look like a Huffelpuff to me.
Hilarious! Genius! Did you do the music yourself? Window to the past is one of the tunes of my life. It is written in my dna. I imagine the high end version might be in the shape of the wand of power. With the death stone at the apex and an opaque or mirrored body and cap for the cloak.

I am quite dissapointed for montegrappa to have a pen with that inkjet logo. I would expect at the very least for them to use enamels and masks to produce the design.
Ravenclaw's house animal is an Eagle, not a raven like Warner Bros licensed products use. Also, the house colors for Ravenclaw are BRONZE and blue. So maybe some brass/bronze colored accents instead of the straight silver. Carbon Fiber for Hufflepuff since it is black and yellow, Gold for Gryffindor, and Silver for Slytherin. I dislike the printed barrel on this pen, it makes it look cheap when it really is not. The lightning bolt clip is a cool idea, also maybe a wand shaped taper for either the body or the clip seem like options to explore

It would be neat to have a pen barrel stylized as Voldemort's wand or the elder wand.
As a pen maker, I now know my next project! I have an elder wand that I am already working on!

We spent so much time with so many characters, it might almost be nice to have them themed like chocolate frog cards or something
