CLIP DESCRIPTION:
Wayne (Mike Myers) interviews Mr. Vanderhoff (Brian Doyle-Murray) on the show but surprises his producers with some very special note cards.
FILM DESCRIPTION:
Based on the Saturday Night Live sketch of the same name, Wayne's World is a wacky, irreverent pop-culture comedy about the adventures of two amiably aimless metal-head friends, Wayne (Mike Myers) and Garth (Dana Carvey). From Wayne's basement, the pair broadcast a talk-show called "Wayne's World" on local public access television. The show comes to the attention of a sleazy network executive (Rob Lowe) who wants to produce a big-budget version of "Wayne's World"--and he also wants Wayne's girlfriend, a rock singer named Cassandra (Tia Carrere). Wayne and Garth have to battle the executive not only to save their show, but also Cassandra. Director Penelope Spheeris, Myers and Carvey hang a lot of silly, but funny, jokes on this thin plot, and the energy of the cast--as well as the wild pop-culture references--make Wayne's World a cut above the average Saturday Night Live spin-off movie.

I remember seeing this in the movie theater in seventh grade. The crowd was absolutely roaring during this scene.
0:16 The head turns I only just noticed hahahahha
Fun fact: the "This Man Has No Penis" card is a reference to the famous "this man has no dick" comment from Ghostbusters, because Noah is played by Bill Murray's real-life older brother.
Donald Trump blows goats. I have proof.
Omg, I knew his face reminded me of somebody, I just couldn't put my finger on it.
He also provides the voice of the Flying Dutchman on SpongeBob.
Brian Doyle-Murray is his brother? Cool.
And of course, Brian and Kurt Fuller (Russell) were both in _Ghostbusters II_ 👻🚫✌
0:39. I lost it when the entire control room started laughing. 😂😂😂
Garth's laugh at 0:49 is hilarious.
How come "He blows goats. I have proof" is so damn funny. 😂😂😂
Because it suggests he has photographs, which leads to questions of how and why he gathered this evidence.
You got to love how Wayne just stays in control despite looking a bit nervous putting the cards out. He never laughs and keeps a str8 face during the entire show and doesn't give the game away. A master at doing it
The blows goats line, I saw that at 10 and didn't get it. Now that I do, I can say that kids won't get most adult references, so let them see R-rated movies. XD
pmalone4 even if they don't know what it means, they hear it and might repeat it.
So what did that line mean, and what was the proof?
Don't ever have kids.
@@guidadiehl9176 No.
So you perhaps don't get this joke either?
"I was so drunk last night, when I got home I blew Chunks".
The wife was a nice and supportive lady
She also played the maid in Clue. Yeah buddddddy.
Garth:😂
Noah: **looks at him** ??
Garth: 😶
Funny how Noah became a millionaire in the arcade business. I wouldn't know where to find an arcade today.
That was before the advent of online gaming
The simpler time known as the 80's & 90's.
Long before the days of online gaming & downloading.
I miss those days.
I mostly played Ski-Ball & Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles: The Arcade Game.
He owns Dave n Buster's.
Like Big Bob Pataki and his Beeper Emporium 📟
Took em 15 years to get there lol
0:50 That laugh lol
This scene reminds me of when Edge is making fun of Kurt Angle with the pictures and the text on the back of them (that was sooo friggin' howl-lerous and that was back during the Attitude Era when the TV ratings was TV-14)
They copied from this movie
That was actually post attitude era and I was thinking that too.
How did Noah not notice what was written on the cards? Garth could see and he was sitting behind Noah.
Cause she has a bow on her head.
Also Wayne may have shown them to Garth before the show
@@thecharjack9201 That's true. I didn't think about that. Thanks.
Kyle Oxenham damn I musta done good to get a reply from you 6 years later 🤣
I was always under the impression that Garth didn’t know what was written on the cards. He was just laughing because everyone else was.
Looks like everyone one was busting out laughing at the cards that Wayne wrote about the man he was interviewing, except for Benjamin.
And Russell 😐 But we know he's laughing inside
One my favorite scenes from one of my favorite movies.
That laugh at 0:52 😂
garath's laugh at 0:48 is legendary
@ 0:21, the look on his face. Lol.
Lol
Hes useing the cards yess....GOTEM
He is also Bill Murray's brother!
Father! Brian Doyle Murray.
@@CoreyT127 Brother they are five years apart
I hope one day that 0:38 is made into a meme
I think it already is
I certainly hope this scene as whole will be a meme someday
I fuckin loved this part
Informative and stimulating
This kind of stunt would probably just explode the ratings and make everyone talk about the damn arcade : D
I had two friends in high school who were just like these two--even looked like 'em (and played like 'em).
You know when your class at school does a group picture that they release at the end of the school year? Imagine if you stood next to the mean guy and held a piece of paper with those 3 notes pointing at him, and by the time it's the end of the year, you've gone to a different school so its too late to get punished and post it on FaceBook, Twitter, Instagram, and SnapChat. Also the camera is self-timered which is good so you won't have a photographer see your notes.
That's not how it works you'd still get it put on your record and they would alert your current school of what you did and it could still result in an expulsion.
@@connerkinney97 Maybe if you graduated High School, they can't do that since that's the last school your going to.
@@MustacheCashStash125 They withhold your diploma, they edit the picture and review it before the school even sees it and all photos are done before graduation. There's literally no way to get away with it in a school photo. Unless you bribe people and or somehow the students involved and teachers don't catch it or say anything which is unlikely for how controlling most schools i went to were. 2 of them had the principal look over photos before they could even use them for the year book
@@connerkinney97 You can still get away with it if after the photo was taken, you dropped out.
"What's that sign say?"
"No bare feet."
"What's THAT sign say?!?"
"No fighting!"
"What's it mean?"
"No fighting...."
You owe me one gumball machine.
What’s that candy wrapper doing there? Well don’t you see it!? PICK IT UP!!!
“And stop staring at me with them big ol eyes”
W H A T 👀
This was too funny to watch, period!!!
I just realized that the old guy was in alot of shows: Wayne's World, National Lampoon's Christmas, Seinfeld. And he the boss on that Yes, Dear Show. Probably more, but I got a good beer buzz going
Omg I about died laughing 1st time seeing this back in the day 🤣
LOL FAVORITE scene in the whole movie!
Noah is the Flying Dutchman from spongebob
And Captain K’nuckles from Flapjack.
And the bubble boy's father on Seinfeld
"He's using the cards...Yes!"
Never noticed how much Brian Doyle-Murray reminds me of Richard Daley in this scene
Still gut busting with laughter.
Justen beber was not alive when this was made!!!!!!!!
Is movieclips the sponsor of Wayne's World?
No, because they will not bow down to any sponsor
He's using the cards. 👍Yes!👍
@DanimalRegina also a lot of cartoon voices, the only ones i can think off the top of my head would be Hank's barber in King of the Hill and captain kanuckles from misadventures of flapjack, but he does a lot of extra voices for kids cartoons.
one of the funniest scenes in any movie
Cinematic gold
Before they aired the episode Wayne was shown to be either over his head or couldnt handle the corporate changes made. I'm wondering did he try to get fired or did he just think his usual antics were ok. Also how did Benjamin not research how these guys acted on the show cause I think he just thought it was popular and that he wanted to make a sell.
Best movie ever
This is too funny
I was in probably 2nd grade when this movie came out. I was still a new reader so I was happy to be able to read the cards. I remember trying to sound out “pen-iss” in my head and I asked my dad what the word was and he wouldn’t tell me. Eventually I figured it out and 😮 😂
Love it !
@zachmasterzach how could u not hes right in camera frame giggling lol
I got caught passing this note around in class once.
Get right out of town!
I was today years old when I found out that he is Bill Murrays older brother
funniest clip in the movie!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
This is so funny😂😂
It's the Flying Dutchman
And Captain K’nuckles.
funny as hell I love laugh my ass off
A shame Ben and Russell didn't.
A rare sight of a conversation between Shrek and the Flying Dutchman
What is the proof?
show this scene to theon greyjoy
I wonder if this influenced the great Norm MacDonald, who similarly made a mockery of his sponsers such as "Mangrate" on his old podcast.
Desert Storm Commando Warrior . . . . that would make a high selling mobile game :)
DukeofColumbia Instead of quarters, it would be tons of microtransactions and paywalls.
Wayne's W🌎rld
Hilarious part. LOL
Voice cracks @ 0:17 lol
This was very funny
0:39 Ghostbusters reference
So what kind of explosives was he using?
0:29
Wayne: Now tell me, Noah. I've always wanted to know. What is the difference between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man, really?
Noah: Well, she has a bow in her head.
Me: What about the difference between Mario and Dr. Mario?
oh yeah!!
awesome movie !!1
What the hell is a sphincter?? I laughed my ASS OFF when the card said "This man has no penis" lol
wow I never noticed Garth's ridiculous laugh

One person forgot to use the cards
You've just publicly humiliated the sponsor. You're fired.
Fired? For that?
@@dnasty312Yeah! Right! That’s it. I’m outta here, and I’m taking my show with me.
0:07 street fighter 2
Lighten up Benjamin and Russell! This is the show you chose to put on the air and if you had a serious problem with it to begin with you should’ve done more homework (or at least watch some additional episodes of it) before deciding to sponsor it.
18 dislikes? Must be sphincter boys.
1 person blows goats!
0:29
Colleen camp hotter then a mofo
#Kyle Oxenham You should totally become a critic.
everyone’s laughing but Russell and Benjamin
I'll bet Russell is laughing inside 😂
Rob Lowe was laughing hysterically on the inside! 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Hahahahahahaha 😂
"And may I say your wife's a babe"
did anyone else think of this while watching the vp debate?
I can't help but feel that this scene would have worked better if Garth had NOT been aware of what Wayne wrote on the cards. In my opinion, Garth's anger and frustration at Wayne in the next scene would have been all the more powerful and understandable. ("You must have known what would happen and that you would be leaving me alone on the spot.")
Agreed! Wayne just walked off the set and not tell Garth he got fired in order to prepare him how to be. Otherwise if Garth couldnt do the show on his own he really is a sidekick.
'Literally?'
Isn't that Bill Murray?
Actually there is significant difference between Pac-Man and Ms. Pac-Man not only in the appearance of their protagonists (she has eyes and a mole as well as a bow) but also in game complexity as Ms. Pac Man has (most importantly) varied level designs, better storytelling between levels, different fruit, better sounds, and overall a vastly improved fun factor. I hope whoever wrote this script never worked in the industry again!
I think the writers knew this, and expected many people in the audience to know too. That’s why there’s the exaggerated: “get right outta town!” line. That arcade owner (Noah) describes a (fictional) video game as having: “a gelatinous cube that eats warriors in a medieval village” which is a Dungeons & Dragons reference. Mike Meyers helped write it, and seems to have good pop culture knowledge. Also Ms. Pac-Man was a top seller in the 80s, and this movie is from 1992.
It’s established earlier in the movie that Noah got into arcade video games only for the money, and doesn’t respect the customers. I think that Noah’s lack of knowledge about Ms. Pac-Man was intended as a ‘clueless boss’ joke.
I have no memory of leaving this comment and presume I was kidding
1 person who disliked this blows goats.
Can I see the proof?
I don’t get it, Garth can see what he wrote on the cards but that guy can’t?
Sorry, Brit here: what does Sphincter Boy mean?
jemmabond ring of muscles around the anus is what a sphincter is so basically calling him an ass
Asshole Boy!
Limited skirmish in the Middle East
I have proof 😅😅😅
i find this scene to be odd,why is he being nasty to the old guy?it's not like he's promoting something youngsters don't care about at all.
Simply put, because Wayne was told he HAD to do it. Up until that scene, the show was 100 percent Wayne's. But after the producer (Rob Lowe) bought the show, he told Wayne that their corporate sponsor (this old guy) will get a weekly segment on Wayne's World. So Wayne didn't respond greatly to being told what he had to do with his own show.
