    Well done report as always, enjoyed it. Not sure I would enjoy the heat and humidity you describe. Train travel is always interesting as you see more of the country close up than from 35,000 feet. Looking forward to more.

    Bravo! Chris, I think I can understand you may be frustrated with the performance of your channel so I think it’s only right I say this to you - while there might be many ways to measure success, one being the number of views/subscribers, the fact that you bring joy to your viewers can also be something very substantial. Even if just one person enjoyed your videos, and it made their day better, I believe it’s a beautiful thing.
    Obviously so many hours and hard work has been placed and therefore we want the views. My point is that you’re doing an excellent job and I think you should (already so) be extremely proud of yourself at all times. Sometimes it’s timing, and perhaps other variable factors. One thing for sure, your time will come. Keep the faith, keep the hustle until then :)

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  Před 10 měsíci

      Wow! Thank you so much! You really made my day! It's really tough on most days to see my work and then see the numbers - it's hard to not quit then. I'm just not a quitter at all... It would just be so much easier and so much not fun if I had 40 times thr numbers (which would still be under 200K - a quarter of the big ones) - I wouldn't need the money from it, but I would invite one viewer to every flight as a surprise and then review it together. I could work on a real, happy community instead of just showing somebody holding a glass of champagne.... Well, I'm saying it out to the universe yet once more 😊😊😊
      Thank you so much!

    We are doing this, and many other Indian railway trains in just a few weeks! It’s so great to see what it’s like before we get there. We are doing an overnight but in 2AC class. It doesn’t look quite as comfortable as 1AC but that was sold out. Based on your experience, does 2AC look comfortable for 8 hours or so?

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  Před 10 měsíci +1

      That's fantastic that you're going to go that trip! I think that for 1 night the 2AC is fine, but then everybody has another level or threshold when it comes to comfort. Some people don't wanna step into regular economy after they've been on a business class flight. I'm still happy flying lowcost even after many times in the best first classes in the world. So I'd call myself very flexible in that respect. Horrende, it's make sure to have all valuable on my body, under a shirt during the night - just to have no risk..... .

      Well, there's a way to travel India in comfort. It's for sure not as spectacular in a video as when you see collapsing trains..... But I wanna take away the fear that many travelers have when thinking about a trip to India.
      However, it's not as easy as a country like Taiwan or any European or Southeast Asian country. The main problem stays the lacking hygiene anywhere outside international 5-star hotels, which still makes India a challenge for travelers...

    Indian rail infrastructure is improving daily by leaps and bounds. Indian rail budget this year is around $66 Billion. >92% tracks are already electrified, will be 100% by next year, target is carbon neutral Indian Railways by 2030. All older ICF coaches are being replaced by the new LHB coaches that are MUCH safer, around 6100 new LHB coaches are made per year in India, so only a few years left before ICF coaches are history. All electromechanical relays on the Route Relay Interlocking system are being replaced by solid-state electronic relays. Kavach Train Automatic Collision Avoidance System is being rolled out (2000 km this year and target is to get 35,000 km of tracks under it by 2027). 4500 km of new tracks were laid last year, 7000 km is the target for this year. On busier routes, tracks are being tripled or quadrupled between cities to allow higher throughput. To improve speeds, dedicated tracks are being laid for freight trains leading to freight train-passenger train separation (different tracks for both). Newer steel grades like R350HT are being introduced to remove speed restrictions on curves, many curves are also being re-built to ensure faster speeds through them. Average speed of all tracks is being raised to 130 kmph and major tracks is being raised first to 160 and then to 220 kmph (Railways built a new test track for the 220 kmph testing). For the latter (160 kmph speed upgrade), tracks are being fenced or walled off.
    All in all, a massive upgrade of literally every thing imaginable is happening. I didn't even list much of the upgrades happening here. Like station redevelopment, or new rolling stock, etc.

      Wow, THANK YOU SO MUCH for this fantastic contribution, telling really good facts about the Indian railways and their plans. That's really very very appreciated. You know that this is mostly an aviation channel with a few destination reports in between Airlines reviews - so this was completely new to me, but a great experience. Thank you again!
      Chris
      PS: by the way, Germany didn't care for its rail tracks - that's why today we have such huge problems with our German Rail. Super high speed trains but tracks that are simply not maintained well. So now there's delays everywhere all the time. That's why I said that hint towards my country in the beginning of the journey in Delhi

    • @death_parade
      @death_parade Před 10 měsíci

      @@TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition Glad to be of help. I am also an aviation nerd, but a military aviation nerd lol so I don't know much about commercial airliners.
      BTW, with regards to train delays, we are in similar situation where our tracks aren't good enough even though much of the rolling stock can easily clock 200 kmph. So delays in Indian Railways are quite common. It is only recently that the express trains have started getting close to scheduled times. The less premium trains are still on low priority and thus delays in them are common. But with further investment in track upgradation, this is all set to improve. I hope it improves in Germany as well.

    An INCREDIBLE monument and testament to the human skill in medieval times but a shame about the impact it has had on Agra and the pushy local tourist industry. The Rajdhani Express is one of India's more westernised and better services...

    India is a hot place. Thats why we prefer indian shoes not western shoes, bare feet aren't bad manners in india, but putting feet on chair is, we keep them out of shoes when we dont need them. In home we're barefoot, no socks no slippers. It's not our culture or clothing. Boots are western, sandals are indian. So dont be mean to people intentionally for not embracing foreign culture. Even right now im barefeet strolling in my home. Suits were brought to us by the brits for some reason people still following that suit in Offices rules even in the heat. Should be changed to kurta pajama

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  Před 7 dny

      Hi and greetings to beautiful, amazing India! I walk barefoot at home, too, of course, and I have nothing against other cultures. On the contrary, they enrich my experiences. Sometimes other habits are a surprise and then I sometimes take it humorously. When it smells of feet in a first class coach, for example, like it did here, or my neigbours would scratch dirt out from under his big toe nails..... (which of course I didn't film!)
      The other thing with clothes - is a sad result of colonialism that everybody tends to wear Western official clothes today. I never understood that, with so many beautiful styles all over the world....

      Ah, that's what you mean - I'm playing with clichés here and I like cleaning up those clichés... That's why I mention it - because not everybody travels as much as I do, so the clichés is very different from reality. Just like Germans don't walk atound in traditional clothes and lederhosen and not every Texan wears a cowboy hat, India has actually great trains and not people sitting on the roof (because that's intrinsically the cliché for a fact, and it's just not reality)

    Remind me why clean feet are gross, again?

    • @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition
      @TravelSingFlyEnglishEdition  Před 10 měsíci +2

      It's all a cultural thing. I aware that in India and also Arabia is okay. In Europe it's a no-go to put naked feet somewhere on a seat or table. In Thailand it's an absolute insult to have a foot point to another person. However, while you should know that I'm still pretty fine with it and my videos should always been seen with a punch of humor and also self-humor: feet that are naked in sandals, walking over Indian roads, can never be really clean. They're also not clean when they're washed in the same basin with other fellow travelers or worshippers, depending on the location. They're also not clean if they stuck in a shoe for an entire day. But the level of acceptance is very different in every country - and each country has its own customs, so my "feet scene" should stay a humoristic scene within the report.
      Thank you for watching. I hope you enjoyed it.
