- Today I'll be painting a secret garden as requested by one of you in the comments, I loved the idea and always wanted to paint a full garden scene but was kind of intimidated by the amount of details to be able to fit into a tutorial. This is a bit rushed, since it took me a few hours to paint this in real time, and I hope it still makes sense to watch all the steps. Happy painting! :)

Nia..this is what I could imagine to be a secret garden too...this brings back memories from my childhood when I used to watch a lot of Barbie movies and there was one called a "Barbie and the Secret Door ".In the movie , this door led to a magical garden and u managed to do the same in a way .Art has always been my escape .Loved the video.Thanks for sharing😊

Hello, as a avid admirer of all your paintings, I’m grateful you do a lot of your work on cellulose papers. Sometimes seeing professional watercolorists do their tutorials on super expensive Arches paper makes me feel like I can’t replicate their steps to my best ability. I’ve followed some of your step by step videos and while they’re not as clean looking as yours, I’m satisfied with myself. Thank you for sharing the process of your stunning paintings.
No worries! I also like to use arches once in a while, but you shouldn't let the materials stop you :)) I think the main difference is that expensive paper make the colours pop out more so you don't need to layere as much (in my limited experience) I hope that you still pursue what you love to paint! :)
Alot for such a short amount of time! I'm drawn in. I hope there is a water feature somewhere and a big swing.
The Secret Garden is a beloved children's book by Frances Hodgson Burnett. Love your paintings

Beautiful! I enjoyed this very much. I also appreciated that you used Cotman paints. My paintings are pretty drab and it's because I don't push the darks (among other things)..you've given me a great example in this to not be timid about them.

Love the darks you added in the end, maybe a few more at the very top to balance the effect? Lovely painting.
I personally thought it was too dark because at some point the soft colours made it look like it has a soft glow from morning sun but at the same time I like the contrast haha I'm kind of divided xD

I also really like gardens with lots of flowers like this, in this picture you use very gentle colors, very bright green, I feel lost in your picture. Can you draw a dandelion flower, I like this flower because of its lightness, and its pure white color.

I don't know why but I feel like the roses could be a bit more detailed and the small white spaces around the flowers should be covered (though I know it's quite tough to fill all those tiny spaces 😅)but apart from this I think the painting is quite detailed and I love it 💓💓
Yea, you could also fill it in with a darker pinks on the white parts so it looks like shadows, but I feel like it'll look too bulky without any white space xD of course this is up to taste though! :D:D
With a dry load, to paint long lines so it looks like pot plants in the distance 😅😂😂 I had to rewind wasn't sure what I heard there🤣🤣🤣omygosh.

8x10cm? that sounds pretty small... It'll be difficult to get the small details.. you might want to simplify in order to still have similar features
