Spanish bird gallery/גאַלעריע פֿון פֿײגלעך

While living in Spain I visited a castle in the city of Tarragona ייִדיש אונטן in Catalonia. Outside of the castle I encountered a shocking bird exhibition where owls, vultures, eagles, falcons and other birds of prey where being kept in atrocious conditions chained to the ground. I decided to make a film of the birds and the egregious case of animal abuse in the heart of a European tourist attraction.
בשעת אַ באַזוך אין דער שפּאַנישער שטאָט פֿון טאַראַגאָניע האָב איך געזען אַ גאַלעריע פֿון יעגער-פֿױגל נעבן אַ שלאָס. איך בין געװען פּשוט שאָקירט צו זען װי שלעכט מ'האָט באַהאַנדלט די פֿײגלעך אין דער אױסשטעלונג. די אָדלערס, גריפֿן, סאָװעס, פֿאַלקאָנען און אַנדערע פֿױגלען זענען געװען צוגעבונדן מיט קײטן צו דער ערד. צוליב דעם װאָס דער גאַלעריע איז געװען אַ משל פֿון צער-בעלי-חײם אין מיטן פֿונעם האַרץ פֿון אײראָפּע האָב איך באַשלאָסן צו מאַכן אַ פֿילם.
