03:45 You can get that sort of finish with a borosillicate plate on your printer's hotbed. You're basicly printing onto heat resistant glass. You do have to use something on it to make the print stick though, I used cheap, tacky feeling hairspray.
A Smooth PEI sheet will give you a similar effect
Is it just me or is anybody else expecting a further installment of "Future Chris"? The whole thing of him being held hostage, forced to do puzzles and being spied on is building nicely towards a new "Mega Puzzle"! I can't wait!!

Me too. I hope it's building up to something. The first video that featured Chris under observation in that cool looking room where everything looked futuristic and was solving the Loki lock puzzle (if I remember correctly) was so cool.

While the traffic lights are often mounted horizontally in Quebec, in most of North America, they are mounted vertically with Red at the top.
The cinematography time you put into your videos needs more appreciation and recognition. Nobody comes close!

Hey you do some great puzzles and puzzle boxes. I really like to ones that you did that were from labstireum i think. They had a really cool storyline along with them. Hope to see more of those in the future. I know the videos take a long time to make. But like the ones with stories with them.
"No shaking" litterally shakes it to solve
No coating for the shiny surface. It just depends on the print surface. Printing on glass or on g-10 will do that finish

A big hint was in the card you received. I kept thinking why would he be so specific in saying yellow, green and red unless he was hinting in the order they should be opened.
As soon as I saw how the back was polished and reflective my first thought was it was for spinning

Wow that's funny. I only subbed to your channel about 15 mins before this was uploaded. I watched you Faro shuffle tutorial & trick about 2-3 weeks ago as I wanted to learn the Faro shuffle. I really liked the trick & so decided that once I could do a reasonable Faro I'd return & learn the trick & did that about 90 odd minutes ago. I liked the trick so much & your tips that I decided you'd earned my sub & so I did... LOL.

I thought the green would have been the last to open because of the way they listen them in the instructions. Yellow, red, green. Seemed odd that they would list them in that order.
Would have been an even more gratifying ending to have some sort of treasure waiting for you when lifting the top off.

Shiny flat parts on 3D prints mean it was printed on a piece of glass instead of the “rougher” beds.

The puzzle is printed on a glass surface , thats why it's reflective. This is a good indication of a well calibrated printer.

Hey I have a suggestion if that great mind haven’t thought of it already. You and your team should create an app on the VR. Where you could attempt to solve some the puzzles featured on your channel.
When you were reading the instructions you did say, yellow then green and then red, so the obvious choice knowing you could have spun it would have been spinning and the yellow would have come out right away… lmbo!!!
I’m guessing the shiny side is the side that was connected to the nonstick base plate.

Bro!!! Where do you get these puzzles ? I’ve tried to find others that you don’t have videos for (so it’s a challenge) and I can’t find anything. I did find the time bomb but that was like $4k lol….
