Why do I have the feeling that one of the main morals of this channel is that more expensive puzzles do often not translate to more fun?
If I think of how many puzzles Chris could have bought from the money he spent on 3-4 of these extra expensive ones, and thus how many more cool videos that would have meant for us...
i doubt he buys these puzzles purely for his viewers. he most likely buys the ones that are of genuine interest to himself and just shares his experience.

@@bioLarzen i don't know really. I mean, if the puzzle is of better quality then it can definitely be a more fun experience.

Gun with no silencer. He might be a thief but he’s certainly not a quiet one
1. It's a suppressor.
2. Suppressors don't make a gun silent, you'd need subsonic ammo but you'd still hear it. They are used more for ear protection than stealth.
Arkoprobho Das 1: silencer is an acceptable terminology, the inventor of the device called it that.
2: you’re absolutely correct on this one.
If you're a thief firing a weapon at all, you already failed at stealth. The silencer wouldn't matter at that point.
Only quiet suppressed stuff I've heard is sub sonic .22, and even then it's far from silent lol
A suppresser won't make it silent that's impossible

Hi my guess for solving that padlock's code is that:
Firstly: The roman numbers on the backside are just the numbers of consecutive quadrants (that's how you tag them in mathematics).
Mathematical symbols (+, -, / and *) in each quadrants are telling you which boolean function use for each dial.
One option of solving: your starting point is 0 0 0 0 and in first quadrant you've got "+" sign then let's assume that - how you called it - brass knob, makes five clicks in first quadrant, the sign is "+" so you add plus five (you set 5 on first dial).
Then in the second quadrant it makes 3 clicks, but there is subtraction sign "-" so you subtract 3 from number which is set on the previous dial e.g. 5 - 3 = 2 -> you set 2 on the second dial. But analysing the third dial I think it's a blind lead, because there is a number 9 which is and odd number so there is no way of multiplication number 2 so that it would equal 9.
But i figured another way, let's count the clicks from the starting position of the brass knob, so similarly to the first option the first dial would be 5 (5 clicks, there is "+" so we go from 0 to 5 on the dial), but then on the second dial you would sum up all the clicks from the beginning so e.g. it would be 5 + 3 = 8, since you have the subtraction sign designated for the second dial, you should go the other way so eight positions counterclockwise - from 0 on the dial through 9,8,7,6,5,4,3 ending on number 2.
Then again there is a bit of dimness about the third dial and multiplication, since the number of clicks is uncertain it's hard to guess, but let's say there is another 5 clicks in the 3rd quadrant, so from the beginning it would be 5 + 3 + 5 = 13 clicks, now adopting your way of thinking, let's multiply that 13 by 3 (3rd quadrant), we get number 39.
Now we're setting the 3rd dial of padlock, so we should go 39 positions (let's say clockwise) in the and we would get number 9 on the dial.
The last quadrant, let's say have 7 clicks, so again counting from the beginning 13+7=20, now let's divide by 4 (4th quadrant),
20 / 4 = 5 -> you set 5 on the 4th dial of the padlock.
Of course by watching the video it's really hard to tell exactly how many clicks ocurred in each quadrant, beacuse you were shooting different numbers each 5 seconds of the video, once you said that for 1st quadrant you have 3 clicks, then 7, then 4 etc.
Also I think that you should turn the brass knob clockwise, so that the roman numbers "would go counterclockwise" against the marker, as it was depicted on backside of the whole unit with the arrow.
All in all there has to be something with the number of clicks.
Maciej P Thanks for the Algebra Lesson
Honestly I was thinking the same thing for solving it, but it was hard to confirm since the clicks weren't audible enough.

Guy Ritchie is the first think I thought of watching the intro... Snatch easily top 3 favorite movie... Then you said it... So cool man!!!
I can’t be the only one that still impressed at how fast he can finish these
The intros are always so well thought out, I'm so glad you keep up with them. Always one of my favorite parts of the videos! 😊 Also I'll always like for the guy gaining friends somewhere out there 😂
Julia Violet hate to be the bringer of bad News but the guy gaining a friend thing isn’t true
