That trade for Oshie in 2015 might be one pf the best in the history of the Caps franchise, up there with the trade for Rod Langway, the Dale Hunter trade, and the deal with Philly that let them draft John Carlson.

Oshie has always been one of my favorites. His story and how he handles himself should be such an inspiration to all kids. I also have lost a family member to that horrible disease!! Thank you SC & Osh for this!!
Oshie has been my favorite hockey player ever since I was three years old. I’ve always loved him. I remember during the lockout year he was down in grand forks at a Sioux game and I met him with a toews jersey on 😂😂😂😂.

Seeing what the Edina program/locker room alone and speaking with their coach at the time, you could see the professionalism that the program and high school hockey in Minnesota had in general. It's no wonder so many kids from Minnesota get drafted to the NHL after getting a behind the scenes look

I live in Red Deer and was blown away that the IIHF had these kids in a public hotel, I ate Christmas dinner at this hotel and their was players all over the lobby and banquet rooms. When the government hacked the seating capacity it killed everything in red deer. This is a governmental issue not a municipal issue. Red Deer lost millions of dollars and revenues and we are all crushed that these kids never got the chance to showcase their talents on the level they deserved to play on.
As fans we do not make the decisions that are made in these situations and believe this we are hockey! Towns with 600 people have a rink and every age level to play there, Canadians are not ruining the NHL or the World Juniors that's bullshit!

Most over talked about moment in hockey history . Have hella respect for Oshie and his accomplishments but so tired of hearing the Yanks just live off this shootout when they didn’t even win a medal . It was a impressive moment but lost a lot of value when they didn’t even win shit .
