I woke up my sons and nephew (ages 11, 9, and 9) and got them out of bed right before this happened because I promised I'd wake them up if we had a chance at winning. My husband came out of the room, half asleep, because of the screaming I was doing. Literally fell to my knees and cried like a baby then called my brother, sister, and cousin just to laugh, cry, and bark with them. I'm 35 and have been a Dawg fan since birth. I can't even explain what this moment felt like. Go Dawgs.

Almost exactly 4 years ago, I was sitting with neutral-fan friends in Dallas, TX watching a game we should have won only to be heartbroken and crushed, left in gut wrenching disbelief. Just felt numb. My friends just put their hands on my shoulder and said “sorry bud”. Sickening. Those soul crushing feelings came back when Bama started to drive with less than 2 minutes remaining and the Heisman winner lofted the 3rd and 10 pass up. Pure relief and joy, an exhilarating exhale released on the interception and just euphoria as the historic pain was let go. HBTFD Wow!
I was having pretty intense flashbacks & just KNEW they were gonna tie the game and send it to OT. You’re absolutely right, gut wrenching disbelief was the best way to deceive what they’d done to us 4 years ago. It feels extra good to realize they’re fans were thinking along the same lines as us, just knowing they would pull off a miracle like always. Like, it’s hard to put into words how much the losses to Alabama have hurt but that only made this one that much sweeter!

Almost exactly 4 years ago, I was sitting with neutral-fan friends in Dallas, TX watching a game we should have won only to be heartbroken and crushed, left in gut wrenching disbelief. Just felt numb. My friends just put their hands on my shoulder and said “sorry bud”. Sickening. Those soul crushing feelings came back when Bama started to drive with less than 2 minutes remaining and the Heisman winner lofted the 3rd and 10 pass up. Pure relief and joy, an exhilarating exhale released on the interception and just euphoria as the historic pain was let go. HBTFD Wow!
I was having pretty intense flashbacks & just KNEW they were gonna tie the game and send it to OT. You’re absolutely right, gut wrenching disbelief was the best way to deceive what they’d done to us 4 years ago. It feels extra good to realize they’re fans were thinking along the same lines as us, just knowing they would pull off a miracle like always. Like, it’s hard to put into words how much the losses to Alabama have hurt but that only made this one that much sweeter!

As I get older, I begin to appreciate sports more and more. I played 3 sports my whole life growing up. I have memories on and off the field that’ll last for all of eternity. The Cavs 2016 championship makes me sob crying, still to this very day. Miss those days man
