That’s actually a good point that I will use for the interview process. Get everything knocked out in a day instead of going through the whole process for Days!

great timing. I actually just did my third interview with a company today. They had me find out why a laptop wouldn't power on. RAM, battery and fan wasn't plugged in. I'm just tryna land that first helpdesk role. been asking for 45 - 50k range in GA by the way

Rather do a shadow day then any other assessment. I want to know who I'm working with, what is the real environment and not the one advertised. I trust my own spidey senses and all I need to to be in the room for a while to make my own real assessment .

@TechTualChatter I agree with you , I find it's only mature companies that pay for the shadow day.
In my personal opinion, I want the shadow day before I commit to signing a contract even if it means not getting paid for the shadow day.
Too many times, I've been "tricked" into an organisation, thinking that the grass is greener only to find out the horrors in month 3.
