10% of comments: About the rest of the video
ALL MY FAVORITE BOOKS AND A ONE DIRECTION POSTER IN THE BACKGROUND!!
what's not to love?
I see Louis Tomlinson in the background
emilymxwell i see beyond some disguise but she amazing minds for our younger generation
emilymxwell The angels done a good job with some of the youth
I haven't read a book proper in like 3 years and here I am in BookTube.
Bunny Senpai me too lol. Book tube has inspired me to read more and I've read tons since
tbh, I was in that position but like Bunny Senpai said, it really has made me read again and I am enjoying it more and more again.
irrelevant but Louis Tomlinson in the back ground made my day
woah I didn't notice that.
AHAHAHAHAHHA YOU GET ME
Omg my baby
I died when I saw a one direction calendar in the back , I was like " dang it! I can relate " 😂😂
IS THAT LOUIS IN THE BACK?
1SimmerGirl that's totally Louis in the back
Your bookshelf is GOALS! It's so pretty!
I love the lights you have on your bookshelf!
Really love the fact that I stumbled on your channel by accident (first time autoplay didn't annoy me)! Definitely keeping an eye out for all the new videos !
I loved Fire and Flood! And the follow up in the series! I have had Incarnate on my shelf for years now. After hearing your description, I am going to add it higher up in my TBR pile!
AHH ur bookshelves are so different I actually like ur current ones better
Great suggestions! I had a few of these on my TBR list, but most of them I hadn't heard of! They all sound very interesting though. The only one of these I've (tried to) read was Magonia - I'm about halfway through and it's kind of meh. I thought it was an interesting premise but I've been having trouble getting into it. I will probably try to finish it at some point though.
the Magonia cover art is so so pretty 😍😍
Heard lovely things about Night Owls - your brief synopsis was intriguing as well! Definitely want to try pick it up. Everything Lead to You sounds LOVELY!!
+Boho Bookworm hope you enjoy them!!! :)
Incarnate is definetely on my TBR shelf right now. I always thought the cover was beautiful but never was really interested until now because never knew the summary. Fire and Flood has been sitting on my shelf for soooo long. I also need to read the Disenchantments now, because you sold me on that when you said the word hippy
I'm getting and reading Snow like Ashes this September! I'm so excited for it!
love your calender with louis in the background :D
the Incarnate trilogy sounds so good! I really liked hearing about some underrated books because sometimes you get so lost in the current popular ones that you skip out on some other potentially cool books. Awesome video!
first time to come across your channel, super awesome video, I will definitely subscribe.. and I can see my baby Louis in the background.. awwww!!! MTB ♥
Night Owls is also called The Anatomical Shape of a Heart, which is the US title.
I really love your videos!
I've actually been very interested in the Snow Like Ashes series after hearing you talk about it so much. Hopefully I'll get to it early 2016! :)
Thanks for the recommendations! I don't read a lot of historical fiction, but PoNaF sounds great! You should check out The Star Thief by Jamie Grey! It's fantastically written and so underrate. The main character also reminded me of Celaena!
I own Incarnate and Snow Like Ashes so I really need to read those. They sound amazing :)
GIRL! The Disenchantments is one of my all time favorites!
Ooooh! The first one looks cool, I saw it in the bookshop!
Love how you described fire and flood, the hunger games with Pokemon, my all time favourite book
I can't wait to read Ice Like Fire I just hauled it and it reminded me how good Snow Like Ashes was. I own the entire Incarnate trilogy so that's def. on my 2016 tbr! Also I agree with you about wanting to just browse and checkout random books. Surprisedly there aren't a ton of releases I'm highly anticipating next year so it's the perfect time for me to discover some hidden gems :-)
You're one of the first booktubers I started watching and it amazes me how many books you have read and ugh, you're so pretty and I just love watching your videos, I take on all your recommendations and humph. This is a mess of a comment but yeah, thank you for making these videos.
I am about to start Conspiracy of Blood and Smoke cause I finished the first book not that long ago and LOVED it so I am super excited to read it! :)
This video is fabulous ! Thank you for some great books recommendations , will have to check snow like ashes out because throne of glass is my favourite ! And I love fire and flood so much ( maybe it's because it's similar to the hunger games so it was familiar and comforting :D
+CarmyReads you're so welcome!! i hope you enjoy snow like ashes! :)
I'm currently reading The Book Thief and am about to read Shadow of the Wind which i've been told is awesome! Now i'm quite a slow reader due to the small ammount of time i have to read, but i would really appreciate it if u could make like some list of books that are similar type of writing, this depth of meaning to the story combined with the amazing experience!
I enjoyed the Quarantine trilogy by Lex Thomas. I haven't ever seen it mentioned on BookTube before. Thank you for some more recommendations :)
yay for ink! love that series, actually just finished the last book a week ago or so ;D
a great underrated book is also cherry red summer by carina bartsch!! :) lots of love from austria ;)
I watched just ONE video and I was already obsessed with your channel. 😂
Night Owls is my absolute all time favourite book and I'm so happy it was included 💙
you should do playlists for your videos, so we can binge watch.. 😆😆 love your videos.. greetings from Colombia!!
I really REALLY want to read Everything leads to you and Ink!!
Neve read a book that was mainly about japanese culture!
I recomend Fablehaven if you like Harry Potter
Harry Potter Percy Jackson an fablehaven Ikr
I love Nina Lacour! I loved Everything Leads to You and the Disenchantments! Those books are definitely underrated and deserves so much more attention!
Thinking of buying Incarnate! :D Thank you so much for this video!
I agree with you sooo much...Snow Like Ashes deserves more popularity...like everyone should read it. It's frickin fantastic.
Incarnate sounds like it would be a wild ride! I will definitely check it out, maybe go to the Indigo by my house and grab a copy, thanks for the recommendation. I also did a video like this on my channel, I find that there are so many hidden gems in need of sooo much more attention
Hailey, if you don't mind me asking, did you ever participate in Odyssey of the Mind?
You should read Hold Still by Nina Lacour, that was the first book I read by her, and just made me fall in love with her writing.
Finally somebody has read night owls!! I read it at the beginning of this year and nobody else had read it. it's such a good book!
The Newsoul trilogy sounds interesting. I haven't that much about Fire and Flood duology, so I'll have to check that out sometime.
Hi hailey! Im quebecian so we dont have a lot of english books here sooo could you tell me what youre thinking of All the light we cannot see ?? I tried to go on goodreads but im not sure how it works and cant find you! Pleaase this one is in my bookstore and intrigues me!
I didn't knew that Snow like Ashes isn't that popular :o
I haven't read it but I have heard a couple of CZcamsrs talking about it :)
it's on my Christmas Wishlist :)
"Ink" is such an amazing book. I'm reading the sequel right now.
I love how back then they were underatted and now some of them (Snow like Ashes, etc) have become so popular! This is really such a small world! xD
Should I read books that I don't really like? I have found a genre that I really like but my mum says I should read more of a variety! I agree with her, I would like to be more diverse and I would love to enjoy things like fantasy but I just don't like it! Any tips?
Prisoner of Night and Fog sounds SO interesting... It's funny because I've actually been wanting to read a book about a young girl who has some kind of close relationship with Hitler so that actually sounds like a perfect series for me! :D
+Lily Abbendale that's really what it is so it's perfect!!!
I totally agree
I may be quite late with this comment :) But I just read the boy at the top of the hill and it is just about as brilliant as all of John Boyne's books and I think it really picks up on the dilusion of Hitler. I can only recommend :)
alicia_sucks thanks for the recommendation! :)
Prisoner of Night and Fog is on my Christmas Wishlist =) Hopefully I'll be able to read it soon.
+Lina Cheira i hope so!!!
I recommend Entwined by Heather Dixon 😊 I don't hear of it much on booktube but it is one of my favorite stand alones
did somebody ever told you that you look like tessa from after?? Btw your youtube channel is amazing
+Ioana Io no i haven't heard that before, but i'll take that as a compliment. thank you!!!
Fire and flood is one of my all time favorite books. Have u read the sequel it's incredible.
Magonia was so confusing to me, it could be so good. And is Prisoner of the night a bit like Wolf by Wolf or totally different?
I love everything Japanese, history, culture, language, everything. So You’ve sold me on INK!! And a Canadian author??? Even more sold. Thanks!
Magonia sounds really interesting !
i save some of your books review's to go back to look later to buy books.
Thank you
Read Tell the Wolves I'm Home! I never see anyone talking about this book even though it's amazing. It was a very character driven novel, but I couldn't put it down. I've never warmed up to characters so quickly before. As soon as I was introduced to them I was attached.
I thought I'd read Night Owls next... I found it, but it's not available for purchase on Amazon (for my kindle). That's the first time it happens, and I don't understand why. Interestingly enough, now I want to read it even more.
Can you PLEASE make a review for looking for alaska???♥♡♥
I just found your channel and really like your videos! can you please make one on bad ass female leads, i love books like this and would love some recommendations!
There is one of her Bookmas videos from last year with that topic. I'm not sure which one is it but I think it is day 9.
I found it, thanks for the help!!!
I recently bought the Anna and the French Kiss "trilogy" I think I'm not sure, they might be companion novels? Anyway, I noticed with yours as well the Isla one is smaller because of the publishing company! Does that bug you as much as it bugs me? Haha anyone else?
I think one of the most underrated series is The Rosewood series by Katrina Abbott. It's a must read!
Is that Louis in the calendar behind her
yes
thank you so much I'm gonna look for these but I doubt I'll find them
crying at louis on your wall lmfao YAS he was my bae in high school :')
Christmas Jumpers FTW!
Prisoner of Night and Fog sounds so good! I'm not really a fan of contemporary either and you recommended really good books:) Ingarnate sounds so amazing, also
i've just filmed a book haul and unboxing, that i'd love for you to check out! :)
My favorite underrated book is The Devil's Diadem by Sara Douglass! I just read it and it's full of surprise. It's a standalone fantasy book about a young woman in 12th century England. There's some court politics, religion/ancient magic and strong female characters in it, so if you get the chance I would really recommend it! I haven't heard anyone about it on booktube and it came out in 2011! I picked it up because over the cover haha, so glad it was worth it, definitely a hidden gem as you said. :)
+Alyssia Spaan i'll have to check it out it sounds really cool!!!
I love your videos so much. What are some other booktubers you like? Looking to follow some more. :)
have you read pathfinder by orson scott card?
You should read The Black Book of Secrets by F.E Higgins, it's really good and super underrated
A lot of my favorite underrated books are actually German (cause I'm from Germany), and never have been translated into English.. But there is one book from an english author, who is called Catherine Fisher and the book is called 'Incarceron'. This book is so unique, I have never read something similar before. So I really recommend checking it out :)
+saphora672 i've actually heard of that one! it seems really cool!
I just realised I read Hold Still a while ago and it's by the same author who wrote Everything Leads To You and The Disenchantments. Never realised that.
I enjoy The Pendragon series (reading book 6), Charlie Bone, and Dreamhouse Kings
I recommend in the after and the sequel in the end its dystopian but you gotta live them
Night Owls is amazing. It's one of my favourite books even though it's not very popular. They're so cute >.
Actually show like ashes got me into reading!
Would you recommend snow like ashes for a person that is new to fantasy the only fantasy books? I have read is the first Harry Potter book and the first 4 Percy Jackson books. I want to get into fantasy but have a hard time reading about magical creatures.
you should read the other 6 HP books, they are great! 😊
I liked the idea of Magonia but I felt like there wasn't enough world building for me (and Aza was annoying as hell xD)
Added a whole bunch of these books to my wishlist :)
I'm actually surprised that Snow Like Ashes is underhyped . I read it and enjoyed it, it was unique in its own way.
I remembered that the book was hyped up before it was released, but I haven't really heard much people talk about it :/
Have you read the young elites?
Prisoner of night and fog really sounds so interesting I am going find it now
are hard books better then paperback plz I need to know
Did you already read a book called shadow land if not I suggest to read it 😀
I really liked the Everneath trilogy by Brodi Ashton it's not super known, but it is absolutely awesome it's kind of a myth retelling on Persephone and Hades a must read for fans of Percy Jackson and heroes of Olympus
Yes!!! I loved those books! I've never met anyone else who's ever read them either. Glad to know there's anothe fan out there :)
I have always been fascinated by why good quality books are under appreciated. If anyone has any information on why this happens please let me know.
Nice calendar
I will subscribe only bc I saw the one direction calendar 😂
You must be young
I think that the odds of lightning is an amazing book. You all should really read it.
Your goodreads account reached the max amount for friends ):
Definately agree with Magonia.
The Royals is my favourite most underrated book and I would recommend it.Also this is where it ends is a great book
I'd love to recommend The Art Of Being Normal. It was a fab book!
Chels883 Omg, I love that book so much, but I've never heard anyone else ever talk about it before! It's so awesome!
I'm not sure how underrated her books are - I basically live in a book bubble - but there's this British author called Celia Rees who has written some amazing YA books, and no-one I talk to has ever heard of them most of them are sort of historical, but they are really good, and they aren't about balls and the Ton and things like that. They're a little different, and I just thought you might like to hear about them.
