A nice summary of your past content, and as you said at the end, perfect time since we're stuck inside. I've been practicing handstands for a couple weeks now, this video is timely.
I also bought rings on Amazon when my gym closed down, there's a convenient tree outside my apartment to hook them onto. If you're looking for video ideas, a beginner rings summary video would be cool too. I'm basically doing dip negatives and chin-ups so far (I was up to 8 dips at the gym, going back to dip negatives on the rings feels bad). Also false grip is unbelievably hard, I can't hold it at all.

The level of detail here is amazing! You answered a bunch of questions I didn't even realise I had. Especially around the application of it all. I had no idea what training would be best to focus on as a noob, nor for how long or how regularly I should do it. Invaluable content, thank you!

Thanks soooo much, I’m about to begin this gurney. I started last year, well one privet lesson and lots of practice, i got a shoulder injury and stopped. I think between jujitsu and weight lifting my shoulders are tight. The reason for is so I get more mobility in my shoulders as not to get pined so easily in jujitsu class. Anyway, thanks a bunch - I’ve been wanting to do hand stands for as long as I can remember.

I started drilling 2.5 years ago 5-6 days a week 45-90 mins after 60-75 mins yoga, I took lessons, made major adjustments practically lost all my progress but somehow kept at it. I restarted my Aerial hoop training August 2020 when NYC studio reopened and It was the cross training and development of pull strength that recently helped me find the body awareness for consistent entry control and sustained 5-15 sec balance. It easier to train and run the Marathon and still a WIP...

    Hi Tom,
Love you work, always insightful and intelligent.
I’m a martial arts instructor based in the Sydney Aus and have always struggled to maintain my flexibility despite over 30 years of practise.
I put a lot of this down to the majority of the martial arts industry having little or no understanding of anatomy and just doing what they were taught.
I’m good friends with the guys at Manly Warringah Gymnastics like Lachlan Walker who have helped me implement stretching methods like PNF and other mobility exercises which have greatly benefited both me and my students, however I am finding sustained gains hard to maintain whilst constantly having to teach and demonstrate.
I teach an average of 3 times a day 5 days a week and am required to demonstrate and conduct a stretch in each session, and was wondering if this demand could be responsible for my fatigue and lack of progression, and if so is there a stretching method which you feel will enable me to continue working, maintain or increase performance.
    Deepest regards and stay safe.
    Jason

Hi Tom can you rate my stretching routine i been doing just started. Takes about 20 minutes, once in morning and once in evening.
    Warm-up
    Calf raises - 1 minute
    Deep knee squats - 1minute
    Lateral lunges - 1 minute
    Front lunges - 1 minute
Hip rotate hands on waist - 1 minute
    Stretches
stand up toe reach (emphasis on pelvic tilt), 3 sets 30 seconds
Seated spinal twist, set each side 30 seconds
Front lunge hip stretch, set each side 30 seconds
Front lunge quad stretch, set each side 30 seconds
Lunging hamstring stretch, set each side 30 seconds
Pidgeon stretch / 90 90 stretch, set each side 30 seconds
butterfly stretch 3 sets 30 seconds each
knee splits / sumo stretch, 1 set 30 seconds
lay on back reclined knee to chest. set each side 30 seconds
lateral lunge static, set each side 30 seconds
Side split attempt on wall stretch to extremity. 30 seconds
Abs stretch to shoulder stretch, 30 seconds each.
These stretches are all purely static with maybe the odd bounce involved if i feel comfortable.
    What are your thoughts please.
