I think the staging is great too, it just needs some polishing, basically I feel it's like last year, they have a great concept just needs some fine tuning. So very excited to see how the final version will look in Rotterdam.
My biggest issue with the staging is I feel her clown outfit looks a bit cheap but it's an easily fixed issue. To be fair I feel that whats is currently responsible for much of the negative reaction as people just see the cheap clown look then don't look beyond at what else is being done. Hopefully they keep the clown look in may but just want it to look more expensive.

The staging is messy, but at least you get the message (which in itself is a hard message to stage). She isn’t a clown, she’s a marionette. Or the fool in the relationship. Either way, there is room for improvement in the way the display tells the story, but so appreciative that you could interpret the overall story. I hope (knowing Australia’s reputation for improving before the finals) that they work on the staging so less intuitive viewers can get it too. Great review

Great video and good to see you have done your research before critique of the performance 👍. You get it totally. But people either get it or they don’t and nothing in between. I was at the live show and found it messy from the audience due to camera getting in the way and that she does not engage with audience enough. But these things can be easily fixed. But I love the song and she deserved to win. 🇳🇱♥️🇦🇺🏳️🌈🇪🇸
I’m so sad we will never see the full Eurovision staging of this, from what SBS showed us, it would have been a real Powerful moment on stage. Hopefully 2021 makes up for it.
