Honestly I don't think anything tops the cake as much as Mankind winning the big one in 1999 on Raw
So good that it caused WCW to go downhill from that point on
You’re right. That crowd, Austin’s return, the pop…….what a great night of pro wrestling.
@@MrMusick84 yeah
If ever there was a list where I was entirely certain of a #1 only to be proven right...this was it!
That Santino title change will be in my mind forever. I was a dumb ass kid at the time so the whole angle worked like a charm on me😂
Agreed
Spike Dudley winning the Euopean Championship from William Regal deserves an honorable mention just because of how short and hilarious it was
I must admit that was funny .
Cody and gold dust vs the shield in 2013 on raw still one of the best things we ever got on TV
Of that year, at least.
Carlito wining the US and IC titles on both his raw and sd debut is a unique career Highlight
He said Marty Janetty threw himself through the window 🪟 lol 😂
That's what Bobby Heenan said when it originally happened.😂 if by chance you haven't seen the original footage, check it out. Heenan is hilarious! Called it "an act of cowardism"😂😂
@JennaLeigh I saw that. I forgot about it though. Heenan is a fool 🤣
@@rachaelbluee3222 lol yessss! One of the GOATs fr
@@JennaLeigh clear as day. The coward!
@@HoV326 🤣🤣 right? A total act of "cowardism"!
Surprised you didn’t include Austin over Taker June 28th 1999. One of the highest rated raw segments of all time.
Or Austin vs Kane 6/29/98. I was there that night in Cleveland and haven’t experienced an atmosphere since.
Can we get a Smackdown version later? I am curious
Would MITB cash ins count? I liked it when Edge cashed in on Taker.
@@PingGuerrero69it counted for this list
Jeff Hardy beating Triple H for the Intercontinental Championship.
0:38 that banner was goated
“That’ll put butts in seats” is the equivalent of a slander promo in Smackdown vs raw gm mode backfiring and letting the opponent gain 200k fans 😂
Foley winning it in 98 will always be the best Raw title change
'99.
#1 Mankind beats Rock for WWF championship January 4th 1999. It was a great birthday for me 😂
Another great video, love the content!
1:55 im sorry but vince looks like a mafia don from the 60s
And still they didn't count Dolph Ziggler as a Grandslam champion even though he won the World Title in 2013
I assume R-Truth winning the 24/7 title is No. 1?
Awesome Thumbnail & Upload!!!😁👍🏾
Poor Marty. Dude was way too talented to end up the butt of so many jokes.
Adam did well narrating this list.
God forbid we say anything nice about the Miz, ever, right? But I maintain that his 2010 MitB cash-in on Raw was subtly one of the best-executed cash-ins ever.
I'll be waiting to see the list of the best WWE Smackdown title changes, along with the best WWE NXT title changes, though I think there's a list for NXT.
Marty Jannetty flung himself through the barbershop glass to get away from Shawn Michaels. That's pretty damn funny 😂🤣.
I honestly think that Sycho Sid beating Bret Hart for the WWF/WWE Championship in the RAW before Wrestlemaina 13 should be on here, or at least have gotten an honorary mention, since it was the first time that somebody won WWF/E title on RAW.
And he’s not in WWE Hall of Fame
Miz cashing in didn't make the list? Huge knock on otherwise a great video.
Even though it was reversed, Jericho beating Triple H in 2000 RAW was one of the biggest pops and truly amazing moments.
Lita vs trish stratus on the December 6th 2004 episode of raw is such an iconic match man WWE'S Women's division during the ruthless aggression era was awesome how is that match going to be 20-years old in December time flies 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂😂
Everything that happened in WWE in 2004 turns 20 years old in 2024. Eddie Guerrero winning his first(unfortunately his last) WWE championship; Trish Stratus turning heel at WrestleMania XX(20) on a babyface Chris Jericho; the first ever Raw Diva Search Competition debuted; Heidenreich kidnaps Michael Cole on Smackdown & reads a poem to him; Undertaker returns to WWE at WrestleMania as The Phenom once again. So much nostalgia from 2004, good & bad.
Oh yeah I saw Banks win that live
The #1 moment was when the tide completely turned in the Monday night wars.
It would only make sense to do Smackdown after this video
My personal #1 is Big E winning the belt, he never should've lost it.
The Rhodes Bros storyline was extremely underrated and underappreciated. It should have ended in a great Mania match between them
Cant wait for the Smackdown Sequel
I think it’s funny that they put Trish v Lita over Steph v Lita.
Considering how important they wanted Steph to be in the women’s revolution 😂
I WAS HERE
Interesting choice of words to end off on, cause a lot of people who switched the channel to Raw from Nitro when Mick Foley won, many realized there was enough time to catch the end of Nitro.....just in time to see the finger poke of doom
I was flipping between Michigan vs Louisville national championship game and Raw after Wrestlemania 29 and Ziggler title win was only part I stayed on Raw whole time
Battleground 2013 was awesome
That Rhodes Brothers title victory is always somewhat tainted to me because of WWE wanting us to believe that the “Yes” chant was over, and the Daniel Bryan wasn’t….
I know what number 1 is just from the title
We all knew what number 1 was before clicking on this
So wrestlemania 40 was not the first time that we have a tag team match including Cody Rhodes, Roman Reings, Seth Rollins and a bald guy, interesting
The New Age Outlaws Vs Cactus Jack And Chainsaw Charlie For Tag Team Titles (Raw 1998), New Age Outlaws Vs Kane And Mankind Tag Team Titles (Raw 1998), Mankind Winning The WWF Title (Raw '99), Triple H Winning The WWF Title (Raw '99), The Rock And Sock Connection Vs The Undertaker And Big Show For Tag Team Titles (Raw '99), Lita Winning Her First Women's Title (Raw '00), Lita Winning The Women's Title For The Second Time (Raw '04), Gail Kim Becomes The Women's Champion (In-Ring Debut) Raw '03, Victoria Winning Her Second Women's Title (Raw '04), Lita Winning Her Third Women's Championship (Raw '06), Mickie James Winning Her Third Women's Title (Raw '08), Paige Winning The Divas Title (Raw '14) And Benoit And Jericho Vs The Two-Man Power Trip For The Tag Titles (Raw '01).
My favourite was Edges second WWE title win summer 06 when he won over RVD and john Cena
Triple H Era: "That's it, no title changes on Raw or Smackdow... Actually no title changes anywhere but Wrestlemania and Summerslam... Unless you're the women tag belts."
You're forgetting that in Summer 2023 Rey Mysterio defeated Austin Theory for the United States championship on Smackdown, ending Theory's 2nd & longest US title reign & beginning his 3rd US title, his first since 2019 when he defeated AJ Styles for the US belt on Raw with a little help from Randy Orton.
@@jodawa2504 That title reign wa so god damn awful not even papa H could wait till WM, lmao
@@leopoldogallarreta9323 Damn, man! Rey Mysterio winning the US title from Austin Theory on Smackdown(a title match originally for Santos Escobar, by the way) was a great moment because people got tired of Theory holding that title for so long & doing little to nothing with his second reign, much like his first reign, except for a few highlights), only for Rey Mysterio to do just about the same thing & to be screwed out of the title to current US champion Logan Paul at Crown Jewel 2023. 🤷🏾♂️
There are a few matches I would have put in before Jannetty beating HBK... Reigns beating Sheamus, Miz beating Orton, Punk beating Edge, Big E beating Lashley... or my personal choice only because a 11 year old me was in the crowd for the match, Jannetty and the Kid beating the Quebecers for the Tag titles at the one year anniversary show.
Another classic match on RAW British Bulldog beating Owen Hart to become the first holder of the WWE European championship on RAW which was taped in Berlin , Germany in 1997 . Watch this match if you get the chance .
123 Kid and Marty Janetty beating The Quebecers or The Headshrinkers beating The Quebecers didn't make the list ? Or when British Bulldog beat Owen Hart to become the first WWE European champion in a classic match ? Yes the Bulldog/Owen match was for an inaugural title but it was an absolute classic and at least deserved an honorable mention .
Halfway through this video, I realized what HAD to be number 1. 😂
The only one time wwe came to italy with an entire raw episode instead of a live event
The sad part, it happened during the Waning phase of the golden age of wrestling in Italy (2004-2007),
Some months after RAW in Italy the Benoit stuff happened, everything involving wwe was removed, and fans moved on... Until recent years when the Italian wrestling fandom has risen from its ashes with a wider knowledge about how wrestling mechanics such kayfabe, gimmicks etc works.
I think we're all going into this expecting Mankind vs the Rock to be at number 1, right?
Austin won the WWE title on Raw 3 times and none of those made it? Isnt his win over Taker the most viewed match in Raw history?
Should be top 3 austin vs taker was epic
Another thing about this is that Austin won back the WWE championship in the same month one year apart(beat Kane in June 1998 for his 2nd WWF title, but beat Undertaker in June 1999 for his 4th WWF title).
We early boys
Loved Cody and Goldust tag team
God I love Mick Foley
On a personal level, Paige winning the Divas title is #1 for me. I was a huge Paige fan at the time, and seeing her come out on Raw was a shock in itself. Then the fact she got an impromptu match AND WON was absolutely unheard of, especially because she was also the NXT Women’s Champion at the time. I wish she would have come out with the NXT belt so she could have shown off as double champion, and I was sad she relinquished it the following week, but still it was one of if not my favorite moment from a Raw after Wrestlemania.
If only Marty Janetty could CONTROL HIS NARRATIVE
Now do the same for Smackdown!
#10
31 years later
Now to do Smackdown NXT ECW and WCW
Enjoy title changes
I remembered The Unholy Alliance was Show and Taker. Don't you tell me I'm wrong Mr. Paciti.
Important one not here is Bayley winning her first main roster WOMEN'S championship in Las Vegas for RAW
Do 10 best WWE Smackdown title changes?
Austin over Kane 1998. Austin over Taker 1999. Hhh over mankind 1999. But good #1 choice
Surprised Austin winning the title from Kane wasn't on here.
AKA: Mankind on January 4th, 1999 and 9 others
Miz beating Roman Reings for the IC title at Raw 25.
I'm team Jeri-Oit.
Jeri wah for life yo
Stone cold winning the world title over Kane I thought would be on the list
Real number 2, Edge beating RVD and Cena in a triple threat.
The #1 was kind of obvious, but Dolph at 2? I don't think so.
I really liked when roman reigns won the title on RAW. It was on the rare occasion I stayed up to watch it live
Great list. A few of these I totally forgot about. I would swap out Charlotte and Sasha for Austin beating Taker for the WWE title in 99. That win came out of nowhere.
Rkbro
Not trying to be mean, but the background music in this video is pretty annoying.
Kane & xpac win the tag titles from Owen & Jeff???
Uh, Gail Kim winning the Women's title in her FIRST MATCH in WWE.
I think we all know what number one is…
That clip from Beyond The Mat of Rock beating up Mankind gave me nightmares
First
Cable isn’t free 🤭 🎉 I’m kidding
Who else thinks Owen Hart got "Hit" like snuffed for breaking stone colds neck; he caused the company and the roster all kinds of money by hurting the top of the card!!!
Big E…..?
Tata, Tata
It would be best if million & 1 scandals WWE stopped all there shady buisness dealings & there on & off camera horribleness
What shady scandals? lol
The Best One Is Kane Winning The IC Title Against Jericho
The Rock is a jabroni
I would of had Marty & the kid winning the tag titles from January 94 on here but still a good list 🙂
„would of had“? 😂
@@unforcedterror3136 ?
Stardust wins right ? dudes get over it
How is Kane vs y2j for the intercontinental strap not on the list?
Now 25 years later Tony is once again in a dying promotion!
Honorable mentions:
1. Triple H wins the WWF Championship in 1999
2. CM Punk wins the World Heavyweight Championship in 2008
3. Bobby Lashley wins the WWE Championship in 2021
Too many chick moments on this list.
How can you call these the best. THUMBS DOWN 👇
Cody cheated.
Don’t know whether I am in the minority or not but regardless
Cody and Goldust beating The Shield for the tag titles was JUST AS epic of a moment as Cody dethroning Roman Reigns at Mania
Unless it's the Attitude Era (and anything that came before it)...
WRESTLING SUCKS!!! 🤮
ok and
