Honorable mention goes to R-Truth, who at the age of 52, won the RAW (renamed World) Tag Team Championship alongside The Miz at Wrestlemania XL, making him the oldest to hold the championship.

That wrestlemania match with nicholas was a waste of time and talent for claudio, sheamus and strowman. I thought Nicholas was a make a wish kid but he was just a healthy kid of a referee! so why waste a match at wrestlemania with that kid for. ridiculous.

@@coltkillergaming5685 Still considered it a main event for Roman Reigns and everyone else in the match (was talked about when going over the number of Wrestlemania main events Roman Reigns has had), so Kevin Owens gets that honor too. Main eventing with an all-time great and being part of the first Tag Team Title Wrestlemania main event is quite significant.
Ithe difference is, Moolah just wanted recognition. Mae loved wrestling. Moolah loved power.

Oldest in USA. In Japan a joshi tag team were even older when they won titles.

Nick Bockwinkel winning the AWA World Heavyweight Championship in 1986. It was his 4th run with the belt & he was 51.
Minoru Suzuki winning the NEVER Openweight Championship in 2020. It was his 2nd run with the belt, he was 52 & two years late he won the ROH World Television Championship.
Bockwinkel's final AWA World Heavyweight run comes off better than Verne Gagne's, as Gagne last won it at 54 (from Bockwinkel) and retired a year later. Given AWA's "short-term main-belt run for $ elapsed/wrestler left, put it on Bockwinkel" 1980s default mode, AWA was lucky Bockwinkel actually made that WORK.
Terry Funk, a man whose first matches were seen on a black and white tv (Western States Sports) and his last match could be watched in HD online streaming (House of Hardcore), that's a hell of a career lineage, even if the majority of it is lost media.

2 weeks before Nash handed Ric the WCW title, Flair had beaten Jeff Jarrett for it. Russo then stripped him of the title and when Nash won it later, he gave it to Ric because he thought that Ric never deserved to be stripped. That's the story they went with anyways so yeah, still WCW 2000 y'all but the point is Ric did actually win the title in his 50's and it was considered a different reign from the one that was handed to him so I'm not sure why you felt the need to kind of disqualify it a bit other than poor research.

If I booked Ric Flair retirement storyline, I made him the oldest wwe champion in history.
My idea was Flair beat HBK and continue his saga, at Royal Rumble 2009 he was the number one contender and won the belt, then he goes to wretlemania in a triple threat match and retain the belt, but he decided to retire on monday night raw after wrestlemania on his own terms.
I was at the Smackdown where Chavo Classic won the Cruiserweight Title…it was confusing and hilarious lol
