Great tutorial and information...even better to see the good rapport you have with your client, looks as though you BOTH had fun doing the shoot. My thinking is if the model has an idea what is going on they will be alot more immersed in the process.

Thanks so much Nick. Yes I always believe that you need to communicate with your subject at all times. It's the only way to achieve the best results in my opinion. It also much more fun as you say :)

How do you keep your V-Flats from warping and straight like yours are?

I only recently found your channel and love your videos, subscribed and bell rung.

This was awesome. I’ve used flash duration mostly when dragging the shutter to gain ambient light and still freezing a subject.
Must have a bash at this. Maybe one of my chef clients will be up for it.
I’m guessing that the super short flash duration mode is a Profoto feature.
All those dust particles at only 1/100 is pretty bloody cool though 👍🏻
    Love it.

Thank you so much! That would be great to try with the chef! To my knowledge Profoto and Broncolor have fast flash durations. I'm not sure how this compares with other brands. What ever you use, just keep it at a lower power. Good luck - pancake day coming up soon, could always use flour! :)

@@HannahCouzensPhotography Some action pack like Lumedyne action pack, it's built in a way that the highest power actually has the fastest or shortest duration. But for most strobes it's generally true that the lesser power the faster the flash duration.
