  • Whether it’s studio flash, speedlight, or strobe, I show how you can produce a stop motion visual art photograph.
    How to freeze motion with flash.
    Use short duration flash to produce art from water.
    In this video I take you step by step through the process of lighting a subject to bring out surface detail yet still have filled shadows.
    How to make a saturated coloured gradient background.
    I'll use a Canon DSLR, tethered into Capture one software to show you how to capture your subject from basic image to completed photograph.
    Ideas for art photography.

    ¼ stop silk Diffuser
    Coloured gel
    Diffusion sheet background.
    Canon 24-70mm f2.8 Lens.

      @@CameraClubLive would finding a couple flashguns and light modifers be a good second choice to do photos like what you awesomely turn out? I do landscape but want to try still life. I use a 5Dmk4 and sigma 24 70. 70-300L and 35 sigma art for the landscape.

      Yes you can achieve similar results with a flash gun and soft box etc. You will need some form of flash trigger as well.
