I love these old trains
She has such a clear and lively whistle 💕 full of energy and excitement
YAAAAYYYYYYY THE STRASBURG 90!!!!!!!
The Strasburg is what got me into steam railroading as a kid. Long live the Route to Paradise
Great video about 90 it's one of the steam engines I used to grew up with maybe one day ill see it at strasburg.
I’m also impressed with that older 83 lb rail it’s running on! Don’t see that often these days.
Speaking of which, the Strasburg Railroad 2-10-0 Decapod #90 will be turning 100 years old by 2024!! Making #90 one of the oldest operational steamers in the USA.
Unfortunately, she’s going out for her 1,472 day inspection this year. She’s my favorite Strasburg engine.
My favorite too.
Mine too actually! I almost got ran over by that engine from three feet away as the engineer was blowing its whistle like they do after they arrive at the station. I mean they never learn how to keep it quiet but they do it just for fun. I enjoy going there but still, they have to stop doing that loud stuff.
My favorite as well!!!
At Strasburg she's my favorite. But in general the PRR K4
Is my favorite Sorry I kept commenting I kept leaving things out.
It's good to see that this engine's tender has finally had its Arch-bar trucks replaced by more modern ones!!
Everyone should ride a train at least once when it’s being pulled by a steam locomotive! Like WWII Vets we’re loosing these engineering marvels almost daily. Our world of today is far more complicated and riding behind a steam locomotive will force you to smile!
nice one
One mystery in terms on strasburg #90 is; when was that cyclone extension added to her smokebox, and why?
It is believed to have been added in the 1940's to aid in the combustion of the poor-quality coal that the Great Western burned.
@@PennsyPro fascinating
@PennsyPro Amazing video I love locomotive number 90 so much. Unfortunately, soon she will go out of service to start her long overhaul and rebuild. Can I use this wonderful footage for my channel?
what is the sulfur content of strasburgs coal? I have seen yellowish discolorations in some of their coal a
