When Steve Lerro decides to make a narrated documentary, he does it with style. Which is why is he never ceases to amaze me! Even without narration!
Jachon Clark I agree this video was really cool it was able to turn it into an old video tape
8:13 love seeing 90 whistling at the Amtrak crews
I know right
There's just something about old the steamer whistles that gives me goosebumps. What a sound.
"we pay that locomotive $27.50 " lol wonderful model!
They've been saying that every single trip since the 1960s. I'm sure they're sick of it by now lol
I Know its corny ( no pun intended) but it's funny to me
Otaku Railfan they actually pay the other person to blow the whistle the most out of all the employees at Strasbourg u can here them say it while riding the train irl
[WUT] RKProRacer well the real deal is it’s an echo. But you pretty sure get a few people with that.
Connor Lee hello animated channel picture?
''I wonder who's on the project list.'' 'Sees C&O L1 Streamlined Hudson' ''YES!''
Superbly made! I particularly liked the amtrak scene and the extra VHS-like effects.
It's one of my favorite scenes in the video!
K&L Trainz Who’s F40PH is that? More specifically, which K5LA is that on the DLS? I dig it.
Awesome video Steve!
@@Kayushi It's on Jointed Rail, it's payware.
Wow, just superb really gives me some nostalgia the VHS feel and the beautiful East Strasburg yard, engine house, East Strasburg station are amazing. Even if you made this documentary and didn't even release the model I would be thrilled with that. Less like a promo and more like a full on documentary and the open air coaches look stunning. You never cease to impress! Keep up the outstanding work!
Have to say you’ve done it again. Superb job Steve!!
This is probably the best model you made hands down
ahatbears agreed my friend very much agreed
This Is Great Watching The Strasburg Railroad With SRC #90 & 1980s Hourly Train With Great Western #90 1924 2-10-0 Decapod 😊😊😊 🚂🚂🚂
Absolutely outstanding Steve. Great work!
As of 2014, Strasburg 90 and Frisco 1630 are the only preserved decapods in operation, at least in the United States. And I look forward to what the N&W 475 will come with.
Excavator: Nu Uh
I rode behind #90 in 2015, it was the first steam locomotive I ever rode
I love they way that all the coaches were painted back then during that time, and i especially love the way the Hello Dolly Looked too. I wish The Strasburg would repaint their coaches to appear like they did during this time and rebuild all of their open air cars to look just like the Hello Dolly Does from this time period.
this is the best ive seen from the K&L Trainz Promotion videos. Great work Steve, Keep up the excellent work-Joseph
Didnt expect this at all, i gotta say this is great! Nice job as always Steve!
The first steam locomotive I ever saw in my life (in person anyways) was this beautiful engine, I have to say, it might’ve been some time ago that I saw the engine but the model you have create fits every last detail I can remember and it’s amazing, you can bet I’ll be picking this up very soon
“Yup. We pay that ghost 27.50 a day to sit there and blow that whistle back.” XD
It’s beautiful. Well done. I can’t wait to see what the Trainz community does with this.
On a side note, where did you get the 31?
I modified one side and the front end of CN 7470 for the video. Nothing substantial enough to consider release worthy.
I see. Thank you for the info. May I guess, however, that you may create the O9 switcher should it be commissioned?
Patriot Works the “ghost” gets paid the most out of all Strasbourg employees
The narration I heard a few weeks ago they said $20. The economy is really taking a hit!
Sad 90 going for the inspection
Wow! This is a stunning model, a must have for any strasburg fan
Eastern PA Railfanner611 who doesn’t like Strasbourg?
@@rkpr9370 some of the Pennsylvania-Dutch people...
Check out the Strasburg Railroad route for TRS 2019 on my page!
Watching K&L make fantastic models make me regret buying train simulator by dovetails.
Good thing is the Trainz 12 and K&Ls models aren't that expensive at all so I'm gonna be having lots of fun.
I love the addition of Conductor Ned Sheffer at the end.
Amazing work on this model, it really does look and sound the part. I also really like the model of PRR 1223. You guys really make some amazing content for Trainz.
OH MY GOD IT’S OUT! I love the SRC, and I’ve ridden behind the 89 and 90, so this is great!
I love the SRC. I first went there when the station was a crossing shanty and no steam. I've been back as often as possible over the years but my biggest thrill was in 1967 when I walked from our parking spot past the shop and there was the 90! I had seen her many times in TRAINS and Railroad magazines but never dreamed I'd ever see her in person and alive. What a great engine! Always be a special spot in my heart for the 31 but nothing compares to sights, sound or smells from the 90.
Definitely on my bucket list
Yay! I went to Strasburg a year ago, and it was really great. Now I can get a model of it for trainz!
This is so awesome 90 being released today you are the best Steve.
I’m finally going to be able to run T:ANE smoothly now that I bought a PC at last. Absolutely top notch Steve. Nice to see you’re doing 490 soon.
FINALLY THE STRASSBURG RR 90 THANK YOU I HAVE BEEN WAITING FOR THE STRASSBURG 90 IN K&L TRAINZ
It’s Strasburg not strassburg.
Steve, you done me proud! She's gorgeous! Honestly, I sobbed a lot watching this... xD
Well done on the Harrisburg number 90. Keep up the awesome work
As a kid, I must have visited here about 7,000 times. Never gets old.
I love 90 thank you so much!!!!!!!!
Awesome Steve!!!, C&O Hudson also Awesome!
No. 90 sure is proud of being Great Western.
I wanna go to the Strasburg Railroad someday, and if you're wondering what happened to #7002, #31, #1223, let me tell you. #7002 was retired from excursion service on December 20, 1989, and it was donated to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania, where it stands today on static display. For #31, it was removed from excursion service in 2009 for a heavy rebuild. As of 2022, it's currently undergoing restoration to bring it back under steam. #1223 was retired on October 26, 1989, and like #7002, it was donated to the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania where it's currently on display.
These are great videos, I've bought a lot of K & L locos on the strength of these.
I’ve been to Strasburg many times and I’m always met with No. 90’s beautiful whistle
That’d be cool if Jointed Rail Collabed with you guys to make the Strasburg Railroad since you have literally all the engines for it. I love this locomotive especially being around it all the time! Great job guys your unbelievably talented.
Great work on the locomotive it is very detailed
Awesome!! So awesome Steve! Just bought this!!
Why do you always respond every video
@@kadenrobinson7067 why do you have a problem whenever he comments on a video?
What a great locomotive, I think this locomotive had quite some history to it. For instance, did you know Steve that Strasburg Railroad #90 and Canadian Pacific 4-6-2 #127 formally known as #1278 doubleheaded together in a special passenger train run. When I first saw that footage of those two highballing, I was astonished by the display. But whether that Canadian Pacific #127 ever gets commissioned or not, I don’t care. I’ll always be excited for this locomotive and all the rest of your iron horse collection for many years to come.
Justin Pinel no I didn’t know that
WUT RKProRacer Oh yeah, and there is video proof of it too. Look up Twilight of Steam video, the entire length of the video should be about 30:00+ long and right around the 26:40 mark you’ll see what I just described above. The sound for the steam locomotives have been dubbed unfortunately, but that is just the way the dvd producers half to do it because the footage is so old.
Thx
K & L should do steam town USA next
WUT RKProRacer Maybe after they complete Norfolk and Western 475 (which is the next train up #1 on the list to be commissioned if you didn’t already know), they would do that. That would be a great addition to the Strasburg Railroad.
now that we got the #90 I say that we have completed the collection of decapods.
unless we're missing the Seaboard Air Line #544.
10/10
Christopher Plaugher Western Maryland I2 Decapods are missing.
I was just at Strasburg the other day for RailCamp.
Love it! Great Job!
I LOVE THAT STEAM LOCOMOTIVE! SO COOL i will 100% buy it awesome pal so amazing
Nice now can't wait to see when 475 is built and any other Strasburg Locos on the agenda that you are gonna make for trainz keep great work up
Strasburg #90 is my favorite all time
Amazing model of Strasburg's most well known engine. Also gotta love PRR 1223
Saw 1223 in the Railroad Museum of Pennsylvania about 12 years ago. Beautiful old engine. Rode behind 89 a day later IIRC. Strasburg truly is a magical place.
I love that strasburg railroad #90's whistle is a reading 6 chime like she always has. And the Bell.
this is a great video i've now gain a liking for the 90 (after i said n&w 475 is my favorite one of the src fleet the gwr 90 is in the same position and cn 89 too)
As always amazing job!
I'm gonna buy this thing. It's Amazing!
I love how you added the “yep we pay that Ghost $25.50 a day to sit out there and blow the whistle back” that was the funniest part of the ride.
AWSOME!!!!!!!!!! YOU ARE AWESOME STEVE LERROOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!
Man. Giving me nostalgia with that intro
Very impressive job well done! Next project N&W 475!
P.S. Keep up the outstanding work, man!!!
Well done Steve!
I paid 12 dollars for this and it was so worth it
I've got a strasburg route but not this one. Anyone know where this one can be found?
This isn't a route. He makes these as scenes for his videos. Dioramas, basically.
I went to Strasbourg a few months ago and I loved everything so thx for making a video about 90 it’s the most famous locomotive there. And at the Strasbourg museum there’s a Virginia and Truckie RR engine
Nice touch using Pennsylvania Shortlines at the end ;)
The 1 and only bridge on the entire railroad
This is such an Incredible model
Great video
I didn't know that the GWR railway made an American steam locomotive I thought they just made British steam locomotives. But I love this video of strasburg railroad #90.
I can’t wait to get this!! 😎😃😀😀
*Waits For YAY Comments*
K&L Trainz please listen I really love your websites and your CZcams channel I hope your website and your CZcams channel keeps on going
I hope too.
K&L Trainz :) it will
@@KLTrainz Where did you get the Strasburg Railroad route?
Huge fan.
I just came here at 12:10 PM (EST) and now it shows 9,900 views! WOW!
Omg yes 90 is back
Love the old vhs feel to the reveal of the #90 just fantastic!!! Also, where is this route so I can do some operations with the Strasburg locos
Check out my route: czcams.com/video/ttgLA_CYauw/video.html
I have ridden on this locomotive numerous times
YES!
Man I wish I could had starsburg railroad on my tap top
I bought this!
Steve lerro the PRR 1223,PRR 7002,and Canadian National 31. Are they reskins that y’all done? Because I have to say they’re not that bad to be Strasburg railroad reskined locomotives. One of the best videos ever in my opinion. Good work. Thumbs up for this video.
TRAINZ MASTER 745 Productions they have 1223 and 7002 for purchase on their website.
Here’s an question when did #89 come to the rr?
7002 is available for sale on the website, 1223 is available for free on the website freeware page, and 31 was a quick mockup mod of my CN O18a.
89 came in 1972. It was out of service most of the 1980s. Which is why it wasn't shown in the video, and also a big reason 7002 showed up. 7002 went back to the museum around the same time 89 came back into service in the late 80s, and 1223 was done in 1989. 2 years later they bought 475, putting her into service in 1993.
Steve I saw your notification on Facebook and I vote both 844 and 425.
Awesome!
there she is, the one and only!
This is amazing, very well done as per usual Steve ,will you ever do SRC 31 I see you re did 7470 as her for this.
Him: “We pay that ghost 27.50 a day to sit there and blow that whistle back.”
Other Strasburg trains that did just that: *Are we jokes to you?*
Amazing work! Love your trains! When you make N&W 475 can you make a model of her when she was used in Thomas and The Magic Railroad?
I bet BillVu can’t even do a VHS effect for his so called “reskin promos”
Those should be called Robbery Chumps, Because they look nothing like what they are painted to be
I made an accurate SP 4449 Mid war reskin with trainz forge’s GS4, but he steals ben’s J Class and bicholas styles the engine
Another amazing model as always. And an amazing route to go with it! Is it the route from Commuter Rail or entirely custom? If it’s custom the attention to detail is amazing as well!
It's noted in the credits that I made all the scenes. The Commuter Rail route was not used at all. It's station buildings where but I ended up making my own engine shed because of how much older it needed to be.
I just bought this! Are you going to release the modern coaches with N&W 475, or just an independent loco?
YES FINALLY
You all know that Walt Disney loves trains.
OOOHHH!!! Yeah!!!
TheSaint 03 put yeah after ooohhh and u could be the next cool aid😂
8:16 Amtrak met with Strasburg Railroad in NEC nice shot.
Ethan Campbell it’s actually the Keystone Corridor not the NEC.
Nice
howd you make 90 and that Amtrak train salute each other at the same time? did you do that same mechanism you did with 630 and 4501?
Sweet.
Have you ever thought of making Baldwin Locomotive Works number 26 (aka Steamtown NHS)?
In the future, here are some projects you could try:
GSMR 1702
Morris County Central Railroad 385
ATSF 2-10-4
Strasburg Camelback 1187/Reading 4
PRR T1 5550
GTW 6323 (Unsimilar to 6325, same class tho)
Ones he did not do:
PRR T1 5550
ATSF 2-10-4
GSMR 1702 (yet)
And...
MCCRR 385 (yet)
I was just at strasburg and saw 90
How did they make the effect of the whistle for the ghost whistle, I need to do thst for my vids
OMG YES
