Don't forget to like and subscribe ... I need all the help I can get to keep up with the young guys. LOL
Okie Dokie well check it out
Lol 😆 I don't know how much trouble it might cause ya Bob , but in order to accomplish that you'll need to pass out some business cards for hot, young, willing to learn, female free welder helper lessons.. then class will really be in session 😂 true that !
@@petesscrapheapgarage3130 Ha haa ... they don't actually need to know or learn how to weld right? As long as they can hold a welding lead and look hot doing it!
No honestly ..... I see some guys have to have a hot chick on screen in order to get views .... I'll shut down my channel first!
I am little older that are Bob . my names Bob too . I love your work. good part is you recycle this stuff. and give it a new life.
@@RatRodBobBuilds you got that right just look at that unstoppablemoran she's just been riding around with dogs living in a bronco for a year with 200k subscribers 😂 I think she maybe tack welded once or twice 🤣 made $100K in one month then blowed it all on nothing
Bob, you not just a rocket scientist but your an artist in ratrodology!
As your broken co-hort would say. I'm digging it boss.
actually my favorite auto build channel for several reasons. i think you are pure natural genius, and i have learned a lot. as a retired auto painter i know the dangers of modern paint materials. i'd like you to be able to stay healthy for many years to come, and would also love to make the trek to visit you in person if that is ever possible. i beg you to use a respirator when spraying paint, so you'll be healthy when i get there. you are my hero!
I give a thumbs every time. Enjoy every one. Learning a lot.
Glad to hear it!
It's an old truck with new paint, you're just getting the paint to catch up with the truck or degress to the truck...I like it. Thanks for letting me hang out in the shop with you.
Looks like an old cherry red Gibson, Bob. Beautiful.
I think you're one hell of a builder.
Getting better daily
I think that old truck is gonna look mighty fine Bob!
Ole truck lookin good. Bring back the Henry J !
What I like about you Bob you’re not afraid to try stuff. Paint job looks real kool.
Love watching these different techniques
The sun visor looks righteous! Bob certainly knows this, but for you others, with a catalyzed paint, if you've put in the catalyst, but you have lots of leftover and are going to paint the next day, put it in an old refrigerator, not one you put your food in!!! And it will keep a few days, certainly overnight. Let it come back up to ambient temperature before using.
Bob, when I "weather" model railroad cars (nothing is shiny on the railroad) I do similar to what you did with the black, and it not only adds to the age/patina/grime, but really brings out the details on panel lines, rivets, and other surface detail.
Wow ... didn't know about the frig thing ... never too old to learn.
@@RatRodBobBuilds Bob, we did that at work with Jones-Blair Acrylithane, which was a catalyzed polyurethane chemical resistant paint. You can find an old working fridge. Don't put your lunch or any food items in that fridge, use it only for paint. I think the paint, at normal temps, 70-90*F had a pot life of about four hours. We'd keep a gallon mixed for painting smaller subassemblies, think motor size stuff, as we'd rebuild these items, so we could make a gallon of paint go two days.
This paint comes not a full gallon. Open and mix. There is still room to add a pint of the hardener, and a little thinner. Then it is just right to paint. Thinner... they called it "Reducer", and there were fast, medium, and slow reducers available. Another trick was to add about 50% extra hardener, which would make it a really hard shiny finish.
That sun visor is killer.
Those scratches the same way the wind is blowing will give it more top end. HOTDOG !!!!! I see Red. Hallelujah, Good to see Red. 😁👍👊🇺🇸
It's wickedly beautiful!
Look forward to seeing it finished.
Adding some more colors was a good idea. It's always cool to see something different.
Good afternoon Bob, the progress is looking great! Looking forward to the next episode!
Bob, you are indeed an artist.....just not starving...lol
Looms good as always bob. Crazy what one man can do without all the crazy machinery and 12 workers doing the work.
Wow! This technique on the truck is perfect. I’m hoping you do something more like this than just black and silver like charolette got on your current build! I gotta say, that is likely one of the most involved paint jobs I’ve seen yet!
Think it looks AWESOME red&black
That black lays in those crevices like 80 yrs of road grime, absolutely beautiful work Bob. This is a hell of a go around for a one man show, loving every single episode. Stay safe brother.
You Sure Know Your Craft... Thanks for Sharing... Bob
She’s looking good Bob.
Professor, you are a true artist. I am amazed by your skill & knowledge... please don't stop giving me lessons in that highly classified rat rodology. Appreciate ya. You definitely gettin' it done!

Bob, I think it looks real nice, sorta like a black cherry but better. Just enough silver in the right places.
I like it! It brings out the lines. Makes it look dark and mean. Nice job Bob!
Looks great Bob, that bit of black sprayed on makes all the difference mate. One hell of a nice job.
Deep red cab , w/ the blue motor & metal...give it a subtle red , white and blus "American" look....I love it man
RJ
Man that looks good Bob, red and black, my favorite.

I Really Like it.....
Black Cherry is what I was shooting for.
As I have said before you sir are an artist 👩🎨
You do great work Bob. I totally enjoy watching you create artwork with metal , a little paint and a lot of creativity. You've ionspired me to do similar affects on my 51 Ford pickup.
I think it's great ☺️ like the look of the cab.

Thanks for bringing us along on your wonderful build Bob! I'm also currently building a 47 Ford truck myself! Tell ol' Red there we say howdy from southwest Virginia! It the heart of Appalachia!
Lived in Woodbridge for a year on a construction project back in the 80's. Loved southwest Virginia much better.
Looking great Bob
Very nice work indeed! Thanks for posting.
dam looks sweet i call it stiche's if i had a rat rod made in that style.love it peace.

WELLLLL Bob You're Beating a WHOLE CUSTOM SET o Drums and I'm DIGGIN The Rythm 😎😎😎. God Bless All.
I'm Diggin it Bawb, that paint looks good toned down and aged, that Thang is gonna look Great
"Don't have a clue what I'm doing, but we're going to find out". And that's what real custom work is all about! Giving it a go and making it work!
Looks awesome Bob. Love that "stiched" look. It's bitchin
Adding another level of awesomeness! She's beautiful 😍
Wow Bob that puppy looks awesome ! I gotta get me a Rat Rod Bob T shirt, I'm sold. 👍😎
Luv it Bob, a work of art it is.
It's looking badass Bob
I really like the look. Going to give it a try myself!
Perfect Bob amazing look
Fabulous Bob absolutely" fabulous"
Bob I've watched a lot of your builds. This one is different, but I couldn't put my finger on it. The frame and engine looks like one of those paintings you can't tell if it's a photo or a picture. I like the look a lot. Keep up the great work.
Probably the color grading ... had to much color saturation on this one. But did you like it better or not so much?
It's looking good
I love how this is turning out. My dad is working on a full fendered 46 Ford pickup with a SBC and 4 speed, so it cool to see how the two builds are progressing.
Sir you truly amaze me with all of your skills.
