Custom Federal Signal Smart Vector - Any Smarter it Would be a Vision

This video is an update to the custom smart vector project. This smart vector has a total of 4 smart pods instead of the standard 2. This video runs through the setup now that it is complete.

Nicely done mate. The jog option FedSig had is a good option. It'd be pretty usefull as a spot light, especially if you can control head light individually. What would be even cooler is if they integrated the technology from their NightSpire beacon into the rotator, well at least the tilt function. Being able to tilt the beam down 15 to 20 degrees would be helpful for spotlighting and scene illumination.

i wish stepper motor tech was a little better when the vector/vision came out, you'd be able to increase the speed of the oscillation sequence and not lose any flash rate.... The SLR has modern steppers and is able to oscillate twice {maybe more!} as fast as the vision

Nice done. Even though it would cut the flash rate, may the all oscillation to the front be more attention getting?

Hello, beautiful build. My question is, are you running two of the "smart pod" boards under the cover? Meaning one control board for 2 pods?. Thanks in advance for your response.

I've had both vision and smart vector. Vector was less buggy. Better IMHO. Good project!
