    I have one on my bike. It's a great product for all skill levels/familiarity of tuning. One of the first things you should do is to plug it up to your computer and update the software/library on the PV. It has some great tuning functions that you can access only through your computer though. Your auto-tuning (ride/street tuning) doesn't need the computer (you can do air/fuel first, then spark), but if you wanted adjust things like the Engine Idle Temp Management system, power enrichment, temperature maps and more you'll need the computer. The logging features are very detailed as well, where you can use that data to tune instead of using the autotune if you wanted.
    I leave it attached so I can watch my VE, engine temp, fuel used, and instant fuel economy... Sometimes, staying out of 6th gets you better mileage... ;)

    I'm now stage 4 running woods tw6hg.cams two into one exhaust, 95 cubic inch, 10:1 comp about 9.7 corrected. 190 psi.

I did however, have problems with the original TTS tune. The shop that did the install could not override the tune. They had to pull the ECU, ship it to California and have the company delete the tune ($65). Then they could install the PowerVision and put the bike on a Dyno for full tune. Massive improvement. How does it compare to the fp3

    • @RevZilla
      @RevZilla  Před 5 lety +2

      The Power Vision comes pre-loaded with a number of maps for your bike and has a basic auto tune feature to adjust those maps. More advanced tuning requires an Auto Tune Pro module and/or taking the bike to a dyno shop. The FP3 requires an Android or Apple iOS device, in order to load a fuel map to your bike, but you have more auto tuning capability with the FP3 without having to add another module. The Power Vision with Auto Tune Kit does have access to more exhaust sensor data, though, so really advanced tuning is better with the Power Vision. -DrewZilla

      You have to leave the unit on the bike. It's the Auto Tune Module that collects the data, so it needs to be installed and engaged for it to work. +ehab nihad Yes, the Power Vision is just for Harley. For other bikes, consider the Dynojet Power Commander. -DrewZilla

      It depends on your model of bike and whether both are available to fit your model. Also, the Power Commander is a piggyback system, so it doesn't change the stock fuel map. It takes the fuel map as an input then sends a modified fuel map signal to the fuel injectors. The Power Vision actually edits the stock ECU fuel map and gets married to the bike. It's just two different ways to achieve a similar end result. -DrewZilla

      Thanks man. Does the firmware etc have to be updated on a PC before using? Or can I plug it in to the bike if it's already been setup by previous owner?

      If you don't need to change the map, then you don't need to use a computer. -DrewZilla

    The unit will constantly lock up and go blank. Dynojet hasn't fixed the issue and don't seem to care. Go checkout any HD forum and see all the people complaining about the Vision not working. Go buy something else and save some hjeadaches.

    I bought one from my local dealer and they installed it along with motor and exhaust work but they didn't give me any monitor or anything when I picked up my bike. Do i need to go back and get it or is this normal? Thanks

      The Power Vision is used to overwrite the stock ECU's fuel mapping, so once the tuning is completed, the device can be and often times is removed. Are you sure they didn't install a Power Commander V? With the Power Commander V, there is no screen, only a small box that is permanently mounted out of the way on the bike (usually under the seat or behind a side cover). The Power Commander differs in that it doesn't replace the stock fuel mapping. Instead, it receives the signal from the stock ECU, modifies it based on the programmed map, and then sends the modified signal to the fuel injectors. -DrewZilla

      Sometimes you just buy the license for their tuner for your bike. If you spent~200 thats what you did, if you spent 500-600 you should have the interface
