Hi. I'm Phyllis Curott and I'm a Wiccan priestess. And this is Gia. I have been a Wiccan priestess since 1981. So that's more than 30 years. I'm also the founder of the tradition of Ara, the temple of Ara, which is shamanic Wiccan tradition. And we are global now.
I'm also a lawyer. I've been practicing law for as long as I've been practicing Wicca. And handled a lot of the early Wiccan rights cases. I was the only Wiccan attorney for a long time and I was public since 1983. So I have a lot of the early Wiccan rights cases. The right to perform legally binding marriages in New York. The right to perform a full moon ritual, actually, in a public part in Chicago which other religions had been able to use for their purposes. And I consulted on the Pentacle case, the Army Pentacle case. And lots of high school students wanting to wear pentacles.
And I'm also an author. I've written a number of books. The first one was Book of Shadows which was the first memoir of how and ivy league lawyer becomes a witch and willing to say that in public. And witch crafting. A lot of which is the subject of the videos today, which is a guide to practicing and why to practice. Not just the how but the why as well.
I'm the vice chair of the Parliament of the World's Religion, such as the world's oldest and largest interfaith organization which introduced yoga and Buddhism to the United States, to the west and to the United States. And which in 1993, which is the first modern parliament, introduced Wicca and interpreted paganism to the world.
There are three books. The first was Book of Shadows and the second is Witchcrafting and the third is Love Spells and there's a new book that is hopefully going to be out next year which is called The Green Man. And will be followed by the Earth Principals. So that's coming out.
I lecture and I teach internationally. I travel all over the world in order to teach because that is what a priestess is. A priestess is a teacher. And so I'm deeply committed to teaching these practices. Because I really do believe that they are the means by which we're going to reestablish right relationship with the earth.

My absolutely favorite Wiccan High Priestess. If you are interested in learning about Wicca, then I highly recommend all of her books. Her books are "Book of Shadow," "Witch Crafting" and "Love Spell".
First I was kind of doubtful when watching these videos... but I grew completely won by this amazing woman and the wonderful wisdom you feel and hear coming out of her. Watched the whole series and loved every video!

I too am wiccan and I must say I admire your courage to be open about Being wiccan, I personally have had some bad experiences with haters who just assumed that Wicca is devil worship.

When I was a teen, I met a friend's mom who instantly I felt that I knew all my life. Honest, open, kind, empathic, and strong. Very refreshing in a world of teen phoniness. I later learned the term, Earth Mother. People like her are blessed and are a blessing to all. And I love her expressive eyes and smile. People who know theirselves are always "live." I'm A yugr Wiccan and I'm still learning about Wicca and spell casting and all the different gods and goddesses I know about the Greek gods and goddesses and the Norse gods and goddesses but there's always more to learn but more importantly I struggle cumming be comfortable with myself saying Wiccan oh negative people can be sometimes and I'm an empath so I feel their emotions as my own sometimes and have trouble separating my own from theirs but now that I know that I'm having a lot easier time with that part but I'd like to learn more from you please you are inspirational

I was able to attend some classes given by Lady Rhea and Lady Miw, and I have read your book, Book of Shadows. I felt a need to write a brief introduction to Wicca. (I know, there are hundreds out there already) and self-published it, but it has never been reviewed. If you could, I would like you to read it. I would like to send a paper copy, if Temple of Ara has a post office box. Thanks .

Oh! Uhhhh...Could you help me please?! I've been a Wiccan for about 3 years and I've become sorry to f stagnant in my teachings. I have no teacher and wish you have one if possible! But there's a little problem, all my things were thrown away! (Wand, little cauldron, Tarot cardd...) and such things like that. I'm not sure how to practice on my own anymore. Please can you help me?

I came across your video studying to understand what a white witch is. I am a Christian and I am looking to help a friend understand the differences of what the teachings of Jesus are both old and new testament and why a "witch" is not the path to God's redemption. Thank you for sharing.

My Entire family mom and dad (which I haven’t really met but still) sides are highly Christian and still believe that man are the strongest and the workers and woman should be prim and proper so I’m pretty sure they would shove a bible down my throat if I told them I didn’t believe in god and was considering being wicca :/

Nice introduction on the basis of wicca. I understand that wicca has nothing to do with the worship of demons but i just have one thing to say. When you are referring to who the divine is who are you talking about yourself or another? Cause i hear you say that a lot. And to me and i'm not hear to criticize the wiccan culture or community but you can't find inner peace of satisfaction with the world or the universe. Wicca and witchcraft is just man's made up belief that they can try to be there own god by using nature as a tool to achieve success. And sorry to burst your bubble but happiness doesn't come from the world or the universe, it comes from Jesus. All physical stuff like a tree, a rock, a car, or money can never be enough be cause ALL physical stuff is temporary and there's no value in it. What's so valuable about something if you can't even keep it in your hand once you die? Death is just a natural part of living. And a matter of fact NOTHING materialistic or physical (including the human body) can inherit heaven that last forever. I believe and everyone in YT can have their opinions on it too. I believe once you die as a believer in christ, your spirit goes to heaven which is your eternal heavenly body. But if you die as a unbeliever, you go to a place called the hades or the white throne judgment where you'll be sentenced to go to hell. Yep, materialism, trees, food, and also the human body is temporary. The ONLY thing that will last forever is the spirit of each individual. Body=Temporary Spirit=Eternity I don't believe in physicality coexisting with the spirituality. Physical is weak and corruptible while ALL spiritual is everlasting.
SO, like, seriously, I don't tell you your religion is a made up belief, don't tell me what mine is.

...She said nothing about religion. You can be wiccan and be Christian. Christians say god loves everyone but then as soon as someone doesn't agree with them they are going to hell. Doesn't sound very loving to me. (Please note I was born and raised christian and I have been turned away from it because of the above).
